"Understanding and Finding the Narrow Gate"

We are ready to get started on today's topic. It is a very important topic for us to discuss, one that has caused a lot of confusion over the last couple of thousand years and for a lot of people who are here in our generations.

A lot of times when we share the things that we understand, concerning the Sabbath Day, for instance, or concerning the necessity of keeping Yahweh's commandments in the Torah, the Feast Days, maybe the clean and unclean and the importance of calling upon the name of Yahweh...

You know in the back of peoples minds (and sometimes they will just come right out and say it), one of the things that you are often going to hear is, "How can it be that you are right and so many other people are wrong?" or "How can it be that so many millions of people could be deceived?"

Or, "How could those people who have the degrees and the scholarships and the Ph.D.'s and all those letters after their name be deceived, but not you? Who are you?" Or maybe others might feel like, "Well, I hear what you are saying, but why would our heavenly Father allow so many people to be blinded to this if it is really true?"

Or, "It is awful prideful of you," they might say, "to think that millions of Bible believers, who are sincere in their faith, are all wrong and only you (and maybe a small number of others you may know) are right. How could you possibly believe that?"

You know, Yahushua was actually asked a very, very similar question when He was on the earth.

Luke 13:22 - And He went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

23 - Then one said to Him, "Master, are there few who are saved?" And He said to them,

24 - "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

Wow! Well, I see there in verse 23, maybe they were taken aback at the Messiah's teaching as He went through the cities and villages, and this prompted the very question that so many other people ask us today. They wanted to know: Is it really true? Is it really just so few who will be saved?

Is it really possible that so many would be deceived and only a relative few would be the ones who receive salvation? It is a question they asked Him, and it is a question we have to answer today. And so, our study topic for today's broadcast is: Understanding and Finding the Narrow Gate.

What is the narrow gate? How can we find the narrow gate if we are looking for it? And how can we understand what that narrow gate actually is? Yahushua said, "Strive to enter." It is going to take effort, isn't it? It is going to take a tremendous amount of willing to battle to enter the narrow gate.

He said, "Many, MANY, I say to you." Oh, they will seek to enter, but they won't be able. It is kind of a scary thought if you really think about this. He goes on to say:

Luke 13:25 - "When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, `Master, Master, open for us,' and He will answer and say to you, `I do not know you, where you are from,'

26 - "then you will begin to say, `We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.'

He is talking to the people in His generation.

Luke 13:27 - "But He will say, `I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.'

Luke 13:28 - "There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of Elohim, and yourselves thrust out.

29 - "They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of Elohim.

30 - "And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last."

One of the questions we get-- "How can it be that all these people are deceived?" Yahushua said, "Strive to enter in that narrow gate." It does mean narrow, something to walk through.

Now how many people can go through it (maybe single file, I don't know, two at a time), but it says it is a narrow gate. Many will seek to enter that gate, but will not be able to enter that gate.

And so, in light of the Scriptures that tell us this way to life is narrow, maybe the question shouldn't be: "How is it that just a few know this or just a few believe this?"

Maybe the real question is: "How can it be that one-third of the earth's population believe in the Messiah, or at least say they do, and all of them are not deceived if this is a narrow gate that many seek to enter and will not be able?"

Now before I say anything further on this question, I want you to know that the dividing line of who is a believer and who is not a believer is not necessarily based on the level of truth that you have come to understand.

For instance, there might be some who are entering that narrow gate who have never heard about the need for us to keep the Sabbath or have never heard His true name. So before I scare some of you off, I want you to understand-- I am not judging any individual's salvation. But we are going to look at the Scriptures on this topic.

We are going to examine them because it would be a horrific thing for Him to say to us on that final day, "I don't know who you are. Who are you?" Wouldn't that be a horrific thing for Him to say that to us on that final day? Absolutely! It would be a horrifying thought.

And so, we want to understand what that narrow gate is, and we need to realize that one of the reasons that people have difficulty in entering the narrow gate is because of deception. Deception!

Now deception makes its debut in Genesis chapter 3. It didn't take long, did it?

Genesis 3:1 - Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which YAHWEH Elohim had made. And he said to the woman, "Has Elohim indeed said, `You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?"

Right away, he is creating doubt in the mind of the woman.

Genesis 3:2 - And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden;

3 - "but of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, Elohim has said, `You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'"

Here comes the lie:

Genesis 3:4 - Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die.

5 - "For Elohim knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like Elohim, knowing good and evil."

6 - So when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make [one] wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

He was sitting right there watching the whole thing.

So they both partook of this tree. Actually, if you look in other places, you will find that Adam was not deceived. Adam knew full well what he was getting himself into, but he, for whatever reason, chose to partake of it as well.

And so, deception is one major reason that people do not enter the narrow gate. They are deceived by the enemy. They are deceived by men who are being used by the enemy.

And later, we see the woman said:

Genesis 3:13 - And YAHWEH Elohim said to the woman, "What [is] this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

And so, in light of this deception entering very early in the human history (3rd chapter of Genesis), is it really any surprise to us that in our later generations today that deception would be very common?

We are told in 1 Peter 5:8:

And we know that only eight persons were saved when Noah entered the ark. Eight persons! One family!

And we know that Yahushua said:

Matthew 24:37 - "But as the days of Noah [were], so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

38 - "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,

39 - "and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

How many were saved? Eight! Out of the entire earth-- eight!

Yahushua's coming will be a shock to the world because the world will be deceived. But what is this deception really all about? What is it that people are deceived into doing that caused them to be in the broad path that leads to destruction?

Before I go into what that is, I want to share something very important that Yahushua said:

John 9:39 - And Yahushua said, "For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind."

40 - Then [some] of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, "Are we blind also?"

41 - Yahushua said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, `We see.' Therefore your sin remains.

Whoa! That is a huge, huge statement. "If you were blind, you would have no sin. But since you act like, 'Oh, I can see. Come to me. Come to me. I see. I am a seeing one!' therefore your sin remains." That is a serious statement.

