He has His perspective. We have our perspective. And we can easily be influenced by the culture that we live in and the perspective that they have in regards to what's right and what's wrong, what's bad, what's good, what's awful and completely abominable and what isn't.
And so, we want to try to make sure that we are properly letting our minds be renewed by the Spirit of Yahweh. And that involves accepting the things which He says are just outright abominations and considering them as things to be outright abominations to us.
There are certain sins that Yahweh would say, "That's bad," but then there are certain sins that Yahweh specifically calls an abomination. And that's what we are going to talk about today, what the Scriptures say specifically are abominations.
Fifty years ago. Just take fifty years ago. The things which are on regular television today, if they were able to play these same kinds of programs on the airwaves in 1960's/1950's television, the things that are on the TV today would be considered an outright abomination.
There would probably be public revolt, violence and riots in the streets, criminal obscenity charges filed against the programmers--but not today. Today it's normal. Today it is accepted.
And so, it just seems to me that we need to realize, just in fifty years our own culture here, just sixty years ago, there was a television program where a man and his wife were part of the program and they were not allowed to be shown on television as being in the same bed. They had to be in two different beds when they were on TV. But not today.
Today it is a whole lot worse, obviously. I don't need to go into details. We see now, today, there is this thirst for more and more "shock TV," reality TV. To me, it's almost a joke that reality is entertaining now. We have been fed all this fantasy and all these lies so that now reality television is entertaining.
What has crept into our faith in just the last two thousand years that originally would have been outright shocking and abominable, but now, because most churches don't think it is a bad thing, it has kind of made its way into the faith and has been accepted and is not really considered to be an abomination or even necessarily evil?
So what is the original faith that was once delivered to the saints? What are the things that if Yahweh were to tell us what His perspective is, are outright abominations, because man's opinion is not going to count on the Day of Judgment?
Yahweh is not going to be consulting anybody. He is going to say to us, "This is what My Word has said. This is what I have told. These are the things I consider to be abominable. Here you are. You are participating in them, and yet, I consider them an abomination."
And so, while we don't want to sin at all, we want to be especially sure that we are not doing something that Yahweh calls detestable or an abomination. The word "abomination" in Hebrew has something to do with just utterly, utterly detestable and disgusting to Yahweh.
So, I am going to start off here with something that may be for some of you quite a shocker. I am going to start in Leviticus chapter 11. This is talking about fish.
Leviticus 11:10 - `But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which [is] in the water, they [are] an abomination to you.
They shall be an abomination to you. He repeats it twice.
Leviticus 11:11 - `They shall be an abomination to you; you shall not eat their flesh, but you shall regard their carcasses as an abomination.
Wow! So, we are talking about shellfish--things that don't have fins, don't have scales. That would include catfish. That would include lobsters. Shrimps. Things like that. They are considered to be... Yahweh tells us "they shall be an abomination to you, and their unclean carcasses should be an abomination."
That means don't even get near them. Don't touch them. Let's keep reading:
Leviticus 11:12 - `Whatever in the water does not have fins or scales -- that [shall be] an abomination to you.
13 - `And these you shall regard as an abomination among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they [are] an abomination: the eagle, the vulture, the buzzard,
14 - `the kite, and the falcon after its kind;
Leviticus 11:15 - `every raven after its kind,
16 - `the ostrich, the short-eared owl, the sea gull, and the hawk after its kind;
17 - `the little owl, the fisher owl, and the screech owl;
Leviticus 11:18 - `the white owl, the jackdaw, and the carrion vulture;
19 - `the stork, the heron after its kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.
20 - `All flying insects that creep on [all] fours [shall be] an abomination to you.
Leviticus 11:41 - `And every creeping thing that creeps on the earth [shall be] an abomination. It shall not be eaten.
Very interesting. So, the things which are unclean are considered to be an abomination. And those who eat them, those who eat these unclean things, Yahweh says, make themselves an abomination.
Leviticus 11:42 - `Whatever crawls on its belly, whatever goes on [all] fours, or whatever has many feet among all creeping things that creep on the earth -- these you shall not eat, for they [are] an abomination.
43 - `You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps; nor shall you make yourselves unclean with them, lest you be defiled by them.
It is one thing that He calls these things abominable, but He says you can make yourselves abominable by partaking and eating from these animals. And to me, that is quite interesting because most people think, "Ah well, eat what you want." But He says you actually make yourselves abominable. Very interesting.
And so, the eating of these things are an abomination, and we are to consider the meats from these animals to be abominable. We are not even supposed to touch them. Don't even touch their dead bodies, let alone eat them. Now, if we do eat them, then we make ourselves abominable.
Now, as I was saying, most people today, their attitude is, "You can bring anything into your body. It is not what goes in the mouth that defiles a man. It is what comes out of the mouth that defiles a man," to misquote the words of Messiah.
Yahushua was not talking about, "Oh, yeah, go ahead and eat unclean animals." What He is saying is, a little bit of dirt on your hands is not going to defile you.
Now, our bodies, as most of you hopefully know, are considered to be the temple of Yahweh's Holy Spirit.
Now, if our bodies are the temple of Yahweh's Holy Spirit, and we are bringing, through the partaking and eating of unclean animals, abominations into our bodies, think about it this way: Antiochus Epiphanes went into the temple and in order to defile the temple he took pig fat and he smeared it on the walls of the Temple of Yahweh.
So, my question is: Are we doing the same things? Are we taking Yahweh's temple, which is our bodies (our bodies are the Temple of Yahweh's Spirit), are we smearing pig fat and the broth of abominable things all over the veins and walls of Yahweh's temple, which is our body?
Now, do we see why Yahweh would consider it to be that when we partake of these things that we make ourselves abominable? Now, I'm not trying to condemn anybody, okay? Unknowingly, maybe some of you are doing this and not thinking it is that big of a deal. But, once again, we have to conform ourselves to what Yahweh says is an abomination.
Now, think about this.
