(ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO HEB/GRK FONTS?)

I don't know how to do the Hebrew font, but the Greek is "<.font face=symbol.>" (w/o the periods)

IHSOU in Greek font is "IHSOU" (uppercase)
or "ihsou" (lowercase)

Greetings Greg,
and thanks for your response.

I followed your post about the name being removed, which is interesting. But you lost me with the Yahweh-Shua part. Isn't the fact that the name "Jesus" replaced "Yahushua" itself qualify as a "removal" of his name?

The name "Jesus" is less than 500 years old, so couldn't have been the replacement. In addition, the name "Jesus" doesn't come from the biblical text, but from the extra-biblical IESIUS. http://www.geocities.com/dabar_olam/Origin-Jesus.htm

Yes, Yahweh resurrected Him from the dead, and Yahweh is our salvation, but doesn't Yahushua mean "Yahweh Saves", and isn't that sufficent to mean the same thing, and therefore, is not defiling the holy place?

I look forward to your comments.

Greg

The name Yah'shua (yothe hey waw sheen waw ayin) is an expansion of the name "Hoshea" (hey waw sheen ayin) by the addition of two letters, the yothe and a waw, though the waw is generally replaced with a quibbits, except in Deu 3:21 & Judges 2:7. Simply, Hoshea means 'salvation' and Yah'shua means 'Yah saves'. Just because we understand that "Yah" is an infrequently used contraction of "Yahweh" doesn't mean that the full form is readily interchangeable with it. Do do so would mean the full form would have to be used in many other names as well.

The Name of Inheritance (Heb 1:4) is not lower than the angels as was the prophetic human name, Yah'shua, but was the "more excellent name" which is above every name.

Wherefore Yahweh also hath highly exalted him, and given
him a name which is above every name: That at the name of
YahwehShua every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and
things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every
tongue should confess that YahwehShua Messiah is Sovereign,
to the glory of Elohim the Father. -Phil 2:9-11 (See Isaiah
45:21-23)