We have to be humble, don't we? We all, including myself, are subject to the possibility of being deceived.

The only way that we can be assured that we are not deceived is if our beliefs and understandings are Scripture-- the Word of Yahweh-- and if it would be that we have a blindness, and yet, we don't claim to be the all seeing ones as the denominations do today.

You see, the scribes and Pharisees were the denominations of the first century. There are also denominations in the 21st century and have been. And most of them, or a lot of them, say, "Come to us. We see."

Therefore, if they have blindness in them, their sin will remain because Yahweh will judge them according to the words out of their own mouth, according to what they claimed to be: the seeing ones.

And they, many times, will judge others who have a different understanding of Scripture, and say, "You cannot be saved until you have our knowledge, our level of understanding, and then, and only then, will you be among those who are saved."

And by that they judge other denominations, people of different understandings, as having no salvation because they are not a part of their little denomination. And so, with what judgment they judge, they will be judged. Just like Yahushua said. With what the measure you use, you will be measured.

And so, since they judge that salvation doesn't come until you have the perfect knowledge like they do, then Yahweh will judge them by that proclamation. As the Pharisees said, "We see," so do the denominations of the earth today say, "We see. Come to us."

That is the danger of denominationalism because we will be fully accountable for our own sin if we claim, "We've got it. We are the seeing ones."

I come to you today as a man who has learned a few things. I am not going to start a denomination. I am not going to claim you have to have my understanding to be saved. I am not even going to claim that I don't have any blind spots.

And the reality is you won't find a teacher, a man on the face of the earth, who is completely without any blind spots because we are all a work in progress. So check everything I say with the Word. Check everything I say with the Scriptures. And that is the reason I use so much of it. Yahushua said in John 15:22:

John 15:22 - "If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.

That is interesting. So there is a certain amount of accountability that comes when we are spoken to by the Word. And when we understand it and we are not blinded, we are then accountable. We are then very, very accountable.

And so, we have to be very careful with the things that we hear, that we are truly seeking to walk out what we hear.

Yahushua said in a different place:

Luke 12:47 - "And that servant who knew his master's will, and did not prepare [himself] or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes].

48 - "But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

See? One did know. He knew his master's will. He knew it. So even though he knew his masters will, he did not do what? He did not prepare. He did not prepare himself. The word "himself" is in italics. That means it is added by a translator. So we have to prepare.

Prepare for what? Let's go done a little further here. It says, "But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes..." So there are some who don't know any better. They are committing sins that are deserving of stripes, but they will be beaten with just a few. A few.

So what I am reading here is that there are different levels of judgment from Yahweh based on what we know and what we do with what we know. He gives a reason for this. He says, "Everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required." I am persuaded, my brothers, that most of us, much has been given. And for most of us, much will be required.

And we have been committed many things. Much has been committed to us. And so, Yahweh expects more of us. I am not saying we have arrived or that we are better than anybody else, but with that knowledge that we have been given, we have a lot to answer for.

So there was one who knew and one who did not know. But the common denominator of both was they did not prepare themselves. So if we prepare ourselves-- that is to make ourselves ready to meet the King.

I shared a couple of weeks ago on the need to watch, the need to be ready, for the trumpet call and that we don't be like here-- not preparing ourselves and going off and getting caught up in worldly things and getting caught up in the cares of this life.

We have to be those who are preparing themselves. That is the most important thing from what I am reading here. If we prepared ourselves, made ourselves ready to meet the King, we may have areas of things we don't know about, but because we sought to know, because we sought to prepare ourselves, if we are blind, we have no sin, as long as we're humble.

I dare say, every human being on the face of the earth has some kind of blindness somewhere, whether it be a misunderstanding of our Father's will either in a specific circumstance or in a Scripture or some area of disobedience in their own heart they are blind to.

It is one thing to know the Father's will. It is another thing to realize, "Oh, I am not applying that in this area. I haven't been applying it in that area over there. I didn't realize that before. I didn't see that before."

So what is the key? The key is that we prepare ourselves and be ready for that last trumpet to sound. And if that is our mindset, then we will be among the few that find it-- the little flock.

Yahushua said:

Luke 12:32 - "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

33 - "Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.

34 - "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Luke 12:35 - "Let your waist be girded and [your] lamps burning;

36 - "and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately.

37 - "Blessed [are] those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down [to eat], and will come and serve them.

Serve them. That is an interesting thing. Messiah will come and serve? You mean, He will be a Servant in the age to come, also? Yes!

You see, maybe some of us have the mentality that, "Okay, we serve on this earth today. Then when we get to the Kingdom we kind of sit back and relax and kick back and everything is great. We don't have to do any more serving. Wrong!

You see, Kingdom life is all about serving. That is what Kingdom life is. Our heavenly Father serves us every waking moment of every day-- providing the food we eat, the air we breathe. Everything. We ask Him to do things for us everyday: "Will You do this for me?" He is such a willing Servant.

The age to come will be all about serving. We will be served by the King, and we will serve the King. That is love manifested, truly.

So, blessed are those servants whom the Master, when He comes, will find watching. We are looking for Him. We are not getting caught up in worldly pursuits. We are looking for Him.

"I say to you that He will gird Himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them." What an awesome thing!

Luke 12:38 - "And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find [them] so, blessed are those servants.

39 - "But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

40 - "Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."

He is speaking to the generation that will be present when the Messiah returns. And so, that is us, hopefully. I would like to think it might be us. But if it is not us, who is to say you won't have a blood clot in your brain and you die just like that. You don't know. That is like Messiah returning to you.

Are we ready? Are we watching at all times? Yahweh help us to be that focused and to be the ones who are watching. And I shared this, again, a few weeks ago in detail. Are we ready for that last trumpet?

