Before we begin tonight's study I would like to make an announcement for those who have not yet heard...
Information on keeping the Feast of Tabernacles with us here in southern Missouri is now on the web site. It can be found at http://www.eliyah.com/fot2008.html . The feast will be held at a campground near Eminence, Missouri. Consider this an invitation to join us! We look forward to meeting many of you.
Tonight I would like to cover a very very important subject.
A serious study of scripture will reveal that 2000 years of tradition and teaching of men has produced the age of "Churchianity" we are in today.
And for nearly 2000 years, mainstream christianity has taught that the Torah/law of Yahweh has been abolished.
While many who attend churches are of sincere, seeking hearts. I am compelled to continue to point out this important flaw in a very foundational doctrine.
This, I will continue to do, out of love and concern. I have no desire to condemn anyone. May Yahweh open the hearts of any who read or hear this message.
There are many blessings which are being missed as a result of this teaching. The Blessed Feasts that Yahweh commands are just one of them
One might wonder what might have started such a teaching that Yahweh's law has been "Abolished."
According to scripture, Paul had predicted apostasy would come immediately:
In a conversation with the elders at Ephesus, Paul says:
Acts 20:25 - And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of YAHWEH, shall see my face no more.
Acts 20:26 - Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
Acts 20:27 - For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of YAHWEH.
Acts 20:28 - Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Spirit hath made you overseers, to feed the assembly of Elohim, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Acts 20:29 - For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Acts 20:30 - Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
A significant thing indeed.. Paul did not cease to warn them for 3 years that it was going to happen after his departing
Acts 20:31 - Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
With tears, day and night!
What was about to take place?
He made sure that everyone knew that he was pure from the blood of all men
As though he would be accused of teaching something he never taught
And Paul also told them that he did not fail to declare to them the FULL COUNSEL of Yahweh.
Most of mainstream churches only want to share one portion of the counsel of Yahweh.. that being the section of books that they have divided for themselves called "The New Testament
As one Torah observant teacher noted, the one page that sets up a modern day wall of partition between Jew and Gentile is the uninspired page called "The New Testament."
Ironically, Paul's writings are the writings most commonly used to teach that only part of Yahweh's counsel is valid today.
So in spite of Paul's declaration that he did declare all the counsel of Yahweh, some say that he taught that part of Yahweh's counsel was done away with.
But as we will see tonight, this is not the fault of Paul. For Paul had a reason to make that statement that he was pure from the blood of all men
He probably knew that his writings and words would be twisted, and turned into saying something he never intended.
Kepha also made mention of this:
2Peter 3:13 - Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
2Peter 3:14 - Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;
So we are to be found by Him in peace, and without spot and blameless.
Sadly, if you really seek to be without spot and blameless in this age, you will often be branded a "Judaizer" or a "Legalist"
But we must remember that in the coming age, Kepha/Peter says "righteousness" will dwell there. Therefore, we must seek righteousness diligently and be found without spot and blameless
With this admonition, Kepha also counseled us to remember that is through what Yahushua the Messiah has done that we receive salvation in the first place.
The balance is in understanding that we receive salvation through Yahushua's longsuffering, but we should also walk in such a way that we are without spot, and blameless.
It is interesting to note that Kepha/Peter relates "the longsuffering of our Master is salvation" to what Paul has often written
Paul's writings are full of wisdom in this matter of what Yahushua has done and how it relates to us.
Over and over again, Paul defends the work of Yahushua the Messiah as being our only hope and our only true source of being justified or being declared righteous. We aren't justified (declared righteous) by the law, and the law does not save us.
So that while we do seek to be without spot and blameless, we must also account that it is not our own righteousness that saves us, but the longsuffering of Yahushua that saves us.
However, when Paul makes those statements that we are saved only through Yahushua, Paul is often misunderstood and Kepha/Peter knew that well:
2Peter 3:16 - as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
"these things"
What are "these things?"
What things are hard to understand?
2Peter 3:15 - and consider that the longsuffering of our Master is salvation--as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,
2Peter 3:16 - as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
In context, Kepha is referring to Paul's teaching regarding "The longsuffering of our our Master is salvation"
This is so true and many agree that this wisdom that Yahweh gave Paul is often hard to understand.
So as a result of them being hard to understand... According to Kepha (Peter), His writings can easily be twisted/wrested/turned around/perverted/distorted by those who are "unlearned and unstable".
