Berean's message:

HalleluYAH

Baruch HaBa B'Shem YAHWEH

Matthew 23:39 - For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of YHWH.

Jeremiah 6:16 - Thus saith YHWH, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

There are many examples in Scripture that show that it is wrong for a woman to contend with her husband in an unsubmissive, defiant, or rebellious manner.

This message is meant to be edifying for those women who have determined, or would like to determine to have shalom in their home. As I have said many times before, there is an equally strong teaching for the husband.

Genesis 26:1 - And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.

Genesis 26:2 - And YHWH appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:

Genesis 26:3 - Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;

Genesis 26:4 - And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

Genesis 26:5 - Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Isaac was told that he would be blessed

Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Genesis 18:17 - And YHWH said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

Genesis 18:18 - Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

Genesis 18:19 - For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of YHWH, to do justice and judgment; that YHWH may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of YHWH, to do justice and judgment;

Lets us seek righteousness...

Isaiah 51:1 - Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek YHWH: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.

Isaiah 51:2 - Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you:

This verse says so much

with few words

YAHWEH says: for I called him alone

yet, Abraham AND Sarah are mentioned...

they were echad.

both are given as an example

I would like to take a closer look at Sarah's example

I believe that Scripture holds the answer on how a YAHWEH fearing wife can help bring shalom to her home, and be a tool for YAHWEH to open an unbelieving husband's eyes.

As well as to be a tool to help strengthen the belief of a believing husband.

1Peter 3:1 - Wives, likewise, [be] submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives,

There is much wisdom in this statement.

I have seen the power of this to be true in my own life

1Peter 3:2 - when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear.

There are times that the unspoken word is more powerful than the spoken.

1Peter 3:3 - Do not let your adornment be merely outward--arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel--

1Peter 3:4 - rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of YHWH.

very precious

in the sight of YHWH.

powerful

1Peter 3:5 - For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in YHWH also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands,

1Peter 3:6 - as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him master, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.

For in this manner, in former times,

the holy women who trusted in YHWH also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands,

as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him master,

whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.

1Peter 3:7 - Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the favor of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

that your prayers may not be hindered.

Hebrews 12:14 - Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see YAHWEH:

Hebrews 12:15 - looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the favor of YAHWEH; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness,

without which no one will see YAHWEH !!!

vs 15 tells us that the root of bitterness can defile many

This should enforce in ALL of us, the importance of seeking Shalom, YAHWEH's Shalom, and it starts in the home.

1Peter 3:8 - Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;

1Peter 3:9 - not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

having compassion for one another

love as brethren,

be tenderhearted,

be courteous;

not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing,

knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

inherit a blessing.

1Peter 3:10 - For "He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.

1Peter 3:11 - Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.

He who would love life and see good days,

let him seek peace and pursue it.

1Peter 3:12 - For the eyes of YHWH are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of YHWH is against those who do evil."

we see it again...

For the eyes of YHWH are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers;

1Peter 3:13 - And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?

1Peter 3:14 - But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. "And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled."

1Peter 3:15 - But set apart YHWH in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;

set apart YHWH in your hearts, and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.

We should be aware of what YAHWEH expects of us..

Genesis 3:16 - Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Romans 13:1 - Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of YHWH: the powers that be are ordained of YHWH.

Romans 13:2 - Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of YHWH: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

The concept of being submissive to higher powers is not easy to accept - if

if one has a rebellious mindset

but, when you acknowledge YAHWEH working in your life

exaltation and rebellion are to be put behind

In being in submission to her husband, a wife is acknowledging YAHWEH, acknowledging His power in her life.

Romans 7:1 - Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

Romans 7:2 - For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

Romans 7:3 - So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth;

Until death

sadly, this is not how marriage is viewed as a whole in this nation

rather, the beauty of the marriage covenant is marred by the ideal of it being disposable, and for convenience may be broken.

A marriage covenant is no longer really understood in the manner that YAHWEH intended.

Let us examine further, the role of Sarah.

Numbers 30:1 - And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which YHWH hath commanded.

Numbers 30:2 - If a man vow a vow unto YHWH, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.

Numbers 30:3 - If a woman also vow a vow unto YHWH, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father's house in her youth;

Numbers 30:4 - And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.

Numbers 30:5 - But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and YHWH shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her.

Numbers 30:6 - And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;

Numbers 30:7 - And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.

Numbers 30:8 - But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and YHWH shall forgive her.

poof!

wow

says hello to everyone !

Shalom

Shabbat Shalom all

Numbers 30:6 - And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;

Numbers 30:9 - But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her.

Numbers 30:10 - And if she vowed in her husband's house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;

Numbers 30:11 - And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.

Numbers 30:12 - But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and YHWH shall forgive her.

Numbers 30:13 - Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.

If this were not so, the husband would not be able to properly carry out the responsibility given to him, and rule his household.

Numbers 30:14 - But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.

Numbers 30:15 - But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity.

Numbers 30:16 - These are the statutes, which YHWH commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father's house.

This shows that the husband bears the sin, if he makes it void after he has confirmed it.

"then he shall bear her iniquity."

It is important to know where our focus should be

Hebrews 13:12 - Therefore Yahushua also, that He might set apart the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.

Hebrews 13:13 - Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.

Hebrews 13:14 - For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come.

we seek the one to come.

Hebrews 13:15 - Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to YAHWEH, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

Hebrews 13:16 - But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices YAHWEH is well pleased.

Hebrews 13:17 - Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices YAHWEH is well pleased.

Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account.

they will give account

Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

Let them do so with joy and not with grief

for that would be unprofitable for you.

for you..

An example of the order in a Family...

Genesis 27:8 - Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee.

Genesis 27:9 - Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth:

Genesis 27:10 - And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.

Rebekah is telling Jacob

obey my voice according to that which I command thee.

A mother to her child, her son

Genesis 27:11 - And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man:

Genesis 27:12 - My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.

Genesis 27:13 - And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.

and Jacob protested, knowing the consequences

And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.

His mother took the responsibility, and enforced the command

Just as a husband takes the resonsibility, when ruling his household

1Timothy 2:9 - In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

1Timothy 2:10 - But (which becometh women professing reverence) with good works.

1Timothy 2:11 - Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

1Timothy 2:12 - But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

1Timothy 2:13 - For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

1Timothy 2:14 - And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

1Timothy 2:15 - Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

1Corinthians 14:32 - And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

1Corinthians 14:33 - For Elohim is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all assemblies of the saints.

1Corinthians 14:34 - Let your women keep silence in the assemblies: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

the author of peace... shalom

there is peace, when this is understood in a marriage

it is a beautiful thing

when both spouses understand the importance of their role

This will be continued, focusing on Love, Mercy, judgment, faith - weightier matters of the law.

2Timothy 2:24 - And the servant of YHWH must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

2Timothy 2:25 - In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if YHWH peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

2Timothy 2:26 - And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Romans 12:21 - Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Proverbs 24:11 - If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;

Part 2 will continue this message with looking the weightier matters of the Torah, and overcoming evil with good.

YAHWEH bless you as you seek His will.