And so, what does this tell us about deceptions? What are the characteristics of deceptions? We know that there is deceitfulness in riches. Those who have the seed of Yahweh's Words sown in their hearts, there are going to be some whose hearts are full of thorns.

Mark 4:18 - "Now these are the ones sown among thorns; [they are] the ones who hear the word,

19 - "and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

See, they are not watching, are they? They have a desire for other things besides what? Besides the Word.

"The deceitfulness of riches." So we know there is deceitfulness there. That is just a study by itself. But we see how this is connected together with the verse earlier (Luke 12:33) where Yahushua said, "Sell what you have and give alms, little flock; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail."

You know, we need to be aware of this because we live in a very wealthy nation, maybe the most wealthy nation that has ever graced the face of the earth here in the United States of America. We have nearly every imaginable convenience, every imaginable food and texture and taste and comfort.

We are in a cushy, cushy lifestyle, even the poor among us in many cases. Compared to some countries, our poor is their rich.

And so, we are told that we must strive to enter through that narrow gate. Many will seek to enter and not be able.

Luke 13:24 - "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

25 - "When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, `Master, Master, open for us,' and He will answer and say to you, `I do not know you, where you are from,'

Luke 13:26 - "then you will begin to say, `We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.'

27 - "But He will say, `I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.'

Now we are going to concentrate on this one word here (iniquity) because this is obviously the dividing point-- those who are workers of iniquity.

Looking this word up in the Thayer's Lexicon, we see it is adikia {ad-ee-kee'-ah}. Meaning: 1) injustice, of a judge 2) unrighteousness of heart and life 3) a deed violating law and justice, an act of unrighteousness.

We see it is translated "unrighteousness" 16 times, "iniquity" 6 times, "unjust" twice and "wrong" once in the King James Version.

The Strong's Lexicon has: legal injustice (properly, the quality, by implication, the act); morally, wrongfulness (of character, life or act):-- iniquity, unjust, unrighteousness, wrong.

It is translated, as you see, the same thing: iniquity, unjust, unrighteousness, wrong. By the way, the Strong's definition, every time you see two dashes (:--), these are not necessarily definitions. This is how the word was translated in the King James.

Now examining the usages of this word, and looking for examples in Scripture of where men were specifically guilty of "adikia," we find at least two instances of "adikia," and do you know what? Riches were involved in both cases.

Our first example would be the example of Judas.

Acts 1:16 - "Men [and] brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Yahushua;

17 - "for he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry."

18 - (Now this man purchased a field with the wages of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out.

This word here translated "iniquity" is "adikia." This is what Judas was guilty of. This is when he hanged himself. I guess he hung there awhile and eventually the body fell down. So that is what happened to him.

And Judas had a real problem with the love of money. When Yahushua was anointed by Mary with very expensive oil, it says here:

John 12:4 - Then one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's [son], who would betray Him, said,

5 - "Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?"

That is three hundred days' wages. That is almost a year.

John 12:6 - This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it.

That is interesting. Certainly Yahushua would have known about that. But He allowed him his way.

You see, betrayers of Messiah who claim to be believers, but given the choice to be a believer or embrace this world's stuff, ultimately deny Him. It is unjust. It is a lack of justice because loyalty and reverence belong to the King.

And if He is your King and you have chosen another king (in this case money, which is really self who is on the throne), to betray Him in that way is to reject Him and choose another king. Another elohim has been selected to worship.

A similar situation occurs a little bit later in the book of Acts chapter 8, verse 9. We see there was a certain man called Simon, ironically.

Acts 8:9 - But there was a certain man called Simon, who previously practiced sorcery in the city and astonished the people of Samaria, claiming that he was someone great,

10 - to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, "This man is the great power of Elohim."

11 - And they heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time.

Acts 8:14 - Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of Elohim, they sent Peter and John to them,

15 - who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit.

16 - For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Master Yahushua.

Acts 8:17 - Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

18 - And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,

This is the sorcerer.

Acts 8:19 - saying, "Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit."

20 - But Peter said to him, "Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of Elohim could be purchased with money!

21 - "You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of Elohim.

Acts 8:22 - "Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray Elohim if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

23 - "For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity."

Adikia. Iniquity.

Why was Simon bitter? Is there any evidence that he was bitter about anything? See, it was something that Kepha (Peter) perceived. He saw it. Simon was bitter because he lost his prestige among the people when it was revealed that the power that we have in Messiah is the true power of Elohim.

Simon wanted that. He wanted that. He wanted it so much that he was willing to buy it. And he was bitter now that all these other people were coming along, and they are the ones getting the attention.

Isn't this the same thing that was going on with the scribes and the Pharisees being jealous and knowing that Messiah is getting all the crowds and attention? They were embittered by that, and they wanted that power, but they were too proud to ask Him for it. And so, they were too proud to humble themselves and be His disciples.

But here we see Simon's heart was not loyal to the Messiah. It was loyal to men. He was prideful. He wanted that power. He wanted men to honor him like they used to.

And so, the grand deception has to do with placing man or self ahead of Elohim. Self can be placed ahead of Elohim sometimes through the love of riches. You want to do the things that you want to do with those riches. You want to serve yourself.

And then you want to serve yourself in another way, perhaps, through getting the glory of men and putting man ahead of Elohim. So the grand deception. Those are some elements of it. Those are some of the "working of iniquity." Those are some specific examples of where iniquity had a man bound.

Both Judas and Simon were workers of iniquity. Now we don't know if Simon ever repented. But, you know, there is more about this grand deception that causes the way to be so narrow. There is more. We are going to get into this.

But I want to mention that there are a large number of people that if you were to tell them about, for instance, we should observe the Sabbath or we should call upon the name of Yahweh, something that would make them feel a little uncomfortable in the society that they are in, they will take the path of Simon, the path of comfort.

They will take a different path. They will choose the fear of men. And in the back of their mind they will say, "Well, if I do this, I will be the laughing stock of my family. I will be mocked by men. I don't want to be uncomfortable. I kind of like where I am at."