If the eating of unclean animals was something that Yahweh thought was such an awful thing that He would term it to be an utterly, detestable abomination, if that was Yahweh's perspective, then when Messiah died does it really make any sense that the minute that the Messiah died for our sins all of a sudden, "It doesn't matter now. Eat what you want."
"It's not an abomination anymore." I mean, is that how Yahweh changes? In anything else, is that how He operates? And some of us have a hard time with this. We're like, "The thing we eat? That makes us such a terrible awful person or an abomination?"
I'm not telling you what kind of person you are. I'm saying, "Look at the Garden, the Garden of Eden." What was the sin that brought the whole world to corruption? Did it not involve eating? And now, all of a sudden, eat whatever you want? I think not.
And so, you might not think what you eat is all that important, but tell that to Adam and Eve. Of course you can't. But you get my point. What we eat is important if Yahweh has specifically forbidden us from eating it.
Now, Isaiah chapter 65, verse 2:
Isaiah 65:2 - I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, Who walk in a way [that is] not good, According to their own thoughts;
In other words, not according to Yahweh's will, but their own thoughts.
Isaiah 65:3 - A people who provoke Me to anger continually to My face; Who sacrifice in gardens, And burn incense on altars of brick;
4 - Who sit among the graves, And spend the night in the tombs; Who eat swine's flesh, And the broth of abominable things is [in] their vessels;
5 - Who say, `Keep to yourself, Do not come near me, For I am holier than you!' These [are] smoke in My nostrils, A fire that burns all the day.
Isaiah 65:6 - "Behold, [it is] written before Me: I will not keep silence, but will repay -- Even repay into their bosom --
So, if you want to talk about the phrase "holier than thou," it is those who eat swine's flesh and then claim to be walking in holiness, but they are not. Once again, I am not condemning. I am just sharing what the Scriptures tell us.
We see in Leviticus 20:25 that Yahweh wanted us to put a difference between the clean and the unclean, and the holy and the unholy, and that we should walk in holiness.
I shared a few weeks ago, actually a few months ago, a study on holiness. Cleanliness and holiness are intertwined with eachother. There is a connection between the two.
Isaiah chapter 66, verse 16. It is talking about the end times here. It says:
Isaiah 66:16 - For by fire and by His sword YAHWEH will judge all flesh; And the slain of YAHWEH shall be many.
17 - "Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves, [To go] to the gardens After an [idol] in the midst, Eating swine's flesh and the abomination and the mouse, Shall be consumed together," says YAHWEH.
You know, this has never happened. Yahweh has never just went out and judged all flesh by fire and by His sword. And so, this has yet to be fulfilled.
And it says specifically that one of the characteristics of the wicked is that they will be doing what? Eating swine's flesh and what else? The abomination. And they will all be consumed together at the final day.
Now, you can choose not to believe this. That is up to you. But I am going to share with you what this says, and it specifically says He will destroy those eating swine's flesh.
And so, Yahweh is the same yesterday, today and forever. And if He considered it to be an abomination--something vile, disgusting, abhorrent and detestable--He is not going to change that opinion of things from one minute to the next. He is not going to change His opinion about what's wrong and what's right.
Now, the reason why these things are not abominable in the eyes of people today is because the eating of these things is very common place. It's normal. People eat them all the time. They will get little packages in the grocery store.
And very rarely does anyone think anything negative about it, except for, of course, the Jewish people, who are trying to observe Yahweh's word.
Now, I can tell you from one I know who has personally butchered a pig, one of the most disgusting things a person can possibly do is to butcher a pig. It is much different than butchering like a cow or a sheep. And so, even in that we should learn just how unclean and abominable these things are.
But for those who don't, it is mainly because, you know, you just go to the store and eat a little package of "the other white meat." That is the way people's attitude is, and they think, "I can eat what I want, and I can enjoy it because the Messiah died for my sins."
What does that have to do with anything? What does the Messiah's death for our sins have to do with whether or not Yahweh considers this to be an abomination? It really doesn't.
And so, we have to be careful that culture and man's opinion is not influencing how we see things. We know that Yahweh says, "My ways are higher than your ways, and My thoughts are greater than your thoughts." How many would say, "My thoughts today are closer to Yahweh's thoughts than they were when I first believed?"
I mean, I hope that most of us would say our thoughts are closer to Yahweh's thoughts, our opinions are closer to Yahweh's opinions. Our goal is to be perfected in His image, to walk in the image of Yahushua HaMashiach.
And so, we can't let what this world says and its opinions of what is an abomination to be our guiding light. We have to look into His Word. We know that Yahweh talks often about the world's influence and the danger of it. Here in Proverbs 29, verse 27, it says:
Proverbs 29:27 - An unjust man [is] an abomination to the righteous, And [he who is] upright in the way [is] an abomination to the wicked.
Now, probably some of us have experienced some of this. They hear that you are not eating pork anymore or that you are doing things differently. And to them, you are an abomination. And the things that you are doing, as you are learning the things of Yahweh, you are finding the things they do to be abominable.
That is because we are conforming ourselves to Yahweh's image as we learn and grow. And so, we are gaining Yahweh's perspective.
You go back about 30-40 years ago, homosexuality was considered to be an awful abomination to probably ninety-five percent of the people to the culture at that time.
I know when I was growing up, it was something that was laughed at as being silly and ridiculous. But they shoved their lifestyle in our face long enough to where people are desensitized to it. They have it now on the television all the time, much to our own dismay. It's there. And so, the lifestyle is taking hold.
And here in just 30 or 40 years the tide has turned. And now in some places you cannot discriminate based on whether or not they are homo- or heterosexual, as far as they consider any negative word spoken to gays potentially to be a hate crime. Just in Europe it is even worse. It is even worse.
You can't even say anything negative about gay people in some countries. I don't like the term "gay" because they are not. They are not happy. But in Yahweh's eyes:
Leviticus 20:13 - `If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood [shall be] upon them.
