Tonite I would like to share some scriptures which I believe will increase our faith.
Romans 10:17 - So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of YAHWEH.Tonite I would like to talk about the prophecies concerning Yahushua the Messiah
I would like to begin by saying that we have copies of most of the 'old testament' or Tanakh that have been dated BEFORE Yahushua was even born into this world
Most of the dead sea scrolls, found in 1948 predate Yahushua's coming
The Dead sea scrolls confirmed Yahweh's ability to preserve His word unto this day
For it is almost letter for letter to the copies of Hebrew scripture we have today
Because they predate Yahushua's first coming, it would be impossible (as some unbelievers might say) for these to have been written after His death, burial and resurrection
Unlike self proclaimed prophets or psychics, these prophecies actually come true 100% of the time!
Yahweh's word never fails
Isaiah 55:10 - For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
Isaiah 55:11 - So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.The first scripture that we will look at is one in Zechariah:
However we need to first learn who "The BRANCH" is
Jeremiah 33:15 - In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
Jeremiah 33:16 - In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, YAHWEH our righteousness. The BRANCH is the coming Messiah, who would be Yahushua the Messiah. There are other scriptures as well
Isaiah 11:1 - And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Isaiah 11:2 - And the spirit of YAHWEH shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YAHWEH;
Isaiah 11:3 - And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of YAHWEH: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
Isaiah 11:4 - But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
Isaiah 11:5 - And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. Here is yet another
Jeremiah 23:2 - Therefore thus saith YAHWEH Elohim of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith YAHWEH.
Jeremiah 23:3 - And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.
Jeremiah 23:4 - And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith YAHWEH.
Jeremiah 23:5 - Behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. We can see that this coming king and Messiah is called a 'Branch'
Jeremiah 23:6 - In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, YAHWEH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.There is much that could be said about "Yahweh our righteousness"...
but it basically means that it is only by Yahweh that we can attain righteousness..and this would be through the BRANCH
Now that we have established who "The Branch" is..let's look at yet another prophecy
Zechariah 6:9 - And the word of YAHWEH came unto me, saying,
Zechariah 6:10 - Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
Zechariah 6:11 - Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;Zechariah the prophet is instructed to go to the house of Josiah and make crowns
Then, he is to said is upon the head of Joshua, the son of Josedech
What is interesting is that "Joshua" in Hebrew is "Yahushua" which is the same name as the Messiah
This is important, let's continue:
Zechariah 6:12 - And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh YAHWEH of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of YAHWEH:Zechariah is told to say "Behold the man whose NAME is The BRANCH"
This man on whom the crown is placed has the NAME of the Branch!
This man's name is the branch!
"Yahushua"!
Thus, the Messiah's name was accurately predicted in the book of Zechariah
Now let's examine another place where Yahushua is written of:
Here, I would like to just let the scriptures speak for themselves
Isaiah 52:13 - Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.Who is this Servant to be exalted and extolled very high?
Matthew 28:18 - And Yahushua came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Revelations 5:8 - Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Revelations 5:9 - And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to YAHWEH by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
Revelations 5:10 - And have made us kings and priests to our Elohim; and we shall reign on the earth."Back to Isaiah
Isai 52:14 Just as many were astonished at you....
Matthew 7:28 - And it came to pass, when Yahushua had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
Isai 52:14 - ......So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men
Matthew 26:67 - Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,
Matthew 26:68 - Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Messiah, Who is he that smote thee?Continuing in Isaiah
Isaiah 52:15 - So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.fulfillment:
Hebrews 9:13 - For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sets apart for the purifying of the flesh,
Hebrews 9:14 - how much more shall the blood of the Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to Elohim, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohim?
Acts 2:33 - Therefore being by the right hand of YAHWEH exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
Acts 2:34 - For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, YAHWEH said unto my master, Sit thou on my right hand,
Acts 2:35 - Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
Acts 2:36 - Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that YAHWEH hath made that same Yahushua, whom ye have crucified, both King and Messiah.
Acts 2:37 - Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Kepha and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Acts 2:38 - Then Kepha said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Yahushua the Messiah for the forgiveness of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.back to Isaiah
Isaiah 53:1 - Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of YAHWEH revealed?Yahweh knew that many would not believe
John 12:37 - But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
John 12:38 - That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, YAHWEH, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of YAHWEH been revealed?