Now they may not say that to you, but sometimes it can be a factor in whether or not they really hear what you have to say.

I am not saying that everyone who doesn't see what we see are necessarily rejecting it because they fear man. I am saying that there is going to be a percentage of people who will reject it based on that reason down deep in their hearts. So that is part of one who would work iniquity.

Another area of deception-- it has been a mystery for generations, for eons-- we can find today and has been with us since the Garden of Eden. In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, verse 7, it talks about the mystery of lawlessness.

2Thessalonians 2:7 - For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains [will do so] until He is taken out of the way.

8 - And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Master will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

9 - The coming of the [lawless one] is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

Lying wonders.

What is this word "lawlessness"? "Mystery of lawlessness" and "lawless one." What is this all about?

If you were to trace this back to Thayer's Lexicon, it says: 458 anomia {an-om-ee'-ah}. If you have been a listener of the broadcast, you will be familiar with this word already, if you are a regular listener.

But it says here in the Thayer's Lexicon: Meaning: 1) the condition of without law 1a) because ignorant of it 1b) because of violating it 2) contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness.

And this word, they are sort of benign words they use to translate it, undescriptive: iniquity; unrighteousness. Except one place (1 John 3:4). The King James does have "transgress the law," but the rest of the time it is just sort of these kind of vanilla words here, not very descriptive.

Usage: AV - iniquity 12, unrighteousness 1, transgress the law + 4600 1, transgression of the law 1; 15.

But you look at the same word in the Strong's Lexicon and it has: lawless, i.e. (negatively) not subject to (the Jewish) law; (by implication, a Gentile), or (positively) wicked. Here is how it is translated: without law, lawless, transgressor, unlawful, wicked.

I am sorry. I actually posted the wrong word. That is "anomos." "Anomia" is the word I meant to post. But as you can see, here, this one word (458) is from 459 (anomos). So it is rooted in this 459.

Anomos and anomia basically have the same definition because "nomos" is the Greek word for "law," (translated law), referring to the Law of Moses, referring to Yahweh's Law (the Torah).

And then the "a" in the beginning, as you can see, here, is from number 1 (as a negative particle) and 3551, which is "nomos" (law). And so, we have anomia ("nomia" coming from "law") and the "a" in front of it giving us the negative particle.

And so, looking back, here (2 Thessalonians 2:7-9), the mystery of lawlessness-- the mystery of "the violation of the Jewish law "or "the violation of the law"-- is already at work in Paul's day. It was already at work. "Only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way."

See, He is being restrained right now, but one day He will be taken out of the way. "And then the lawless one will be revealed." And this is the enemy-- Satan himself, the beast, false prophet, however you want to say it. The anti-Messiah.

It goes on to say:

2Thessalonians 2:9 - The coming of the [lawless one] is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

10 - and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Unrighteous deception. That is adikia. We see that adikia is connected to deception. And what is the actual deception? The deception is the violation of Yahweh's Law. So this is unrighteous. This deception is unrighteous.

But the deception itself is: "We can break Yahweh's Word and just do what we want. Everything will be alright." Pretty much the same thing as Genesis 3:1 where the enemy came in and said, "You shall not surely die. Did Elohim really say that?" It is the same deception today.

The teaching that we can violate the Law of Yahweh, either by suggesting that, "Oh, did Elohim really say that? He didn't say that to you. He is talking to the Jews." "Did Elohim really say that?" It is either by that, or another thing would be, "Oh, if you did violate it, you will not surely die." "You will not surely die." So it is a strong delusion.

It is a deception among those who perish because... Oh, wait a minute. This tells us why they were deceived. You see, Yahweh is not going to be impartial. He tells us why they were deceived. And the reason why they were deceived is simply this: "They did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved."

Wow! We have to receive a love for the truth. If we don't have a love for the truth, then we are going to be subject to deception. Unrighteous deception. Unjust deception. And the deception is Torahlessness. For this reason Elohim will send them something. This comes from Elohim.

2Thessalonians 2:11 - And for this reason Elohim will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

A strong delusion. For what reason? "Because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved." That is why.

Now bear with me here. If you are not on board with the Sabbath and different things, bear with me. I am not condemning you. Just pay attention. I am not judging you. This is truth. This is from the Word. "For this reason Elohim will send them strong delusion."

Now if the strong delusion comes from Elohim in allowing men to be deceived, surely it is going to be something that just blinds the hearts so "that they should believe the lie." What lie? "You shall not surely die. Hath Elohim said?" The same lie that was in the Garden of Eden.

You see, the idea that the Torah is abolished is nothing more than, "Hath Elohim said?" And the idea that you can break the Torah and be free from any judgment is, "You shall not surely die." That is the lie.

I have taken you back to lawlessness, the mystery of lawlessness-- the mystery. It is a mystery. It is a deception. Not many people know about the mystery of lawlessness. That word "lawlessness" comes from "anomia"-- the violation of the law. The violation of Torah. And so, they will believe this lie. Why? Because they do not have a love for the truth.

Now if you have a love for the truth, I am not saying you are judged. But you have to love the truth. And it says they will believe this lie. They have this strong delusion, so they are believing this lie.

2Thessalonians 2:12 - that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

If you do not love the truth, you are not going to believe the truth-- "but had pleasure in unrighteousness." That is adikia.

Now, brothers and sisters, a lot of times, as I have been saying, the reason why people don't accept what we are saying about Torah is because of adikia, desire for the praise of men-- the Simon the sorcerer mentality, where the desire for the praise of men is present.

Or, "That's too hard. I would rather focus on this world and the deceitfulness of riches and the cares of this life. My life is wrapped up in this world. Why would I want to do things like Sabbath and Festivals and look like a goon in the eyes of many and start calling on Hebrew names and stuff?"

