: Great post, Sis. D'vorah!
: Can you tell me where the word "sh'khinah" occurs in the Hebrew of the Tanakh?
: I couldn't find anything resembling the word in the Hebrew Dictionary portion of the Strong's Concordance, so I had to assume that the word isn't in the "Old Testament", at least until someone can fill me in.

The word "Sh'khinah" literally means "the dwelling" and comes from the word "Shakhan" to dwell: 07931 shakan {shaw-kan'} Try looking in these passages: Shemot/Ex. 25:8 : "And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell [v'shakhanti] among them." Also...29:45 Brakhot, D'vorah
