The message this erev shabbat is about "love", by THIS shall all men know we are Yahshua's disciples...
Plain and simple, our OWN love is not enough! we NEED the love of Yahweh! There are three ways we can show and know the love of Yahweh
1. Love one another
2. Live His love
3. Study those who do NOT have HIS love and not follow them
2cor 13:14
- The pardon of the Master YAHSHUA the Messiah, and the love of YAHWEH, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Have peace and unity, and His love will be with thee
2Corinthians 13:7 - Now we pray to YAHWEH that you do no wrong; not that we ourselves may appear approved, but that you may do what is right, even though we should appear unapproved.
2Corinthians 13:8 - For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
2Corinthians 13:9 - For we rejoice when we ourselves are weak but you are strong; this we also pray for, that you be made complete.It is not enough to SEEM approved, as is the manner of some.....but we must strive to actually BE approved of Yahweh. This is done by loving the brethren We who teach the Word of Yahweh must be willing to be made a reproach, if we are to succeed at strengthening the brethren
2Corinthians 13:10 - For this reason I am writing these things while absent, in order that when present I may not use severity, in accordance with the authority which YAHWEH gave me, for building up and not for tearing down.
2Corinthians 13:11 - Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the Elohim of love and peace shall be with you.
2Corinthians 13:12 - Greet one another with a holy kiss.there it is! the love of Yahweh!!We need to love one another, SINCE He loved us first
1John 4:7 - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of YAHWEH; and everyone who loves is born of YAHWEH and knows YAHWEH.
1John 4:8 - He who does not love does not know YAHWEH, for YAHWEH is love.
1John 4:9 - In this the love of YAHWEH was manifested toward us, that YAHWEH has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.If we do NOT love the brethren, whom He hath called, and put His Spirit into, we cannot say He is in us. We would be deceiving ourselves, for His very nature is love. We are of His household. Sibling rivalry hath no place!
1John 4:10 - In this is love, not that we loved YAHWEH, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1John 4:11 - Beloved, if YAHWEH so loved us, we also ought to love one another.Indeed, He is the propitiation for ALL the sins in the world....but many will not come under that payment. Dear brethren, let us not be counted amongst them. Let us not be as the Pharisees, who as religious as they were, were told their hearts were not with Him. They shall not enter When we love the brethren, WE KNOW His love is in us!
1John 3:11 - For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,
1John 3:12 - not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.
1John 3:13 - Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you.Cain, who told Yahweh he was not his brother's keeper, is a very poor example for us. Indeed, we must ALWAYS be our brother's keeper!Have WE ever been hated because our works were righteous? If so, rejoice! Know that we are followers of His dear Son!!!! say "HalleluYAH"!
1John 3:14 - We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.
1John 3:15 - Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
1John 3:16 - By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.There is the "acid test" of who a believer is! Not because we belong to the right assembly! Not because we have ALL our doctrines or life practices perfect. But, because we have His love in us and we share it with those who are His!
It is not in the Bible, but I think it is quite Scriptural: "The love in your hearts was not put there to stay. Love is not love 'till you give it away"!
1John 3:17 - But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of YAHWEH abide in him?
1John 3:18 - My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
1John 3:19 - And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.There it is again! "The love of Yahweh"! Let us love...for REAL! Not just with our tongues! But with our whole heart and being! With our substance with which He hath blessed us with! We must use discernment as to HOW to express that love, however.
Jude 1:15 - "to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are wicked among them of all their wicked deeds which they have wickedly commited, and of all the harsh things which wicked sinners have spoken against Him."
Jude 1:16 - These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage.You see, he is coming...Yahshua is coming! (HalleluYAH!) and He wishes all to follow Him! HE loves the brethren. He gave up quite a bit more than WE have ever been expected to. Let us follow His example...when it is not convenient. When others do not love us! Do we revile at our friends? Our co-workers? The unsaved? Perhaps even our own mates????
This ought not be! We have been called to be like unto Him! Him who reviled not. Who repayed not evil for evil! ("but you don't know my husband!") ("but you don't know my wife") ("but you don't know my _______") NO! I sure don't! But I *DO* know Yahshua! He is convincing ALL who will hear His voice to follow His walk!
Jude 1:17 - But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Saviour Yahushua the Messiah:
Jude 1:18 - how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own wicked lusts.
Jude 1:19 - These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.But persons who believe not that He is REALLY coming will be in for a surprise! The world thinks things will continue as they have. The churches think He tarries. Many in our own assemblies, even, have stopped looking for His Mighty, blessed appearing!But see? They are those who are SENSUAL...who go by the senses. Only those things they can taste, touch, feel, smell, and study from their scholarly commentaries!
But, WE......
Jude 1:20 - But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Jude 1:21 - keep yourselves in the love of YAHWEH, looking for the mercy of our Saviour Yahushua the Messiah unto eternal life.