Isaiah 53:2 - For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.One need only read Luke chapter 2 to find this prophecy fulfilled
It is a bit out of the scope of this chat room to read it all here
Isaiah 53:3 - He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
John 8:48 - Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?
John 8:49 - Yahushua answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
Mark 15:17 - And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,
Mark 15:18 - And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
Mark 15:19 - And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.
Mark 15:20 - And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him."A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief"
Matthew 26:37 - And he took with him Kepha and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
Matthew 26:38 - Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
Matthew 26:39 - And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."And we hid, as it were, [our] faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him."
Many of the Jews today teach that this servant in Isaiah is the Jews or Israel
If this prophecy is speaking of the Jewish people as many Jews say, who is it that is hiding their faces from this servant?
Who is it that is not esteeming Him? Isaiah says "We" (identifying himself with the Jews)
Acts 3:13 - The Elohim of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the Elohim of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Yahushua; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
Acts 3:14 - But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
Acts 3:15 - And killed the Prince of life, whom YAHWEH hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.Praise Yahweh, many Jews are coming to the Messiah in these latter days
Isai 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows...
Isai 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows...
Matthew 8:16 - When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
Isai 53:4 ......Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by Elohim, and afflicted
John 19:7 - The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of Elohim.
Isaiah 53:5 - But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Here Isaiah declares why this Servant had to endure all these things. It is clear that He had to endure these things because of what Yahweh says are "our" iniquities
Here is what Yahushua said to those who walked with Him:
Matthew 20:27 - And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
Matthew 20:28 - Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Ephesians 5:2 - And walk in love, as the Messiah also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to YAHWEH for a sweet-smelling aroma.
1Peter 2:21 - For to this you were called, because the Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
1Peter 2:22 - "Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth";
1Peter 2:23 - who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;
1Peter 2:24 - who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.
1Peter 2:25 - For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.which leads us to the next verse in Isaiah:
Isaiah 53:6 - All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and YAHWEH hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Matthew 27:12 - And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.
Matthew 27:13 - Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?
Isaiah 53:7 - He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Matthew 27:14 - And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
Isaiah 53:8 - He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken."He was taken from prison and from judgment,"
Matthew 26:65 - Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.
Matthew 26:66 - What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death."For He was cut off from the land of the living"
"For the transgressions of My people He was stricken"
Notice that here it says that the Messiah will be cut off. This is in agreement with the prophecy in Daniel 9. Also notice that it says "For the transgressions of My people He was stricken."
Daniel 9:26 - And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.Back to Isaiah:
Isai 53:9 - And they made His grave with the wicked--But with the rich at His death....
Matthew 27:57 - When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Yahushua ' disciple:
Matthew 27:58 - He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Yahushua . Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
Matthew 27:59 - And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
Matthew 27:60 - And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
Isaiah 53:9 ...Because He had done no violence, Nor [was] [any] deceit in His mouth..."
Matthew 26:52 - Then said Yahushua unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
Matthew 2:21 - And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
1Peter 2:21 - For to this you were called, because the Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
1Peter 2:22 - "Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth";
Isaiah 53:10 - Yet it pleased YAHWEH to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of YAHWEH shall prosper in his hand. The fact that Yahweh made His soul an offering for sin is well established. Consider the timing of His death. At the exact time of the Passover sacrifice. And His resurrection perhaps on the day of firstfruits.
Unbelievers say this Servant is "Israel" Since when has Israel made it's soul an offering for sin? That is not sound doctrine
John 3:16 - For YAHWEH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 - For YAHWEH sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 6:39 - And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
John 6:40 - And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.Oh how I love Yahushua's words...Just awesome..HalleluYah!
Hebrews 12:1 - Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares [us], and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Isaiah 53:12 - Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Hebrews 9:28 - so the Messiah was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
Isai 53:12 .....And made intercession for the transgressors
Romans 8:33 - Who shall lay any thing to the charge of YAHWEH's elect? It is YAHWEH that justifieth.
Romans 8:34 - Who is he that condemneth? It is the Messiah that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of YAHWEH, who also maketh intercession for us.
Hebrews 7:25 - Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to YAHWEH through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
1John 2:1 - My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Yahushua the Messiah the righteous. There is no man ever born who could have fulfilled all these prophecies purposely
How can one choose his place of birth?
Micah 5:2 - But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. It was the common thought in those days that the Messiah would come and take over the world
But little did (most of them) know