That is really what is going on through the minds of some whom you might be sharing this with. Not all. That is what we are looking at right here in Thessalonians-- the deceitfulness of unrighteousness, that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

We shouldn't have any pleasure in adikia. We should have a sincere love for the truth. If we have pleasure for adikia, then we will be among those who are deceived because that is where the deception comes out of. That is the heart condition that makes a person ripe for that deception.

And so, we see that unrighteousness itself (adikia) is the core of deception. So is truth vs. lies. And so, in order for us to not be deceived, we have to DESIRE and PURSUE and LOVE truth and righteousness.

And our repentance as believers in Messiah will produce a pursuit of the truth, not a focus on man, not a focus on what men say. Our focus will be on Yahweh and what HE says, no matter what anybody else thinks.

To focus on what man says is an injustice. It is an adikia toward Yahweh, a disloyalty to Him. Our loyalty must be to the King. What He says is what matters.

The form of government that we are partakers in is not a democracy with Presidents and Senate people. No! It is not the republics of this world. It is a monarchy that we are a part of.

Yahushua has absolute power in our minds. To set man or money-- or even ourselves-- in the position of king is to betray Him like Judas did and like Simon did: seeking the praises of men... seeking self-gratification... rather than pursuing truth because we just love the truth.

And so, if we are in pursuit of the truth and we have a love for the truth, then we are going to say, like Yahushua, who asked us to be sanctified by it, that we would be among those who are sanctified by the Word of Elohim.

This is His prayer for us. He said to His Father in heaven:

John 17:17 - "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

There was no New Testament, yet. When He said this prayer, there wasn't a New Testament. What was the word He was referring to? It was the Law and the Prophets and the Psalms, the Writings. So here we find a trustworthy saying: His Word is truth.

Isaiah 55:10 - "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,

11 - So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper [in the thing] for which I sent it.

So His Word is not void, is it? And so, we have a love for the truth. We believe in the truth, and the truth is His Word. And when His Word comes to us, it prospers. It prospers in the thing for which He sent it. It doesn't return to Him void. And so, we need to be lovers of the truth and not care what anybody thinks, says or does.

And so, the very definition of sin, the very defining point of what sin is, we can understand if we are not deceived. The very defining point of what sin is, is violation of Yahweh's Law. Scripture says:

1John 5:16 - If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin [which does] not [lead] to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not [leading] to death. There is sin [leading] to death. I do not say that he should pray about that.

Well, what is a sin leading to death? Those who are pursuing those things which make it impossible for them to receive the truth and instead they are pursuing the praises of men, the glories of this age. They can't do anything about it. They don't have a heart that Yahweh can work with. It is too full of thorns.

1John 5:17 - All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not [leading] to death.

Now this word for "unrighteousness" is "adikia." That is what that word is rooted in. That is sin, and so, the misplaced priorities where Yahweh is not on the throne as King is sin. And also, 1 John 3:4:

1John 3:4 - Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

That is anomia. That is violation of the Law. Sin is the transgression of the Law. That is what it is. Sin is anomia. Now how could any believer say that Yahweh's Law has been abolished and does not have to be obeyed, it is optional now?

It is from His Law that we determine what sin is, and such a person would actually be teaching that it doesn't really matter if we sin against Yahweh: "You will not surely die." In fact, it is the Law that tells us what sin is.

Romans 7:7 - What shall we say then? [Is] the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."

He gives an example. Some people are going to say, "Oh, it is the Ten Commandments that is sin. The rest is not really sin. Just the Ten Commandment law is what it is always talking about."

Well, if that is true, then the gay pride parades going through the cities of the United States is quite all right in the eyes of Yahweh because, hey, only the Ten Commandments have to be obeyed, right? Gay marriage? Go ahead. Let them get married. After all, it is not sin, unless you violate the Ten Commandments.

The Ten Commandments doesn't speak about homosexuality. So it is impossible to say, "Oh, it is only the Ten Commandments." It is more than that. It is the Law-- the fullness of Yahweh's Law.

If we violate those commandments in the Law, then we are committing sin. That is the very definition of it. But you see, sin is very deceptive. And our hearts can be hardened (it says, here, in Hebrews 3:13) through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 3:13 - but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

From the beginning, the adversary has sought various ways to trick men into being disobedient. There is nothing new under the sun. He can either undermine Yahweh's Word and get you to follow his words instead or he can tempt men to sin even if they know it is wrong and get them in their weak points.

What better way to undermine Yahweh's Word than to say, "Oh, that word which Yahweh spoke has no effect anymore. It has been abolished." Don't you smell a rat? Every false doctrine has one thing in common-- that is, setting aside the Word of Yahweh.

I have had so, so many people come to me and tell me, "The Scriptures are not reliable, EliYah." So they will try to persuade and convince me. Now, if they were successful in persuading others of such a thing, if they were successful in persuading me of this, what do you think the next step is?

I promise you, it is inevitable, the very next step is going to be, "Listen to me instead," because the void is left. If you don't trust the Word, whom do you trust? "Oh, come to me. I will tell you." That is where it always ends up. Every single time.

That is the sign of a deceiver, one who is under the influence of demonic power, who will steer you away from the Scriptures-- the inspired words of Elohim-- to get you to follow their words instead. That is what the enemy did in the Garden of Eden. He steered Eve away: "Has Elohim said? You will not surely die. Follow my words instead."

Don't listen to them. We have to have a strong love for the Scriptures, the words of Yahweh. That is where the truth is-- from Genesis to Revelation. How can we say that we even love Yahushua unless we also have a love for the Word because He is the Word?

John 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Now He is not just the Word in the New Testament. He is the Word in the Old Testament. We have to seek and love the WHOLE Word-- seeking to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of Yahweh-- not just New Testament and not just Old Testament. It is ALL Yahweh's Word.

As Yahushua said:

Matthew 13:52 - Then He said to them, "Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure [things] new and old."