Jude 1:22 - And on some have compassion, making a distinction;Let us, dear ones, keep ourselves in that Mighty love of Yahweh! vs. 22 tells us that some of those around us need "compassion". They are weaker. Perhaps new believers. Perhaps seasoned believers in a rough time. Whatever the case, they need our strength and we must forbear with their infirmities.
Romans 15:1 - We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves."Be good to everybody. Everybody's having a hard time" -Unknown radio preacher from York, PA :-) Now, others need what is known in the modern vernacular as "tough love'!
Jude 1:23 - but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.
Jude 1:24 - Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
Jude 1:25 - To the only wise Elohim or Saviour, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever.Yes....we MUST have discernment, as to HOW we deal with our dear, precious brethren whom Yahweh hath entrusted us with.
2. Living His love
Let us live a good testimony before others, that they may see that those who love the word are of integrity!
Titus 2:15 - These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Titus 2:16 -
Titus 2:17 -- These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
We are told to let no man despise us for following the truth. If we are despised for doing so, let us not be affected. Let us not back down, nor be fearful! He who is in us is greater! Ahmeyn???????
Titus 3:1 - Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
Titus 3:2 - To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.Let us not brag about how we broke this or that law, cheated on taxes, etc. Let us instead let our Light shine through us! That others may come to see Yahshua through us1
Titus 3:3 - For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
Titus 3:4 - But after that the kindness and love of YAHWEH our Saviour toward man appeared,We know what it was like to be unbelievers...we remember what it was like to be WEAK believers! Yahweh let us go through this, so we could feel compassion for others, knowing where they are at. Let us not harshly
condemn. Let us not "write them off" because they don't know all the doctrines WE think we know! see? the love of Yahweh HATH appeared!!!! Do we accept it? Do we give it away? Do we share it with others? Putting our own desires away, for the sake of the brethren? This is the love of Yahweh1 His love is in those who keep His commandments!
1John 2:1 - My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Yahushua the Messiah the righteous.
1John 2:2 - And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
1John 2:3 - Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.We are told to KEEP His commandments! There are commandments ALL through the Bible! We here, know about the Decalogue. but, do we also keep the ones in the NEW Testament? You know, there IS a "law of Messiah"!
Galatians 6:2 - Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of the Messiah.
1John 2:4 - He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1John 2:5 - But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of YAHWEH is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.indeed, the LOVE OF YAHWEH is perfected in us if we do! His love in us overcomes the world! HalleluYAH!!!!!!
1John 5:1 - Whoever believes that Yahushua is the Messiah is born of YAHWEH, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.
1John 5:2 - By this we know that we love the children of YAHWEH, when we love YAHWEH and keep His commandments.We need to love one another to overcome the world. We ought not to be biting and devouring one another! We need to stick together, not accusing one another quickly.
1John 5:3 - For this is the love of YAHWEH, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
1John 5:4 - For whatever is born of YAHWEH overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.
1John 5:5 - Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Yahushua is the Son of YAHWEH?So, we have seen tonight, that we need to love one another, and live His love. Let us hold fast to what we have been given, that NO man direct us away from Yahweh
2Thessalonians 2:15 - Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
2Thessalonians 2:16 - Now our Master Yahushua the Messiah himself, and YAHWEH, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through favor,
2Thessalonians 2:17 - Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
2Thessalonians 3:1 - Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of YAHWEH may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
2Thessalonians 3:2 - And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
2Thessalonians 3:3 - But YAHWEH is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
Romans 5:1 - Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with YAHWEH through our Saviour Yahushua the Messiah:
Romans 5:2 - By whom also we have access by faith into this favor wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of YAHWEH.
Romans 5:3 - And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;We are justified by FAITH. Indeed, we are called to good works. There had better not be ANY among us who say differently! And impale the Son of Yahweh afresh! ...BUT, no amount of good works can atone for our past sins.
So....let us GLORY in tribulation! Let us walk worthily of that forgiveness and justification which we have been afforded! HE suffered...WE can share in His glory...ONLY if we suffer together with HIm...WHY would Yahweh want us to suffer? Well, it is for HIs glory that we do! So we can purify our hearts and get right with Him through His chastening
Romans 5:4 - And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Romans 5:5 - And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of YAHWEH is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.see? the tribulation endured cheerfully yields PATIENCE....and after we have that, we have HOPE, since next time tribulation comes, we already know that "this too, shall pass"....then, look what comes next! "the love of Yahweh"!!!!!!!
,8 Praise Ye Yahweh!!!!!!!!We are only given His love BY His Spirit! That is the "mechanism" He uses to reach down and touch the feeble hearts of each speck of dust He calls His children!3. Study those who do NOT have HIS love and not follow them
Most of the Jews received not Yahshua! Therefore they had NOT His love!
They thought in their hearts..."WE have the Torah, WE have the Word, WE are the children of Avraham, the chosen people"....but....