So, this is an abomination to Yahweh. (Leviticus 20, verse 13.) And if it is an abomination to Him, is it an abomination to us? That is an important question because as we go along here, they keep putting their lifestyle in front of us and promoting it and trying to make you think it's okay. It is slowly not becoming an abomination to people anymore.
So this nation we live in, they have their own ways. The nations of the world have their own ways. The cultures of our world today have their own ways. And then, Yahweh has His ways. He didn't put up with it. He didn't put up with it. So, Leviticus 20, verse 22. Yahweh says:
Leviticus 20:22 - `You shall therefore keep all My statutes and all My judgments, and perform them, that the land where I am bringing you to dwell may not vomit you out.
23 - `And you shall not walk in the statutes of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they commit all these things, and therefore I abhor them.
Leviticus 20:24 - `But I have said to you, "You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey." I [am] YAHWEH your Elohim, who has separated you from the peoples.
25 - `You shall therefore distinguish between clean animals and unclean, between unclean birds and clean, and you shall not make yourselves abominable by beast or by bird, or by any kind of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.
Once again, we see the verbiage here. "Do not make yourselves abominable by beast or by bird," He says, because He wants you to be a special people. And He says:
Leviticus 20:26 - `And you shall be holy to Me, for I YAHWEH [am] holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.
Now, do you believe that is still true today? Has Yahweh separated you from the common people so that you would be His own special treasure? We talked about this last week at length--our identity.
Our identity is that we are a holy, special people unto Yahweh. That is our identity. And since that is our identity, let's live our lives as though that is true, since that is our identity.
Now, this is why I don't necessarily condemn those who don't have my understanding on this, because Yahweh can meet us right where we are.
Maybe you didn't understand about the pork and things, but once we realize, once we are convicted, once in our heart we see it, we see that we need to submit ourselves to what Yahweh has said in His Word is abominable--things that we need not be a part of, things we need to avoid. And pork-derived products are one of them.
It's sad because a lot of foods, a lot of medicines and many benign-sounding ingredients--like glycerin, natural flavors, gelatin, monoglycerides, monostearates--different things contain, or can contain (sometimes it's plant based, sometimes animal based), pork-derived products.
It's in soaps. A lot of your bar soaps are basically made out of pig fat. I mean, how can you wash and clean your hands with something that is unclean? It's in toothpastes. It's in Downey fabric softener. It's in Bounty paper towels. The world does not care, and so they don't mind having pork-derived ingredients in their things.
I mean, how can you wipe your mouth with a paper towel with something that's unclean or coat your clothing in pig fat, or whatever pig-derived ingredient they are putting in?
So, it is possible to avoid these things. We just have to make different choices in what products we purchase because we are a holy, special people unto Yahweh--not because of our own righteousness, not because we make right choices everyday, but because Yahweh is merciful and gracious. And He has poured out His grace upon us through His Son, Yahushua.
Now, if you are going to the grocery store and you want to avoid abominations, there are certain symbols on food. Like if you are here in the United States, there will be a "U" with a circle around it, and that means "Union of Orthodox Jews... something or other." And they have already inspected the ingredients.
They won't even allow there to be an unclean anything in the same warehouse, as far as manufacture, unless it is sealed. So, they have gone a little overboard, but it doesn't just mean they have blessed it and it is clean, even though it is unclean. They do inspect and check out the ingredients (the "K" with the circle around it).
The only one you want to be careful about is if it just has a plain "K" like Jell-O Brand gelatin. Jell-O Brand gelatin is derived from pork even though they have a "K" there.
Now, the plain "K" doesn't belong to any specific Jewish organization that they have to be accountable to, just one reformed Rabbi. They can say, "Oh, it's a different substance now," and put a "K" in their gelatin because it is a plain "K". You can't copyright the letter "K."
So, the plain "K," don't trust that, but the "K" with the circle around it, the "U" with the circle around it, sometimes they have little Hebrew letters, things like that are pretty trustworthy.
Even that, it doesn't necessarily even mean that the company is following the rules, but the Rabbis or whatever... the guys... the inspectors... come by once or twice a year to make sure that they are compliant. Sometimes I think we have to start growing our own food, really, to eat the way we should.
Now, with any uncleanness we need to be careful we are not so overboard that we won't shake somebody's hand or go and sit with one who is an unclean person or whatever. We can get overboard like a Pharisee and then act like we are so much better than everybody else. But we don't need to do that. We don't need to do that.
So, these are the abominations:
Leviticus 18:22 - `You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It [is] an abomination.
23 - `Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It [is] perversion.
Leviticus 18:25 - `For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants.
26 - `You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit [any] of these abominations, [either] any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you
So, Yahweh considers it to be something that even defiles the very land, and many of us live in defiled lands. Yahweh looks at the abominations that have been committed in the land in which we dwell and considers it to be defiled land. So, the whole earth, actually, is defiled nowadays. And where are you going to go? Where are you going to go?
And so, the earth cannot bear these abominations being committed upon it. The earth was not designed and created for men to do the things that men are doing with it today. And we know judgment is on the way.
Isaiah 24:4 - The earth mourns [and] fades away, The world languishes [and] fades away; The haughty people of the earth languish.
5 - The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, Because they have transgressed the laws, Changed the ordinance, Broken the everlasting covenant.
These are the things that will defile a land: Transgressing Yahweh's Law, which we know what it says about defiling the land. Changing the ordinance--"Oh, we don't have to worry about pork anymore and keeping Old Testament stuff. It's all changed now." How many times have you heard that?
"Oh, that covenant, the covenant with Israel, you can ignore it. The things that Yahweh commanded then don't really matter now." How many times have you heard that? And so, here we go.
Isaiah 24:6 - Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, And those who dwell in it are desolate. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, And few men [are] left.
What curse? Yahweh says that if you don't observe His commandments in the Torah, He will bring a curse upon you and upon the land. And few men are left.
Do you get that? Is this talking about something that already happened? No. It's fire. The inhabitants of the earth are burned.
