YermeYah - HalleluYAH

EliYah's message:

HalleluYah!
Tonight I would like to talk about the importance of "Trusting in Yahweh"

Psalms 62:8 - Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: Elohim is a refuge for us. Selah.

All throughout scripture we are told that we should trust in Yahweh.
The importance of trust cannot be underestimated. As last week we quoted the scripture:

Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in YAHWEH with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

There is a lot to be said in this scripture.
Much of what can hinder trust revolves around what is perhaps the greatest enemy of trust, that is "Fear".

Psalms 112:5 - A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Psalms 112:6 - Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

Psalms 112:7 - He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in YAHWEH.

Fear is related to a lack of faith. I believe that fear is in many ways equal to Atheism.
When we lack faith in Yahweh due to our fears, we do not believe that Yahweh exists and that His promises to deliver us are true. This is dangerous ground.
However there is a good kind of fear and a bad kind of fear as Yahshua illustrates:

Matthew 10:28 - And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Fear in and of itself is not necessrily bad thing. But it is "what" or rather "who" we fear that is what is important.
Fear or Reverent Awe of Yahweh is good, but fear of man is not! Again, I say that this is dangerous ground! Consider the example of King Saul:

1Samuel 15:18 - And YAHWEH sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

1Samuel 15:19 - Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of YAHWEH, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of YAHWEH?

1Samuel 15:20 - And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of YAHWEH, and have gone the way which YAHWEH sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

1Samuel 15:21 - But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto YAHWEH thy Elohim in Gilgal.

1Samuel 15:22 - And Samuel said, Hath YAHWEH as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of YAHWEH? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

1Samuel 15:23 - For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of YAHWEH, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

1Samuel 15:24 - And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of YAHWEH, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

Now read carefully Saul's motive...he "feared the people" rather than fearing Yahweh!!
It was for this cause that Saul rebelled (which in Yahweh's eyes is as idolatry) and only partially obeyed Yahweh.

Proverbs 29:25 - The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in YAHWEH shall be safe.

The fear of man I think drives many a doctrine
But consider Jeremiah's warning:

Jeremiah 17:5 - Thus saith YAHWEH; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from YAHWEH.

Jeremiah 17:6 - For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

Jeremiah 17:7 - Blessed is the man that trusteth in YAHWEH, and whose hope YAHWEH is.

Jeremiah 17:8 - For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Jeremiah 17:10 - I YAHWEH search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Yahweh wants to know, in whom will we trust?
For those of you who have come to this meeting tonite seeking someone in whom you may trust, I invite you to seek Yahweh. Only He is worthy of our trust!
Yahweh wants to know, in whom will we trust? Will we trust in ourselves?
Will we trust in our ability to seek knowledge? Our own capabilities?
This is what the world teaches us..'you just have to believe in yourself'.
But Yahweh's word says:

Proverbs 28:26 - He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

For a time it may seem that our trusting in Yahweh is without good reason.
Due to circumstances and events
Some may even ridicule us, as they did Yahshua, who also experienced the testing of Yahweh in this:

Psalms 22:1 - My El, my El, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

This He quoted while being impaled on the tree

Psalms 22:2 - O my Elohim, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

Psalms 22:3 - But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Psalms 22:4 - Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

Psalms 22:5 - They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

Yahweh always prevails in the end.
We know where Yahshua is now...at the right hand of the Father. He trusted in Yahweh!!!
In whom did David place his trust when fighting Goliath? In swords and armor?

1Samuel 17:38 - And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.

1Samuel 17:39 - And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.

1Samuel 17:40 - And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.

No..he trusted in Yahweh:

1Samuel 17:45 - Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of YAHWEH of hosts, the Elohim of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

1Samuel 17:46 - This day will YAHWEH deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a Elohim in Israel.

And HE did. It didn't seem so at first, but in the end..Yahweh always prevails.
We should not trust in the swords of men.
We should commit our trust in the sword of Yahweh! For if we can trust in Yahweh, we can also trust in His word:

Psalms 119:42 - So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.

