Isaiah 5:20 - Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Proverbs 17:15 - He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to YAHWEH.

Malachi 2:17 - Ye have wearied YAHWEH with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of YAHWEH, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the Elohim of judgment?

Luke 11:35 - Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

Where might we find direction in what is good, what is light, what is wrong and what is right?

Is it possible at all for Yahweh to consider a certain sin to be an abomination in one time period, but not an abomination in another time period?

Does Yahweh have a double standard?

Does He change His mind about what is abominable and what is not?

I have noticed that there are some things in Yahweh's word that He says not to do..but then it seems there are some things that are total, outright abominations.

While we do not want to sin...we want to be particularly certain that we do not commit any abominations to Yahweh

I'm going to share some scriptures that detail the kinds of things that are considered to be "abominations" to Yahweh

First, we see that to eat unclean animals is an abomination to him

Leviticus 11:12 - Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

Leviticus 11:10 - And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:

Leviticus 11:11 - They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.

Leviticus 11:12 - Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

Leviticus 11:20 - All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.

Leviticus 11:41 - And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten.

Leviticus 11:43 - Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.

Could this be possible???

I think not

Now the following scriptures are from a different Hebrew word:

08441 tow`ebah {to-ay-baw'} or to`ebah {to-ay-baw'} act part of 08581; TWOT - 2530a; n f AV - abomination 113, abominable thing 2, abominable 2; 117

1) a disgusting thing, abomination, abominable

1a) in ritual sense (of unclean food, idols, mixed marriages)

1b) in ethical sense (of wickedness etc)

Here are the scriptures that use this word for "abomination"

Leviticus 201:3 -

Leviticus 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Leviticus 18:22 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Leviticus 18:23 - Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

Leviticus 18:24 - Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:

Leviticus 18:25 - And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

Leviticus 18:26 - Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:

Leviticus 18:27 - (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)

We know that these kinds of abominations are occuring today, throughout the United States and in other countries

Recently Canada approved "Gay marriages"

The USA is likely on its way to approving the same

50 years ago, this would have been an abomination even in Canada

But somehow its not an abomination any more

Did the standard change...

or did the people change?

Do we not see a tendency?

Here is a scripture showing why the observance of Christmas is an abomination:

Deuteronomy 12:29 - When YAHWEH thy Elohim shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;

Deuteronomy 12:30 - Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their elohim, saying, How did these nations serve their elohim? even so will I do likewise.

Deuteronomy 12:31 - Thou shalt not do so unto YAHWEH thy Elohim: for every abomination to YAHWEH, which he hateth, have they done unto their elohim; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their elohim.

We should not worship Yahweh in the same way that another nation worshiped their deities

We should worship Him in the way that He desires

Don't worship Yahweh with a pagan tradition! Don't take a pagan custom and apply it to the worship of Yahweh!

Deuteronomy 12:32 - What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

nor should we take away

Yahweh has His commanded observances, why would we need to add observances that have roots in paganism?

Deuteronomy 17:2 - If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which YAHWEH thy Elohim giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of YAHWEH thy Elohim, in transgressing his covenant,

Deuteronomy 17:3 - And hath gone and served other elohim, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;

Deuteronomy 17:4 - And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:

Deuteronomy 17:5 - Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

But then they began to practice its Dec. 25th celebrations

Did the Standard change...

or did the people change?

Today people say "It doesn't mean that anymore"

In what year did it become acceptable to bring idolatrous things into the worship of Yahweh?

400 AD? 1000 AD? 2000AD?

Beware lest we also have an idol hidden in our hearts

or in our homes

Deuteronomy 7:26 - Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

Anytime we put our will or mans will above Yahweh's will, we commit self idolatry

For we are setting ourselves up as elohim..the very heart of Satan's sin

Deuteronomy 18:9 - When thou art come into the land which YAHWEH thy Elohim giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

Deuteronomy 18:10 - There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

Now it is the worldwide best selling book

Deuteronomy 18:11 - Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

Deuteronomy 18:12 - For all that do these things are an abomination unto YAHWEH: and because of these abominations YAHWEH thy Elohim doth drive them out from before thee.

Yet these abominations are very present today

Notice that Saul the King died soon after trying to consult Samuel thru a medium..

1Chronicles 10:13 - So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against YAHWEH, even against the word of YAHWEH, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it;

Deuteronomy 22:5 - The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto YAHWEH thy Elohim.

Deuteronomy 23:18 - Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of YAHWEH thy Elohim for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto YAHWEH thy Elohim.

Ever notice that churchianity says the Sabbath is abolished because it is not repeated in the New Testament, but then neither does it say in the New Testament that we should tithe to a "church"

Deuteronomy 24:1 - When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

Deuteronomy 24:2 - And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.

Deuteronomy 24:3 - And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;

Deuteronomy 24:4 - Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before YAHWEH: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which YAHWEH thy Elohim giveth thee for an inheritance.

Deuteronomy 25:15 - But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which YAHWEH thy Elohim giveth thee.

Proverbs 11:1 - A false balance is abomination to YAHWEH: but a just weight is his delight.