So, those eating swine's flesh are burned because they have changed the ordinance, transgressed the laws, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore the curse devours the earth. Those who dwell in it are desolate, and the inhabitants of the earth are burned.
First, Yahweh destroyed the earth with the flood. The second time He comes to devour the earth with fire. And if you keep reading this chapter, it is really interesting. We are going to skip down, though, to verse 19.
Isaiah 24:19 - The earth is violently broken, The earth is split open, The earth is shaken exceedingly.
20 - The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, And shall totter like a hut; Its transgression shall be heavy upon it, And it will fall, and not rise again.
Wow! It's because Yahweh has punished the inhabitants of the earth because they've changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
Isaiah 24:21 - It shall come to pass in that day [That] YAHWEH will punish on high the host of exalted ones, And on the earth the kings of the earth.
22 - They will be gathered together, [As] prisoners are gathered in the pit, And will be shut up in the prison; After many days they will be punished.
Talking about, basically, those who are going to hell. Keep reading:
Isaiah 24:23 - Then the moon will be disgraced And the sun ashamed; For YAHWEH of hosts will reign On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem And before His elders, gloriously.
Obviously, brothers and sisters, this is a future event that has not yet taken place.
And so, if you have a different interpretation of Paul's letters than I do regarding the eating of unclean animals and so on, take another look at that because, obviously, we see here in several Old Testament prophetic passages there are no changes in how Yahweh feels about those who partake of and end up becoming abominations to Him.
So, we need to try our best to conform our mind to His mind, as silly as it may seem to you. But He calls it an abomination.
Deuteronomy 12:29 - "When YAHWEH your Elohim cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land,
30 - "take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, `How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.'
Deuteronomy 12:31 - "You shall not worship YAHWEH your Elohim in that way; for every abomination to YAHWEH which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.
32 - "Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.
Now, He finds their works to be abominable because all idolatry is an abomination to Yahweh.
Deuteronomy 27:15 - `Cursed [is] the one who makes a carved or molded image, an abomination to YAHWEH, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets [it] up in secret.' And all the people shall answer and say, `Amen!'
Deuteronomy 32:16 - They provoked Him to jealousy with foreign [gods]; With abominations they provoked Him to anger.
See, Yahweh does not like idols, obviously. We need to worship Yahweh in the way which He has ordained we worship Him, not in the way that the heathen have ordained to worship their gods, right? Don't worship Yahweh in that way.
And yet, we have today festivals observed by most people (here in the United States, especially) called Christmas and Easter, and both festivals are rooted in the very things that Yahweh detests and hates. They have their roots in pagan tradition and the worship of idols, and Yahweh says, "You shall not worship Me in that way," (Deut. 12:31).
Yahweh not only hates the things, the idols themselves, He says, "Don't even worship Me in the way they worship their gods." So, those are things we have to avoid. Also, Deuteronomy chapter 7 and verse 26, it says:
Deuteronomy 7:26 - "Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it. You shall utterly detest it and utterly abhor it, for it [is] an accursed thing.
You know, there are people who have little cupids and little images which are supposed to be angels that are in their homes. But, you know, a lot of those things that are supposed to be looking like angels are actually Nike, the goddess Nike. And the little cupids are actually also rooted in paganism.
So, don't bring those things into your house, Yahweh says, lest you be doomed to destruction like it.
Now, another place where an idol can be set up is in our very hearts. In Ezekiel chapter 14, verse 3, it says:
Ezekiel 14:3 - "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put before them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity. Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them?
So, these are things in our hearts, the things that we do with our minds and what is going on in our hearts. And we have various forms of media today that are in use, which are common inroads, where men put up things that cause them to stumble in their hearts. It is setting up idols in their hearts.
And men set themselves up as being greater than Elohim when men have their own ways and say, "My ways are better than the ways of Yahweh in the Old Testament because we're out with the old and in with the new."
Now, if that is how they understand it, I don't condemn them. I'm just sharing here what the Word of Yahweh does say.
Now, other things that Yahweh calls abominations:
Deuteronomy 18:9 - "When you come into the land which YAHWEH your Elohim is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations.
10 - "There shall not be found among you [anyone] who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, [or one] who practices witchcraft, [or] a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,
11 - "or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.
Now, Yahweh considers these things to be abominable. These are some of the abominations. He says the abominations of those nations.
And so, what do we have in our culture today? We have Harry Potter, the one engaging in witchcraft. We have Disney movies. The "Magic Kingdom." And I don't know how many other movies (a very high percentage of their movies) contain the glorification of magic. The very thing that Yahweh says is an utter abomination. And they glorify it.
And these movies are loaded with this kind of stuff. It is not Yahweh's power they are drawing on. It is demonic power. And they glorify it. And they present it as a struggle between white magic and black magic. They present it that way, as if the white magic is from Yahweh. That is not the way it is.
Magic is evil. It is an abomination to Him, and we need to get these things out of our house. Do you have Disney movies? Throw them in the garbage or burn them or do something because they are an abomination. They glorify the things which Yahweh despises.
And so, the real battle is the battle between Yahweh and all of those magicians. They don't present the Good News of Yahushua the Messiah in these movies. They don't present that. Oh, they act like, "Oh, there is good magic." But all white magic is, is an attempt to put something that is basically a wolf and clothe it in sheep's clothing.
Our homes, brothers, should be a sanctuary, a place for the dwelling of Yahweh's Spirit. And we can't allow our homes to be having content through the television that would be things that would chase away and grieve the Spirit of Yahweh.
Not that Yahweh would run away from it, but Yahweh's Spirit is Holy, and He does not dwell with uncleanness and abominations. We want Yahweh's Spirit to be in our homes. And so, we don't participate in these things.
We don't read their books. We don't watch their movies. We don't want to enjoy the things which Yahweh despises--psychics, palm readers, tarot card readers, mediums, ouija boards, magic this, magic that. All of them are abominations to Yahweh.