And if it is Scripture, then it is Yahweh's Word. It needs to be heeded by us.

2Timothy 3:16 - All Scripture [is] given by inspiration of Elohim, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

17 - that the man of Elohim may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Are we equipped? Are we equipped with the words of Elohim? Is that our equipment that we are wearing? There was no New Testament when this was written, either. Although, there may have been some inspired texts. But we see that all Scripture is profitable for instruction in righteousness and correction.

It is when a deceived person says, "Well, that part of the Bible is not profitable for instruction anymore. You can't correct me with that part of the Bible anymore. That part of the Bible has been abolished and done away with. That is the OLD Testament."

See? Then they don't really believe all Scripture is profitable for correction. They don't believe it-- just Paul's letters (which Paul's letters also tell them and point them back to Torah).

And so, Yahushua said:

Matthew 7:13 - "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide [is] the gate and broad [is] the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

Many. Many go in by it. Remember this word here for a minute, will you please? Many. Many go in by it.

Matthew 7:14 - "Because narrow [is] the gate and difficult [is] the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

And so, who are the few? We don't want to be the many. We want to be the few. All we have to do is look at context. We see many other Scriptures:

Matthew 9:37 - Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly [is] plentiful, but the laborers [are] few.

Just a few. Few who are willing to labor.

Matthew 20:16 - "So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen."

This is scary stuff. Scary stuff.

Romans 9:27 - Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, The remnant will be saved.

Just a remnant. Yes, Abraham had many descendants, but only the remnant will be saved.

Romans 9:28 - For He will finish the work and cut [it] short in righteousness, Because YAHWEH will make a short work upon the earth."

29 - And as Isaiah said before: "Unless YAHWEH of Sabaoth had left us a seed, We would have become like Sodom, And we would have been made like Gomorrah."

He is quoting here from Isaiah 1:9:

Isaiah 1:9 - Unless YAHWEH of hosts Had left to us a very small remnant, We would have become like Sodom, We would have been made like Gomorrah.

It has always been since the beginning of time, brothers, a remnant. How can we be sure that we are among the remnant?

You know, I don't believe for a minute that the remnant is just those who understand and observe Sabbath, or just those who call upon the right names, or just those who reject the pagan holidays, or just those who keep the Feast Days and the clean and unclean.

I don't believe that that is a sure sign that you are Yahweh's remnant. I don't believe that is a sure sign if you reject those things that you are not Yahweh's remnant. What is the sign of whether we are truly His remnant?

You know, as I have said many times on this broadcast, it is very possible for a person who, having absolutely no Bible knowledge whatsoever, comes across a Bible, starts reading it, sees that he has been a sinner and gets on his face and repents and cries out to "the Lord," to "God," to "Jesus," and receives "Jesus."

The only reason he is saying "Lord," "God," and "Jesus," is because that is what his Bible says in there. But his heart is that he receives the message of the Messiah who came and died for his sins. His heart is now turned toward doing the Father's will, and he cries out in tears of repentance wanting a change, wanting cleansing, through the Messiah.

Yahweh is not up in heaven saying, "Well, you haven't kept My Sabbath, yet. Maybe next week." Yahweh is not in heaven saying, "You didn't say the magic word. Say the vocalization correctly and you will be saved."

He is not a magician. He is not in heaven saying, "Well, I have other people I am more interested in right now. That Torah observant guy with the tassels hanging off his shirt-- I will save him instead." No! No! A thousand times, no!

Yahweh is looking at the hearts of all men. He requires one thing-- that we seek to do justly, that we seek to love mercy and that we seek to walk humbly with Him. That is what He is after, right there. And He will accept you right where you are at.

You don't have to be like me. You don't have to be like anyone except the Messiah. That is what He is asking.

So by this I say, that same person, if he goes to his local First Church of the whatever and he is real impressed by the pastor's knowledge of the Bible and he sets that Bible on his shelf and sits back and says, "All right, this guy knows the Bible; I will just listen to him"-- look out! He left his first love on the shelf: The Word of Elohim.

He left his relationship with the heavenly Father on the shelf, and now he is following man. Now he is following a man, who may or may not be a real follower of the Almighty.

Ah, but what if he continued that love for the truth and he listened to what the man said, but he compared it with the Word? Maybe he hadn't heard about Sabbath observance (except it being talked negatively about by his friends), so he never really became convicted of it, and you come along and you say, "What about this?"

It may take him a time or two to get the fog out of his eyes, but he may receive it as Yahweh leads. Or maybe the guy is still dealing with some things. Maybe he has some pornography problems or maybe he is violent or angry, or whatever, and Yahweh is working on that first, that weakness first, and then He will show him His name.

We have to respect eachother's relationship with the Father. And I really believe Yahweh has maybe a few in one church, a few in another, a few here, a few in that congregation, maybe none in another, maybe ten (I don't know how many) in another. But it is always a few in each group-- or less.

But relatively few among those who truly claim to follow Him, there are a few who really have the heart condition I am describing to you-- the watchful eyes, to put Yahweh first mentality. I am telling you, it is fewer than we realize. We can all look like it, but the bottom line is this:

2Timothy 2:19 - Nevertheless the solid foundation of Elohim stands, having this seal: "YAHWEH knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Messiah depart from iniquity."

Let everyone who names the name of Messiah depart from what? Adikia. Look out! That is the root of deception.

That is the solid foundation of Elohim: Yahweh knows them who are His, and let everyone who names the name of Messiah depart from that adikia.

So, few find it, brothers. If we have to find it, then that means we are going to have to desire it and then seek it. We shouldn't be complacent in sitting back and doing nothing. We should be seeking the truth in His Word on a regular basis as a pursuit of our life-- a lifetime pursuit through which we have chosen as our profession.

I don't mean to get paid for it, but it is the main point of our life-- to seek and do our Father's will because we love His will. We love the truth. And we will do this because we do not want to be deceived by the deceitfulness of sin. If we are on the path everybody else is on, you can't be on the path a few find, can you?

