HalleluYah!! Thank you all for being here :) As Watchman said, We openly welcome all who hunger and thirst after righteousness.! And tonite I want to talk about what I believe to be 'righteousness' and what I believe to be 'sin' From the beginning, Yahweh looked with favor upon the righteous:
Genesis 7:1 - And YAHWEH said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
Noah and his family were saved because of righteousness Also Abraham..
Genesis 15:5 - And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.:6 - And he believed in YAHWEH; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
It wasn't an empty belief, it was backed up by action and works..
Genesis 18:19 - For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of YAHWEH, to do justice and judgment; that YAHWEH may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
Yahweh is righteous!
Deuteronomy 32:4 - He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a Elohim of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Psalms 40:10 - I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
Even Pharoah acknowledged that!
Exodus 9:27 - And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: YAHWEH is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
As did Yahshua
John 17:25 - O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
What is righteousness ?

Quite a definition!What do the scriptures say? The scriptures say that keeping the Torah/LAW is righteousness
Deuteronomy 6:25 - And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before YAHWEH our Elohim, as he hath commanded us.
Notice it says "All these" not just a part here or there
Psalms 19:9 - The fear of YAHWEH is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of YAHWEH are true and righteous altogether.
His word is His law...His word is righteous!!
Psalms 119:123 - Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
Psalms 119:172 - My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.
all thy commandments :)
Psalms 119:160 - Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
every one?? forever? :)) Even in Yahshua's day The parents of John the baptist...
Luke 1:5 - There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.:6 - And they were both righteous before YAHWEH, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of YAHWEH blameless.
Now I feel certain that the scriptures teach that the opposite of righteousness is unrighteousness or sin
Romans 6:15 - What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under favor? By no means.:16 - Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Here we see that Sin and righteousness are opposites. Sin leads to death and obedience leads to righteousness.Here is another verse showing that sin is simply "unrighteousness"
1John 5:17 - All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.
This brings us to the question of what exactly is sin?Well, if obedience to the law is righteousness...transgression of the law is sin/unrighteousness
1John 3:4 - Whoever commits sin trangresses also the law, for sin is the transgression of the law.:5 - And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.:6 - Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.:7 - Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.:8 - He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of YAHWEH was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.:9 - Whoever has been born of YAHWEH does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of YAHWEH.:10 - In this the children of YAHWEH and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of YAHWEH, nor is he who does not love his brother.
So again, clearly transgression of the law is sin... obedience to His law is righteousness Let us look at verse 4 again:
1John 3:4 - Whoever commits sin trangresses also the law, for sin is the transgression of the law.
According to Strong's greek lexicon, the word that is translated "lawlessness" here means...
Anomia, From 459; illegality, i.e. in violation of the law or (gen.) wickedness
For a second witness, we see that Thayers lexicon also admits this:
Thayers # 459 459 anomos {an'-om-os} from 1 (as a negative particle) and 3551; TDNT - 4:1086,646; adj AV - without law 4, transgressor 2, wicked 2, lawless 1, unlawful 1; 10

I meant to say that this is the word that is translated 'transgression of the law' anomos
There is a fascinating word study that can be done when we examine all the verses that this word is translated to. So now that we know what sin is, what about all those that seem to say His law need not be kept by His people? Yahweh forbid!!! His law is what tells us what sin is! So all the scriptures that we see that tell us not to sin, to live righteously.. We should know that the very definition of living righteously is to live according to His law. But have we failed? His law includes a provision for that also! It's called MERCY. Yahweh is righteous, therefore He has mercy. Being merciful is a part of being righteous.. and mercy is a part of His law!
Matthew 23:23 - Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
"the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith" Did Yahshua condemn them for keeping the finer points? no He said these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.! We also must practice mercy! But on some, mercy doesn't work because they don't care :(
Isaiah 26:10 - Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of YAHWEH.
We see many examples of this today. We hear plenty of messages from mainstream Christianity telling us about His grace and mercy... And that's great...but There are but very messages on living righteously by living according to His law. very few messages I meant to say Some even go so far to say that His law is a burden and need not even be kept! This is so far from the truth that it is ridiculous! Now here is an interesting scripture:
2Thessalonians 2:7 - For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
Guess what word "iniquity" comes from in this verse? You guessed it, ANOMIA (violation/transgression of the law)
2Thessalonians 2:8 - And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom YAHSHUA shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming::9 - Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,:10 - And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.:11 - And for this cause YAHWEH shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:12 - That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Not believing the truth.... = unrighteousness ! Many say to me, oh look at all the wonderful miracles that are done! How can all these people be deceived, do not the miracles testify that they are walking in righteousness and are accepted by Yahweh? Some are... But let's remember Yahshua's words:

Matthew 7:21 - Not every one that saith unto me, Rabbi, Rabbi, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.:22 - Many will say to me in that day, Rabbi, Rabbi, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?:23 - And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Guess what word this is that is translated "iniquity"? You guessed it, ANOMIA (transgression/violation of the law). Brothers and sisters let us not be decieved by the so called miracles. On judgement day, they mean NOTHING.
Revelations 14:12 - Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of YAHWEH and the faith of YAHSHUA.
Don't be afraid of those who call you a legalist and condemn you for trying to walk as Yahshua walked, it is out of love for HIM, their condemnation is not from Yahweh.Where do we ever see Yahweh condemning someone for walking in righteousness by doing as He commanded? Yahshua is the example, if He kept the Sabbath, KEEP IT If He kept the feast days, KEEP IT If He kept all the commandments, by all means DO THEM and surely Yahweh will be with you!
John 8:29 - And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
Now I say this with one reservation. Let us remember that we have not been perfect. Yahshua was and is perfect, therefore since we have sinned by transgressing the law (Yes, we all have!!), it is thru Yahshua that we are made righteous!
Romans 5:18 - Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.:19 - For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Isn't this awesome!?!! Yahweh not only gives us righteous commandments that teach us how to love one another and to love Him but He also has given us His SON who has redeemed us, sanctified us and washed away our sins so that we are pure and blameless in His sight! Not only that, He gave us His Son to be our example of HOW to keep His commanmdents! WHAT A BLESSING!!!!!!! HALLELUYAH!!! Now we don't need to walk around in gloom for our past failures to live according to His law but now we are free...free...FREE...to.... Transgress His law again???? PLEASE NO :(( Is that not insulting the spirit of grace?
Romans 6:15 - What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under favor? By no means.:16 - Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Let us show our thanksgiving and love for Him by hungering and thirsting for righteousness by Keeping His commandments as He has said!! Yahweh has promised to lead us in that path of righteousness when we seek:
Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of YAHWEH, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 5:6 - Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Let us live according to the Spirit, Yahshua's words are Spirit!
John 6:63 - It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Yahshua is the word and anyone who say that ANY part of His word doesn't matter today might as well be saying that Yahshua doesn't matter!! The law IS spiritual!
Romans 7:14 - For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
His word is Spirit, let us not fail to live according to the Spirit but let us die to the flesh
Romans 8:5 - For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.:6 - For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.:7 - Because the carnal mind is enmity against YAHWEH: for it is not subject to the law of YAHWEH, neither indeed can be.
Like David, I have found this to be true of Yahweh our Elohim:
Psalms 23:3 - He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Truly, He has done this. For His name's sake. He doesn't want people who are seeking Him and are called by His name to be lead into unrighteousness, He loves His name. HalleluYah because I do too!! May Yahweh bless you all and grant you peace and truth!