Another example is Deuteronomy 22, verse 5. It says:
Deuteronomy 22:5 - "A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so [are] an abomination to YAHWEH your Elohim.
Now, we have today quite a bit of this going on, men who are acting effeminate like women and women who are acting masculine. The clothing is just the final thing, but there are also attitudes. And there are different things that are very effeminate, and we are not called to be effeminate.
Yahweh puts a division, a clear separation, in man and a woman and doesn't want confusion going on. We definitely see that in our age--gender confusion and what we shared last week. A lot of young boys growing up today are fed with all this stimuli that is from the devil and don't know how to be men.
And so, it is all abominations. Today we are seeing more and more that men and women are basically wearing the same clothing. It ought not be so. It ought not be so.
Another example of an abomination:
Deuteronomy 23:18 - "You shall not bring the wages of a harlot or the price of a dog to the house of YAHWEH your Elohim for any vowed offering, for both of these [are] an abomination to YAHWEH your Elohim.
This is basically male/female prostitute money. Now, the heathen did this on a regular basis in order to make money for the temple. Yahweh wants no part of these things. He does not want money that was acquired through sin to be placed in His tithe.
Now, I have heard that there are some people who are struggling with working on the Sabbath. They work on the Sabbath, and then they give that money that they made while working on the Sabbath as a tithe to Yahweh. But this ought not be so. Yahweh says do not bring these kinds of things into the tithe, into His House.
What we need to do is, we need to remember the Sabbath, to keep it holy. Seek first the Kingdom of Yahweh and His righteousness, and then He will add all the other things that we need.
Now, one time something happened where I had a transaction show up online. It was on the Sabbath. So, what do you do with the money? Now it is abominations. I threw it away. Maybe a little controversial, but anyway.
Deuteronomy 24:1 - "When a man takes a wife and marries her, and it happens that she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some uncleanness in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, puts [it] in her hand, and sends her out of his house,
2 - "when she has departed from his house, and goes and becomes another man's [wife],
3 - "[if] the latter husband detests her and writes her a certificate of divorce, puts [it] in her hand, and sends her out of his house, or if the latter husband dies who took her as his wife,
Deuteronomy 24:4 - "[then] her former husband who divorced her must not take her back to be his wife after she has been defiled; for that [is] an abomination before YAHWEH, and you shall not bring sin on the land which YAHWEH your Elohim is giving you [as] an inheritance.
Now, there are some who have written studies on divorce and remarriage.
They believe that what needs to happen is, believe it or not, that if your wife left you (because she left you and married another man, Yahweh didn't honor the divorce), after the woman realizes that she sinned and divorces this man, she should come back and get remarried to you, which is the very opposite of what Yahweh says.
So, there are at least a percentage of people in this world today who have gone back to their first wife or first husband after they have already remarried, and they got remarried again a second time after the other one has already been married. And they are living an abomination.
And a lot of that is under, basically, a Christian teaching, people who claim to believe in the Bible. And they disregard the book of Deuteronomy because they don't believe that the Old Testament is anything we even have to follow today. And by that they end up committing things that Yahweh calls an abomination.
Deuteronomy 25:15 - "You shall have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure, that your days may be lengthened in the land which YAHWEH your Elohim is giving you.
16 - "For all who do such things, all who behave unrighteously, [are] an abomination to YAHWEH your Elohim.
Obviously, cheating others out of money.
Proverbs 11:1 - Dishonest scales [are] an abomination to YAHWEH, But a just weight [is] His delight.
So, we see all kinds of these things happening today--scams, where people are participating in evil things. I have gotten phone calls where people try to scam me out of money.
Of course, it is not the will of most of culture to engage in these kinds of things. But internet scams, phishing scams. Constantly, we get people trying to steal money from us. "We want you to give us your bank information."
There are people who have been ripped off through supposed inheritances from Africa and things. These things are everywhere today.
Now, another abomination:
Proverbs 11:20 - Those who are of a perverse heart [are] an abomination to YAHWEH, But [the] blameless in their ways [are] His delight.
Now the people of our generation, obviously, have gained a perverse and unruly heart. We have not acknowledged what Yahweh calls abominable, and until we do, our hearts are going to be perverted.
Deuteronomy 17:1 - "You shall not sacrifice to YAHWEH your Elohim a bull or sheep which has any blemish [or] defect, for that [is] an abomination to YAHWEH your Elohim.
Just to offer a bull or an animal. Now what does that have to do with what we do today? Well, we have to think about things.
There are spiritual sacrifices, are there not? (Sacrifice of praise upon our lips. Lift our hands as the evening sacrifice.)
Are there any possibilities of our praises to Yahweh being tainted with other things? Maybe we are trying to be getting the glory ourselves through an offering. That would be a tainted sacrifice.
Maybe someone is paying us to go play music before Yahweh and to praise Yahweh. To me, that would be wrong to get paid, and that pretty much wipes out most of the Christian Contemporary Music Industry, which they want you to buy so that you can hear the praises to Yahweh. They want you to buy it. And that doesn't seem right to me.
And if someone is getting paid while they are making their offerings and their praises, then how is that supposed to be a pure offering? David said, "I will not offer to Yahweh something that cost me nothing." And yet, we have musicians today who are making millions of dollars to give praise to Yahweh.
So, just some things to think about. You might not agree with everything I say, but think about this: Is it really a pure and holy offering to Yahweh when these guys step out on their stages and all these lights and the fog and everything to glorify man? Is that really an offering that Yahweh accepts? Or is that a blemished offering?
How can Yahweh accept their praise when they are so busy glorifying themselves through the whole thing? Now, I am not judging any of them. This is what it is, though.
So, when we offer our own praises to Yahweh, we want to make sure it is really praises to Yahweh and not an attempt to gain the glory of men. Nor should we be ashamed if we don't have the best musical skills because the one who really needs to hear it is Yahweh, and that is really all that matters.
Isaiah 42:8 - I [am] YAHWEH, that [is] My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images.