So why should we be surprised that so many people are deceived?

Revelation 12:9 - So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The whole world is deceived. So Yahushua says, "Enter the narrow gate."

Matthew 7:13 - "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide [is] the gate and broad [is] the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

14 - "Because narrow [is] the gate and difficult [is] the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

15 - "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

They look like the sheep on the outside, but they are wolves on the inside. Their heart is not yielded to the Father. And He says:

Matthew 7:16 - "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?

Look for the thorns. The thorns are what you are looking for. Thorns and thistles. Thorns and thistles are the sins in men's hearts. The thorns and thistles are, you know, when the seed fell among thorns... the deceitfulness of riches... the cares of this life... and the desire for other things.

Matthew 7:17 - "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

18 - "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor [can] a bad tree bear good fruit.

Matthew 7:19 - "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

20 - "Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

You can't bear any fruit from thornbushes and thistles.

Now I want to remind you, first of all, this word "anomia" we talked about earlier-- the condition without law, the transgression of the law, the violation of the law, rooted in "anomos," not being subject to the Jewish law. Remember that word for a minute, as I read this:

John 15:4 - "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

Bearing fruit for the Messiah.

John 15:5 - "I am the vine, you [are] the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

6 - "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw [them] into the fire, and they are burned.

So He is talking about the difference between the righteous and the wicked-- the difference between both. We need to understand, we have to abide in Messiah in order to be the good fruit. He is the one who makes us righteous. He is the one who is also our example. He was the one who never committed transgression of the Law. He never committed anomia.

He never committed iniquity.

He committed no transgression of the Law. Not ever one time did He ever transgress the Law of Yahweh.

And so, He is telling us:

Matthew 7:18 - "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor [can] a bad tree bear good fruit.

You have to abide in the Messiah. You have to seek to live that sinless life as He lived.

Matthew 7:19 - "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

20 - "Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Then He goes on to say:

Matthew 7:21 - "Not everyone who says to Me, `Master, Master,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

That is the bottom line. Are we doing the will of Yahweh? Because... remember what we said earlier? Many go in the broad road of destruction.

Matthew 7:22 - "Many will say to Me in that day, `Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'

They are calling Yahushua their Master. They believed they spoke the words of Elohim. They believed they cast demons out. They believed they did many wonders in His name. How could He possibly not be with them? They had the gifts of the Spirit. Ah! But they did not have the fruits of the Spirit.

They were not bearing the fruits of the Spirit, which was obedience, doing the will of our Father in heaven.

Matthew 7:23 - "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

And this word that is translated "lawlessness" is none other than "anomia" (violation of the law). Could it get any clearer than this?

If we claim to know the Messiah, we claim He is our Savior, we claim He is our Master-- well, if we say that we know Him and we don't keep His commandments, we are a liar, and the truth is not in us.

1John 2:4 - He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

He will say, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who work violation of the Torah (of the law)."

So we don't want to be in this condition of being lawless, whether ignorant of it or because of violating it. We don't want to be in contempt in violation of the Law. We don't want to be among those who are not subject to the Jewish law, as it says here in this definition (Strong's Lexicon, 459 anomos).

We are not Gentiles. We are Israel. We are the remnant. That is our desire-- to be the remnant.

And that mystery of anomia was already at work in Paul's day. But one day it will be revealed. It will be revealed. And all that unrighteous deception among those who perish, all those that receive the strong delusion-- they thought for sure since they were doing all those miracles that they were His.

It is not the gifts of the Spirit or the miracles you do.

You know, in Catholicism, they will not give someone sainthood unless there is physical proof a miracle occurred through praying to that dead saint... if it was cancer and the X-rays showed it disappeared, or whatever. It is not the miracles.

So how do we know?

Psalms 119:104 - Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way.

The precepts of Yahweh will instruct in the way that is truth.

Psalms 111:10 - The fear of YAHWEH [is] the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do [His commandments]. His praise endures forever.

A good understanding have all those who DO His commandments.

So those who are willing to walk in the Messiah's steps, those who are willing to say, "I want to do the will of my Father in heaven," it is those who are willing to say, "Let Yahushua flow through me. He is my example. If I abide in Him and He abides in me, I am going to live like He lived."

And we know He kept every one of Yahweh's commands in the Torah. And so, as the Word says:

Jeremiah 6:16 - Thus says YAHWEH: "Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way [is], And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, `We will not walk [in it].'

Ask for the old paths. Ask for them: "Yahweh, grant me the old paths." Let's not be among those who say, "We will not walk in it." Let's be those who listen to the sound of the trumpet, because He said:

Jeremiah 6:17 - Also, I set watchmen over you, [saying], `Listen to the sound of the trumpet!' But they said, `We will not listen.'

18 - Therefore hear, you nations, And know, O congregation, what [is] among them.

Nations or Gentiles.

Jeremiah 6:19 - Hear, O earth! Behold, I will certainly bring calamity on this people -- The fruit of their thoughts, Because they have not heeded My words, Nor My law, but rejected it.

That is the sound of the trumpet. They wouldn't listen to the sound of the trumpet.

Psalms 14:2 - YAHWEH looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek Elohim.

3 - They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; [There is] none who does good, No, not one.

4 - Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people [as] they eat bread, And do not call on YAHWEH?

See, the workers of iniquity are going to seek to destroy us. They are going to seek to minimize us. They are going to seek to mock us.

And they don't have knowledge. The reason they don't have knowledge is because they have rejected knowledge.

Hosea 4:6 - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your Elohim, I also will forget your children.

Lack of knowledge. Oh, a lot of people quote this: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." A lot of people quote this verse. Why are they lacking knowledge? Why? Because they have forgotten the Law. That is why.

And so, they will not be kings and priests reigning with Messiah for a thousand years. They don't want the Law. They don't want Yahweh's Word.