Proverbs 11:20 - They that are of a froward heart are abomination to YAHWEH: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

Now here are some interesting verses:

Proverbs 6:16 - These six things doth YAHWEH hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

Proverbs 6:17 - A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

Proverbs 6:18 - An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

Proverbs 6:19 - A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

It is written that a big reason Yahweh kicked Judah out of the land was because they had shed innocent blood

2Kings 24:3 - Surely at the commandment of YAHWEH came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;

2Kings 24:4 - And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which YAHWEH would not pardon.

In this nation...TRULY the spirit of Molech is in full force with Abortions

Every year in the USA alone, well 1 out of 4 babies are murdered by their own mother

(Well over 1 out of 4)

Why? Usually it is so that they might continue to serve the idol of self

In Russia, there are 200 abortions for every 100 births

In a prior age, such a thing would have been an abomination

Proverbs 12:22 - Lying lips are abomination to YAHWEH: but they that deal truly are his delight.

Proverbs 8:6 - Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

Proverbs 8:7 - For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

Here is an interesting verse:

Proverbs 17:15 - He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to YAHWEH.

It also reminds me of those who condemn others because they don't believe the same way they do or because of a false accusation

Many times in my walk I've seen this... a person accuses someone falsely, then condemns them over it

Then others join in and justify the accuser

False accusations spread like cancer

Proverbs 21:27 - The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?

What is the sacrifice of the wicked?

We read in scripture that Yahweh can not endure a sinner making a sacrifice unto Him..it is vain.

For instance..

Isaiah 1:11 - To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith YAHWEH: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

Isaiah 1:12 - When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

Isaiah 1:13 - Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

It's like one who sins all day long, then spending an evening in worship without even repenting

Or one who sins all week long, then goes to worship Yahweh on the Sabbath or on Sunday.. wanting to be "In His presence"

It's an abomination

1Samuel 15:22 - And Samuel said, Hath YAHWEH as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of YAHWEH? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

More abominations..

Isaiah 66:17 - They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith YAHWEH.

I wouldn't want to be the one eating the abominations

More abominations..

Ezekiel 8:5 - Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.

Ezekiel 8:6 - He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.

Ezekiel 8:7 - And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.

Ezekiel 8:8 - Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.

Ezekiel 8:9 - And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.

Ezekiel 8:10 - So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.

Ezekiel 8:11 - And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.

Ezekiel 8:12 - Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, YAHWEH seeth us not; YAHWEH hath forsaken the earth.

Ezekiel 8:13 - He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.

We are just as foolish if we do not realize that every work we do is not written down

We are just as foolish if we do not realize that every work we do IS written down

Ecclesiastes 12: -

Ecclesiastes 12:14 - For Elohim shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. .

Ezekiel 8:13 - He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.

Some say that all sin is equal.. that no sin is worse than another.. but that is not so according to Yahweh

Ezekiel 8:14 - Then he brought me to the door of the gate of YAHWEH's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.

Ezekiel 8:15 - Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.

Ezekiel 8:16 - And he brought me into the inner court of YAHWEH's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of YAHWEH, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of YAHWEH, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

We should praise Yahweh that He has had mercy on us and revealed the light... and pray that He would reveal any other wickedness

Ezekiel 8:17 - Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.

Ezekiel 43:8 - In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger.

We must walk in righteousness and sincerely repent if we do fail

We must seek Yahweh's will diligently

We know that His will for us is written in Scripture

And the so-called "New Testament" confirms!

2Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of YAHWEH, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2Timothy 3:17 - That the man of YAHWEH may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

1. Given by inspiration of YAHWEH

2. Profitable for doctrine

3. Profitable for reproof

4. Profitable for correction

5. Profitable for instruction in righteousness

What scripture was Paul talking about to Timothy?

There was no new testament written yet

He is even speaking of the scriptures Timothy learned as a child:

2Timothy 3:15 - And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Yahushua ha Mashiach.

"Able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Yahushua ha Mashiach"

So that we may be perfect

Thoroughly furnished unto all good works

All the above is true with all scripture, including the "Old Testament"

Today we are told to turn our ear away from the law

Today we are told to turn our ear away from the law because it's abolished now

Scripture says:

Proverbs 28:9 - He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

To take heed to the old way..

the way that has not changed

The way that stands through the ages

The way that remains in spite of how often people want to change

Jeremiah 6:16 - Thus saith YAHWEH, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Let's ask for the old paths, where is the good way

AND walk therein!

Let's not be among those who say "We will not walk therein"

Yahweh wants to grant us wisdom:

We only need to ask

James 1:5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of YAHWEH, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Deuteronomy 4:6 - Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

But know this:

Proverbs 29:27 - An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

Who will be like the psalmist in these verses:

Psalms 119:131 - I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.

Psalms 119:132 - Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

Psalms 119:133 - Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Psalms 119:134 - Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.

Psalms 119:135 - Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.

Psalms 119:136 - Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.

Revelation 21:23 - The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of YAHWEH illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

Revelation 21:24 - And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.

Revelation 21:25 - Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there).

Revelation 21:26 - And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.

Revelation 21:27 - But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