Our praise needs to be without blemish. He doesn't want His glory being given to anybody else. Sincere praise to Him and forsake the glorifying of men.
Proverbs chapter 6, verse 16, talks about quite a number of things that are an abomination to Him. It says:
Proverbs 6:16 - These six [things] YAHWEH hates, Yes, seven [are] an abomination to Him:
17 - A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 - A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil,
Proverbs 6:19 - A false witness [who] speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.
All these things are an abomination. Various parts of our body. The look on our face. Is it a prideful countenance, a proud look? How about our tongues? Are we using it for righteousness or are we using it to tell lies? Our hands, it says, shed innocent blood. You know, our tongue can shed innocent blood, too, through slandering.
A heart that devises wicked plans. Feet that are swift in running to evil. A false witness who speaks lies. And one who sows discord among brethren through slander, through stirring the pot.
So, our body is to be an instrument of righteousness, not instruments for sin. In fact, it is this sin of shedding innocent blood. Right here. It says, "The hands that shed innocent blood." Don't we see that today?
I think it is 1 out of 4 pregnancies end in abortion. The most dangerous place to live in the United States is not the back alley of Detroit growing up in the hood. The most dangerous place to live in America is inside Mommy. Very sad. Very sad.
And it was this shedding of innocent blood that was something Yahweh refused to pardon in 2nd Kings chapter 24. It says:
2Kings 24:3 - Surely at the commandment of YAHWEH [this] came upon Judah, to remove [them] from His sight because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done,
He caused them to go into exile.
2Kings 24:4 - and also because of the innocent blood that he had shed; for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, which YAHWEH would not pardon.
Wow! Yahweh would not pardon, even if he repented, because of the innocent blood that was shed.
Now we know that Manasseh was the one who did this, and Manasseh did repent later on in his life, but he offered his children to Molech. Innocent blood was shed in abundance, and Yahweh would not pardon the land for the sin that was committed on it. Of course, He could forgive Manasseh, just like David.
David shed the blood of an innocent man named Uriah the Hittite. So the child that that was born from that was killed by Yahweh. And so, he didn't let it go unpunished, even though He did forgive David.
So, if any of you have had your hand in committing the sin of abortion, there is forgiveness available, but there might always be this little hole in your heart where this had happened. It is just the way it is.
In other countries, like Russia, would you believe that there are 200 abortions for every 100 live births? So, it is even worse in other countries.
So, Yahweh did not pardon Judah when the land was filled with the shedding of innocent blood. We just see the abominations of this world piling higher and higher and higher to where parents shed the innocent blood of their own children. But Yahweh one day will cleanse this earth of all of it, and He will cleanse it, as we read earlier, with fire.
Proverbs 12:22 - Lying lips [are] an abomination to YAHWEH, But those who deal truthfully [are] His delight.
Proverbs 8:6 - Listen, for I will speak of excellent things, And from the opening of my lips [will come] right things;
7 - For my mouth will speak truth; Wickedness [is] an abomination to my lips.
So, our words can be abominations to Yahweh if our words are lies. We need to have nothing to do with lies. The father of lies is the Enemy.
Another example of an abomination:
Proverbs 17:15 - He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, Both of them alike [are] an abomination to YAHWEH.
It reminds me of lawyers. You know, they defend the ones they know are guilty, and the prosecutors will prosecute the ones they know really are falsely accused. And they will do it in the name of advancing their careers.
It also reminds me of how some people like to make very quick snap judgments about other people's character and call it spiritual discernment. They don't really know the facts and end up condemning the just.
And there are others who die and they were utterly wicked. And yet, everyone will say, "He was a good man."
Now, the best thing to do is simply not to judge either way if you do not know. That way you are not justifying the wicked. That way you are not condemning the just. If we are going to judge, we need to be true in our judgments. It is very important. Otherwise, we are committing what Yahweh calls an abomination.
And if we don't know, just be humble. Admit, "I don't know," rather than being the proud one saying, "I've got the discernment, here. I know what's going on." And we see that happen quite a lot.
Proverbs 21:26 - He covets greedily all day long, But the righteous gives and does not spare.
27 - The sacrifice of the wicked [is] an abomination; How much more [when] he brings it with wicked intent!
Now, what is the sacrifice of the wicked? What is that? We can read about the sacrifice of the wicked in Isaiah chapter 1, verse 11:
Isaiah 1:11 - "To what purpose [is] the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?" Says YAHWEH. "I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats.
Isaiah 1:12 - "When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this from your hand, To trample My courts?
13 - Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies -- I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.
Why is Yahweh so upset to where He doesn't even want their Feast Days, the very Feast Days He commanded them to keep? He doesn't want it. He doesn't want to hear it... because He cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting together.
So, if we are committing abominations, willfully committing abominations, and then we gather together with Yahweh's people--"Oh, give praise to the King"--that sacrifice is just an abomination. You have this unrepentant sin, this ongoing sin in your life, and you are compounding it. And so, what does He say? He says:
Isaiah 1:14 - Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing [them].
15 - When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.
Your hands are full of blood. He goes on to say:
Isaiah 1:16 - "Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,
17 - Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.
Yahweh doesn't want all these sacrifices going on, these offerings, if people are not going to walk a repentant lifestyle and confess their sins and seek forgiveness and seek righteousness. It is like someone who sins all day long and then they spend the evening in worship and praise.
To what purpose would the sacrifice be for someone who sins willfully all week long and then goes and worships Yahweh on the day of worship, regardless if you do it Sunday or whatever, but you don't go there to repent? You just go there to worship.
Yahweh does not have to accept our praise offerings to Him. Our offerings need to be without blemish. Samuel told Saul:
1Samuel 15:22 - Then Samuel said: "Has YAHWEH [as great] delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of YAHWEH? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, [And] to heed than the fat of rams.
And you see this. Some of the Christians I talk to or ex-Christians I talk to speak of the hypocrisy of whatever congregation it was that they were involved in. And sadly, even sometimes among us.