So what we want, brothers, is to call upon Yahweh. That is another thing they don't do. They do not call upon Yahweh. Are we going to call upon Yahweh? That is an important question.

Joel 2:31 - The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of YAHWEH.

Look for that.

Joel 2:32 - And it shall come to pass [That] whoever calls on the name of YAHWEH Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As YAHWEH has said, Among the remnant whom YAHWEH calls.

The remnant. This is a picture of the remnant. They are calling upon the name of Yahweh. We want to be the remnant, don't we? We want to be the ones who are going through the narrow gate that few find. Few take that narrow gate of putting Yahweh first in their hearts.

Most will choose the fear of man. Most will choose the things and desires and pleasures of this age, even those who claim to be believers. They have not yet yielded their hearts completely to the will of our Father in heaven.

They can say all the right names and do all the right things on the surface, but in their heart they have not just completely surrendered to the will of our Father. Let's not be like that. Let's seek to be the remnant.

And so, brothers and sisters, men and women, children, fathers, mothers, pastors, teachers, elders, lovers of truth, it is high time that we set aside the things that hold us back, and let's seek Yahweh while He may be found.

Isaiah 55:6 - Seek YAHWEH while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.

7 - Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to YAHWEH, And He will have mercy on him; And to our Elohim, For He will abundantly pardon.

8 - "For My thoughts [are] not your thoughts, Nor [are] your ways My ways," says YAHWEH.

Isaiah 55:9 - "For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Oh, many quote this and say, "Well, His thoughts are higher than mine." Well, if we are heavenly focused, I would say our thoughts will be a lot closer to His thoughts than the day we first believed. I hope we are growing.

Unrighteous men, we need to forsake our thoughts and submit to Yahweh's thoughts and ways, and not let His Word return void, as we quoted earlier. As the rain comes down and the snow from heaven, let His thoughts take root in your heart.

It shall not return to Him void. He will not accept it. If that Word enters your heart and you let it return to Him void, He will not allow that. He wants it to accomplish what He pleases and prosper in the thing for which He sent it.

And so, contrary to popular belief, His Word, His Law, is not void.

Romans 3:31 - Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

We cause it to stand by our faith.

Isaiah 55, verse 12... continuing here:

Isaiah 55:12 - "For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap [their] hands.

13 - Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to YAHWEH for a name, For an everlasting sign [that] shall not be cut off."

See, no more thorns and briers in your hearts. Instead you will bear fruit. He will write His name on your foreheads. And so, it is time to sow ourselves to righteousness. If we repent and turn away from transgression of the Law, He will have mercy for those times that we have sinned, and Yahweh will rain upon us righteousness.

We continue here from Isaiah 55 to Isaiah 56.

Isaiah 56:1 - Thus says YAHWEH: "Keep justice, and do righteousness, For My salvation [is] about to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.

That is Messiah.

Isaiah 56:2 - Blessed [is] the man [who] does this, And the son of man [who] lays hold on it; Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil."

Hosea 10:12 - Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For [it is] time to seek YAHWEH, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.

13 - You have plowed wickedness; You have reaped iniquity. You have eaten the fruit of lies, Because you trusted in your own way, In the multitude of your mighty men.

You can't trust in the multitudes of mighty men, brothers. We have to seek to be the remnant of Yisrael. We have to seek the righteousness of Elohim through faith in Yahushua Messiah.

Romans 3:22 - even the righteousness of Elohim, through faith in Yahushua Messiah, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;

23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of Elohim,

24 - being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Messiah Yahushua,

And so, we need both. We need Torah to take root in our hearts, and we need Messiah to dwell there. And actually, it is all one and the same because He is the Word of Elohim made flesh that dwelt among us. And when He dwells in us, we will manifest that Word of Elohim on the exterior as well as the interior.

So, if we can humbly accept we have sinned, we need the mercy of Yahweh through Yahushua Messiah. Our righteousness does not come by our commandment keeping, but through faith in Messiah.

And even though we understand that He is the source of our righteousness, we seek to walk out the fruits of repentance, understanding that it is repentance from Torah breaking and faith in the Messiah Yahushua that brings us the remission of sins, as it says in Acts 2:38.

Acts 2:38 - Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Yahushua Messiah for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

And as Paul wrote defending himself in his letters. He wasn't just talking to the Jews of the first century. He was also talking to Gentiles Yahweh was doing a work through. Paul said:

Acts 26:19 - "Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,

20 - "but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and [then] to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to Elohim, and do works befitting repentance.

So, yes, brothers, I am talking a lot about repentance today. For while it is true that repentance apart from Messiah will get us nowhere, for us to say, "Master, Master," and yet not do the things He says, that won't get us anywhere either.

So what we need to do-- because we are walking out our repentance, because we are seeking His way-- we need to love the truth, His Word. Because we are walking out our repentance, we truly want to walk in righteousness by seeking to apply His Torah to our hearts, as the New Covenant promises.

And because we are walking out our repentance, we truly seek to know and to love Him; and because we are walking out repentance, we long to be among the overcomers; and because we are walking out our repentance, we are watching, we are listening, we are waiting earnestly for the sound of the trumpet.

And we are doing our Father's will to the best of our understanding, having prepared ourselves as wise virgins with lamps filled with oil-- and some extra, too. Eyes that are focused upward.

And because we walk out that kind of repentance, we can trust that we will, by the promises of our Elohim in heaven, hear these words one day: "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."

May it be so with us. May we be His repentant little flock that accepts the entire Bible from cover to cover as the words we seek to live by. May we be that little flock that is walking out the repentance and placing hope of salvation and cleansing through the Messiah Yahushua.

May we be that little flock, that few that find it, those who do the will of our Father in heaven, who are abiding in the vine, walking as Yahushua walked, that we might truly one day be where He is.

And brothers and sisters, as we seek to be that little flock, may Yahweh bless you, and may Yahweh truly have mercy on us all.