When we read something in His word, we can trust that it is truth.
His word does not fail. As Yahshua said "The Scripture cannot be broken"
When we read the news, or listen to the radio or even listen to sermons..we hear the words of man and must filter them in light of the truth.
But when we hear or read the words of Yahweh, we KNOW they are true! What a blessing! We can have 100% confidence that Yahweh IS truth and His word IS truth:

John 17:17 - Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Therefore brethren, let us trust in Yahweh and in His word for Yahshua has shown us that Yahweh is trustworthy and so is His word!
This seems such a simple concept, but it is often difficult for us to obtain.
But even if we have failed Yahweh, we can trust that He is merciful!
The psalmist had no choice but to trust in Yahweh's mercy

Psalms 13:5 - But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

Likewise, we have no choice but to trust in His great mercy. We have failed Him and it is the only hope we have.
Yahweh's word declares He is merciful, it is up to us to believe in it!

Nahum 1:7 - YAHWEH is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Remember that it was lack of trust that the children of Israel murmured against Moshe and murmured against Yahweh in the wilderness.
This lead to Yahweh not allowing them to inherit the promised land. Oh how important trust is!!
Let's look again at the scripture:

Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in YAHWEH with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

"lean not unto thine own understanding." This is where many fail. We encounter situations that are BEYOND our understanding and try to explain their cause and effect.
For instance, a question often asked are "Why does Yahweh let babies be tortured and die?" We simply can't fully explain why.
Job was an excellent example. Yahweh called him 'a blameless and upright man'. Yet fire from heaven destroyed all he had and he was afflicted with much pains.
Job wanted to know, "WHY??"

Job 3:11 - Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly?

Job 3:12 - Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck?

Job 3:13 - For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,

In that last few chapters of Job, Yahweh doesn't really give Job an answer.
He simply shows that His ways are so much higher than our ways that we simply can't comprehend all that takes place!
We can only see the past and present tense, we cannot see the future.
We can only see what is in our immediate locale, but Yahweh sees everything!
For Yahweh to explain all that goes on in His presence would be likened to trying to explain to an ant how a computer works!
Some things are just "beyond our understanding" and we simply MUST accept that! So again we should:

Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in YAHWEH with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Just because we don't understand something, it does not mean that Yahweh is not merciful or His word is not truth!
So what must we do?
next verse..

Proverbs 3:6 - In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

HalleluYah!
Let's trust in the everlasting strength of Yahweh!

Isaiah 26:4 - Trust ye in YAHWEH for ever: for in YAH YAHWEH is everlasting strength:

Let's trust in the lovingkindness of Yahweh!

Psalms 36:7 - How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O Elohim! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

Let's trust in the riches of Yahweh, not the riches of men!

1Timothy 6:17 - Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living Elohim, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

Youths, trust in Yahweh!

Psalms 71:5 - For thou art my hope, O Sovereign YAHWEH: thou art my trust from my youth.

You who seek Yahweh, trust in Him!

Psalms 9:10 - And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, YAHWEH, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Trust in Yahweh who has delivered us from death!

2Corinthians 1:9 - indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves in order that we should not trust in ourselves, but in YAHWEH who raises the dead;

2Corinthians 1:10 - who delivered us from so great a death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us,

No matter what happens...Trust in Yahweh!!

Job 13:15 - Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

HalleluYah! For those who trust in Yahweh shall obtain mercy!

Psalms 32:10 - Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in YAHWEH, mercy shall compass him about.

Those who trust in Yahweh will be delivered!

Psalms 37:40 - And YAHWEH shall help them and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Has He not been made 'righteousness for us'?
Those who trust in Yahweh will have perfect peace!

Isaiah 26:3 - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Those who trust in Yahweh will rejoice!

Psalms 5:11 - But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

Proverbs 16:20 - He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in YAHWEH, happy is he.

Those who trust in Yahweh will have even the desires of their heart granted!

Psalms 37:3 - Trust in YAHWEH, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Psalms 37:4 - Delight thyself also in YAHWEH; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Brothers and sisters, examine THIS promise!

Psalms 125:1 - They that trust in YAHWEH shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

Psalms 125:2 - As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so YAHWEH is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

Don't we all want to abide with Yahweh forever?
Then Trust in Yahweh, for there is nobody like Him and it is He that is truly worthy of our trust!!
Remember where Yahshua is. Let be that in times of trouble, we will always focus on the Father...not on the Famine!
Let it be that in gladness, sadness, sickness or in health..on good days, bad days, Sabbath days and Everyday, we will..
Trust
in
Yahweh!
For then His rewards await us...May Yahweh bless you all!