Some of the young Christian men or non-Christian men I have talked to discuss about how they go partying all night long Saturday night and then come in Sunday morning for their church and be at their best and act like they are all righteous.
And through Prison Ministry, there are people I know that couldn't fathom that the Bible was correct because that is exactly what their parents did--get drunk on the weekends and then come into church on Sunday. That is an abomination.
Forget the praise offerings and the hymns. Get on your face and repent. That is what needs to happen. Then He will delight in your offerings.
Psalm 51, verse 16, was written by King David after he had sinned with Bathsheba and was exposed by the prophet Nathan. And he told Yahweh:
Psalms 51:16 - For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give [it]; You do not delight in burnt offering.
17 - The sacrifices of Elohim [are] a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart -- These, O Elohim, You will not despise.
Psalms 51:18 - Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem.
19 - Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, With burnt offering and whole burnt offering; Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.
So, after he had gotten into trouble, here, with Bathsheba, his attitude was, "Cleanse me. Purify me. I repent." He didn't go down to the temple and make some sacrifice and keep on going. And so, we shouldn't treat Messiah like that, either.
He gave His offering, and we shouldn't just go on about our lives and act like we are giving offerings of praise with our bodies and everything like that, if our bodies are the temple of His Holy Spirit, and act like every thing is okay when we have serious sin that we need to repent for.
Our lifting up of hands.
Psalms 141:2 - Let my prayer be set before You [as] incense, The lifting up of my hands [as] the evening sacrifice.
So, that is a type of sacrifice. Our prayers are sacrifices unto Yahweh. Proverbs 28, verse 9, says:
Proverbs 28:9 - One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer [is] an abomination.
He who turns his ear away from hearing the Torah (the Law), even his prayer is an abomination. Why? We are giving praise to Yahweh, maybe offering thanksgiving as we pray to Yahweh, and yet, we are walking unrighteously, or we don't want to hear His Word so that we will learn how to walk righteously. That can make our prayer an abomination.
Pretty strong stuff here. Real strong. If we don't want to hear Yahweh through Him speaking to us through His Word, through the Scriptures, then why would Yahweh want to hear from us? I mean, communication is two-way, right? It is not always just one-way--"Yahweh do for me." We need to go into His Word and say, "What do I need to do for You, Yahweh?"
And a lot of people in this world kind of picture Yahweh as this guy that comes around whenever you are in a jam. They use Him like a spare tire. They keep Him in the back of the trunk of their mind until they need Him and then, you know, they use Him, gets them out of the jam, and then they put Him back in the trunk again.
But if we don't want to hear what Yahweh has to say, then our prayers are an abomination to Him.
And so, we need to be attentive to His Law, His Torah, and be willing to have ears to hear and not have this picture in our mind where we go through life and we think, "Okay, I have my house; two or three children; I have my retirement; car in the garage; I have my religion. You know, just one of those things on the list."
Yahweh doesn't accept that. Yahweh is in first place already. He is already King of the Universe. And so, we have to put Him in that place. He has to be put in that place in our minds. He wants us to love Him with all of our heart, all of our soul, all of our strength.
If He is not number one in your mind, then He is not your Elohim. Something else is in that position. And that is a question only you can answer.
And so, we want to diligently seek out what Yahweh wants for our life. And Yahweh makes a promise. He says, "If you shall seek Me, you will find Me, if you search for Me with all your heart, and I will be found by you."
It doesn't matter what sins we've committed, no matter what sins we've done. Yahweh is willing to forgive. He did it for David. And David did some pretty awful things. He had trouble in his household. Many awful things he did. And yet, he was forgiven.
Now, some people will tell you today, "Oh, no, there are not really certain sins that are abominations. Actually all sins are the same." And you go tell a white lie. "No different than murdering your neighbor." Now, come on. How does that make sense, all sins being the same? I mean, even unbelievers recognize that doesn't make any sense.
You have first degree murder, second degree murder, third degree murder. Different degrees. Even within the actual sin of murder. To me, murdering would certainly be worse than coveting your neighbor's house. I mean they are both sins. They are both transgressions. It only takes one transgression for us to be guilty and in need of a Savior.
But there are certain sins that are worse than others. In Ezekiel chapter 8, verse 4, you see this very clearly. It says:
Ezekiel 8:4 - And behold, the glory of the Elohim of Israel [was] there, like the vision that I saw in the plain.
5 - Then He said to me, "Son of man, lift your eyes now toward the north." So I lifted my eyes toward the north, and there, north of the altar gate, was this image of jealousy in the entrance.
This is in the Temple.
Ezekiel 8:6 - Furthermore He said to me, "Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary? Now turn again, you will see greater abominations."
See, Yahweh leaves. What does He say? "Now turn again, you will see greater abominations." So, abominations that are even worse than what he saw there.
Ezekiel 8:7 - So He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, there was a hole in the wall.
8 - Then He said to me, "Son of man, dig into the wall"; and when I dug into the wall, there was a door.
9 - And He said to me, "Go in, and see the wicked abominations which they are doing there."
Ezekiel 8:10 - So I went in and saw, and there -- every sort of creeping thing, abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed all around on the walls.
11 - And there stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, and in their midst stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan. Each man had a censer in his hand, and a thick cloud of incense went up.
Ezekiel 8:12 - Then He said to me, "Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say, `YAHWEH does not see us, YAHWEH has forsaken the land.'"
Of course, Yahweh is omnipresent.
Ezekiel 8:13 - And He said to me, "Turn again, [and] you will see greater abominations that they are doing."
14 - So He brought me to the door of the north gate of YAHWEH'S house; and to my dismay, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz.
Tammuz was one of these idols that died.
Ezekiel 8:15 - Then He said to me, "Have you seen [this], O son of man? Turn again, you will see greater abominations than these."
16 - So He brought me into the inner court of YAHWEH'S house; and there, at the door of the temple of YAHWEH, between the porch and the altar, [were] about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of YAHWEH and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the east.