- And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
They even had the Scriptures! But they had not life!
John 5:41 - I receive not honour from men.
John 5:42 - But I know you, that ye have not the love of Elohim in you.
John 5:43 - I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.they had "not the love of Elohim in" them (vs. 42)If He gave of His opinion, as did most of the religious leaders of the day, they would have received Him! He said so! But, since He came speaking only the Father's Words, they hated Him! Be ready to be hated....
IF...you do the same.
Now, a person who is not chastened of the Father, is not His Son... But, His true Sons WILL be hated. The Jews accept us not. To them, we are but "wannabees", but not born of their line (well, *I* am, but that is not the point), nor have we been given the "imprimateur" by their Rabbis
The majority of Christianity does not receive the message we bring from Elohim. To the, we are "Judaizers". However, we must keep this in our hearts! NEVER let them discourage us!! My father, a Navy man, always said, "Never give up the ship"!
They canNOT seperate us from the blessed "Love of Yahweh"!!! No matter WHAT they throw at us! Unless we allow them. Their persecution rolls off our backs, IF we are of Him, and continually close to Him in prayer, bringing EVERY thought and action captive to His commands! Let not our walk be a close second in our life. We will NOT make it , if it is!
Romans 8:31 - What shall we then say to these things? If YAHWEH be for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:32 - He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:33 - Who shall lay any thing to the charge of YAHWEH's elect? It is YAHWEH that justifieth.
Romans 8:34 - Who is he that condemneth? It is the Messiah that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of YAHWEH, who also maketh intercession for us.
Romans 8:35 - Who shall separate us from the love of the Messiah? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Romans 8:36 - As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Romans 8:37 - Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Romans 8:38 - For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Romans 8:39 - Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of YAHWEH, which is in Messiah Yahushua our Saviour.we are not just conquerors....
we are MORE than conquerors!!!!!!
Ahmeyn??????? even ANGELS cannot seperate us from the "love of Yahweh"!
Now, finally, and most importantly,...HOW MUCH DO WE LOVE
HIM?????????
Enough to give up what is near and dear to us? Enough to separate us from our idols? From our right hands? How about our eyes which cause us to sin? Would we be found to pluck them out?
1John 2:12 - I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name's sake.
1John 2:13 - I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father.Fathers....
Fathers.....those who, like the Sent-One Yahchanan who wrote these words, were very seasoned in the Word, and its applications.... To "young men"...those who are not quite wise in all things yet...
..but have the strength to be productive sons of His and leaders, whose strength is in its prime! to "little children", those who even now as we sit here have that "first love" for HIs Word. But perhaps their zeal is not yet tempered with knowledge.
1John 2:14 - I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of YAHWEH abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.
1John 2:15 - Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.What about "loving" the things in the world?????
Do WE "love" the things in the world? HOW would we know? What does it mean to "love the things in the world"?Husbands: You love your wives. Do you not? This translated to giving up ALL for her sake and safety...even your own life , if so be that it is necessary1
To LOVE your wife is to sacrifice your life for her survival. What then, is it to "love the things in the world"???? simply put, it is to give up your life in order to keep alive your sins! We , as believers, are told to admonish one another.
We are told to, with meekness, show others where they are falling. If we do, and they hear us not, they are going to be destroyed. They would give up their life to keep their sins!
If I came unto one of you and said, "hey, brother! Rock music is wrong! EVEN with Biblical lyrics!", and you said "IT's not so bad"!> What you are doing is LOVING the things in the world. Not because you LISTENED to religious rock, but becuase yu DEFENDED it. Wives: you LOVE your husbands. Do you not? What do you do when someone says something negative about your husband?
Do you not defend him? Do you not tell that person your husband is NOT ___ and __________? So, to LOVE the things in the world, is to DEFEND them, when someone says something bad about the things you like to do! Sisters, if someone said to you, "sister, make-up and fashions are wrong!", what would you do?
Would you say, "hey! they are not so bad!" or....would you prayerfully take it to Yahweh, and tell your brother, "I don't see that in the Scriptures, but *THANK YOU* for caring enough about be to tell me that" One has a carnal attitude of unteachability. The second has a Yah-like attitude, and can be brought into the kingdom of His dear Son.
Perhaps the man who criticized did not do it in the most tactful way! Perhaps he was even wrong about what he was criticizing. But what do WE do? Do we exercise the "love of Yahweh"???? Or do we instead "love the things in the world"?Giving even our lives for trinkets! Defending things which will pass in the first firestorm! Oh! Faithless wretches we are!!!!
Yahweh help us!!!!!!!!!!! Let us go on unto perfection in the LOVE OF YAHWEH!
Lest we be found to love not the Father
1John 2:16 - For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world.
1John 2:17 - And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of YAHWEH abides forever.
1John 2:18 - Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the AntiMessiah is coming, even now many antiMessiahs have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.Even so, come Master Yahshua!!!!!!