So, pretty amazing. I mean, how painful it had to be for Yahweh to behold these things. You think about it. I mean, we know, just ourselves, we know the abominations that are going on in the earth today just from what we see with our own eyes and we hear with our own ears, but Yahweh sees everything at one time.
He sees all these abominations, all these detestable things, going on. And then He sees the hearts, too. What restraint He must have and what value He must place on men's souls that He doesn't just come and annihilate us completely.
So, we need to make sure that we don't have any remnants of idolatrous or abominable practices in our own walk.
We want to cleanse ourselves from the things which are rooted in idolatry--the left over sun worship in modern day religions; many of the abominable things that we have inherited because of traditions of men, who were in many cases idol worshipers themselves.
So, when we look at the abominations around us in the world today, have we become desensitized to it to where we just say, "Oh, well, yeah..." Or are we like these men here in Ezekiel chapter 9, verse 4? It says:
Ezekiel 9:4 - and YAHWEH said to him, "Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it."
So, what is our attitude? Do we sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done on the earth today? Or do we just kind of go, "Oh, well," and it is not really an abomination to us even though it is an abomination to Yahweh?
That is an important question. Where are our hearts? We want our spirit to be in tune with Yahweh's Spirit. We want our ways to be in tune with Yahweh's ways.
And if we are the ones committing these abominations, Yahushua came to cleanse us. Don't let anyone lie to you and say, "Oh, yeah, you can do all the sin you want. Yahushua will cleanse us. It doesn't really matter. You don't really have to turn away from those things." We don't want to go back to wallowing in the mire. We only want the truth.
And the truth is, we need to go back to the old paths:
Jeremiah 6:16 - Thus says YAHWEH: "Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way [is], And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, `We will not walk [in it].'
17 - Also, I set watchmen over you, [saying], `Listen to the sound of the trumpet!' But they said, `We will not listen.'
Jeremiah 6:18 - Therefore hear, you nations, And know, O congregation, what [is] among them.
The Nations. The Gentiles.
Jeremiah 6:19 - Hear, O earth! Behold, I will certainly bring calamity on this people -- The fruit of their thoughts, Because they have not heeded My words, Nor My law, but rejected it.
So, we need to have Yahweh's perspective, and you are going to gain it as you read Torah, as you read the New Testament, as you read Paul's letters, as you read Yahushua's words, as you read Isaiah, as you read from the words of Moshe.
The Law is not to be rejected. It is to be regarded as the old way, the old paths, wherein is the good way. That is where the good way is.
It needs to be embraced, just as any other portion of Scripture, that we might walk in the full council of Yahweh, living by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of Yahweh--no matter what year He happened to say it. So, let's walk therein.
Let's listen to Yahweh's words. Let's not reject His Law. Let's receive it. He wants to grant us His wisdom. We only need to ask for it. And He promises He will give it.
James 1:5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of Elohim, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Because there is no wisdom, brothers and sisters, like the Torah. Psalm 119, the psalmist says:
Psalms 119:131 - I opened my mouth and panted, For I longed for Your commandments.
132 - Look upon me and be merciful to me, As Your custom [is] toward those who love Your name.
Is that our attitude toward His Word? Very important question. The psalmist, he loved the old ways. He loved the old ways.
And those who do not like the old ways--those who are not like a wise scribe who brings out of the abundance of his treasures things new and old--those who refuse the old ways, are going to find you, in many cases, to be the abomination. We don't have to be unnecessarily harsh toward those who don't see things our way.
I am sharing a strong message today, and maybe some of my assertions you need to do more research because these are the things that Yahweh says are abominations.
We need to learn and move on in the Spirit, and that sometimes involves learning things that we didn't know before, taking attitudes that we didn't have before, longing for His commandments, maybe something we didn't have before.
So, let's love His Word. Let's cry out for mercy. Let's direct our steps according to His Word. And let not iniquity have dominion over us. And we pray: "Redeem us, Yahweh, from the oppression of man, that we might learn to keep Your precepts. Make Your face shine upon Your servant, and teach me Your statutes."
We want deliverance. We want to have Yahweh's mind within us. And so, he says:
Psalms 119:136 - Rivers of water run down from my eyes, Because [men] do not keep Your law.
Do we cry out over the abominations in the earth today? Do we take a firm stand against them? Do we compromise because the opinions of the culture have formed our opinions? Or do we look into the Word and say, "If Yahweh says it is an abomination, it is an abomination to me." Are we the ones crying out?
Ezekiel 9:4 - and YAHWEH said to him, "Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it."
You know, the men here in Ezekiel chapter 9 were spared from judgment. You know that judgment may soon come to our own nations that we live in. And if we are crying out against these things, maybe we will be spared from judgment.
And so, these men who are doing these abominations, let's not be afraid to share because Yahweh says one day it will happen that no more abominations will occur on the earth.
Revelation 21:23 - The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of Elohim illuminated it. The Lamb [is] its light.
24 - And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.
Revelation 21:25 - Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there).
26 - And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.
27 - But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
And so, brothers, let's forsake all defilement, all abominations, all lies, all proud countenances, all tongues that spread poison through slander and the use of our bodies to be a dwelling place for the broth of abominations.
Let's be diligent to seek Yahweh's salvation, to love His light, to walk in the path of Yahushua HaMashiach, who never committed these abominations. Yahweh has already shown us the ancient paths in which we are to tread. It is a narrow path that few find, and most are not going to recognize what really is an abomination to Him.
But we only need to look to our example, Yahushua the Messiah, who never committed these things, and seek to walk as He walked. Because in the end, those who are willing to believe Him and walk as He has walked are the ones who will prevail, are the ones who will be overcomers, are the ones who will not have to face judgment.
His Word says it. We need to believe it. And we need to live our lives as though we do. Let's seek to do so.
And brothers and sisters, as you do so, may Yahweh bless you, and may Yahweh truly have mercy on us all.