Let's look at the verse again
2Peter 3:16 - as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
Now some believe that this is referring to people like myself who believe that although Salvation can only be attained by the righteousness of Yahushua the Messiah, we should still be obedient and live a life of Torah/Law observance
Could it indeed be referring to those who believe in keeping Yahweh's law while accounting that Yahushua's longsuffering is our salvation?
Most will say that it is we who are doing the twisting/wresting/turning around/distorting, not they
This is an important question!
For two-thirds of the entire bible is at stake here!
Are we free to ignore the commandments found in the "Old Testament" (two thirds of scripture!)?
Upon examining this verse, there are at least 3 reasons why it is not Torah observant believers who are doing the twisting.
1. This scripture says it is 'those who are unlearned' who twist Paul's words. Are we who believe in keeping the commandments of Yahweh "the unlearned?" Let's see what Paul himself would say:
Romans 2:17 - Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of Elohim,
Romans 2:18 - And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
So those who are learned, knowing His will, are instructed out of the Torah/law.
Interestingly, it is the modern day mainstream teachers who often tell you to avoid reading too much of the "Old Testament", and say it's better to stick with reading the New Testament.
And if you bring a scripture out of the "Old Testament" to prove a point, they often dismiss it by saying "Well, that's just the Old Testament"
But there was no "New Testament" in those days as we have it today.
Thus, the learning Peter/Kepha was speaking of had to initially be from the Torah, Prophets and Writings (Old Testament). One needs to be learned in the other portions of scripture before one can really understand Paul to begin with!
So a good recommendation would be for a person to not be "unlearned" when reading Paul's writings. In other words, one should know the Torah before reading them. In fact, Paul often quotes from the "Old Testament" to prove his points.
Reason #2...
2. Peter interprets his own words by saying "Ye also" in the remaining verses:
2Peter 3:16 - as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
2Peter 3:17 - You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;
"Ye also" or "you also" implies that the result of the twisting is one being led away in the error of the "wicked".
In other words, don't be like those who twist the scriptures, being led away with the error of the wicked.
The word translated "Wicked" here is "athesmos". The definition of "athesmos" according to the Thayer's lexicon is as follows...
113 athesmos {ath'-es-mos} from 1 (as a negative particle) and a derivative of 5087 (in the sense of enacting); TDNT - 1:167,25; adj AV - wicked 2; 2
1) one who breaks through the restraint of law and gratifies his lusts
..
So apparently the "error" and the result of the twisting/wresting/turning around/distorting is one who breaks through the restraint of law, not one who seeks to keep the law.
So those who are twisting Paul's writings are those who are seeking to break through the restraint of law
Reason #3
3. The offenders are twisting/wresting/turning around/distorting to their "own destruction" according to the verse. It isn't the commandment keepers that will be destroyed, it is the commandment breakers.
Where does Yahweh ever say He will throw the commandment keepers into the lake of fire? Can you imagine such a thing? "Depart from me, ye who keep my commandments!"
Remember, Kepha said:
2Peter 3:13 - Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
In the context of these verses, Kepha/Peter is saying that only righteousness dwells in the new heavens and new earth. Is it the commandment keepers or commandment breakers that are found there?
Revelation 22:14 - Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:15 - But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
You see, man is being taught a huge lie today. We who believe in keeping the law of Yahweh are just trying to do what Kepha/Peter said: be found by Him without spot and blameless.
But some want to do away with Yahweh's commands... and they will use the twisting of Paul's writings to do it!
But Paul is pure from the blood of all men. He did not fail to declare the full counsel of Yahweh, old and new
Paul upheld the importance of obeying the commandments in the other two-thirds of scripture
It's amazing how perfect and beautiful the words of Yahweh will be when we understand that the bible speaks one message
Much of the confusion will come to an end, and so will a lot of false doctrine!
But Paul was often misunderstood and had to deal with false teachers all around. Much of 2Corinthians was written to defend the ministry to the Gentiles in Corinth which was under attack
The truth is that Paul never intended to teach against the keeping of Yahweh's law, for Paul himself believed in keeping the Law:
Acts 25:8 - While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.
Acts 18:21 - But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if YAHWEH will. And he sailed from Ephesus.
Romans 7:25 - Thanks be to YAHWEH through Yahushua the Messiah our Saviour. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of YAHWEH; but with the flesh the law of sin.
In fact, Paul says that the doers of the Law will be justified and those who break it will be judged.
Romans 2:12 - For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
Romans 2:13 - (For not the hearers of the law are just before YAHWEH, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Again, Paul says that we know His will and approve the things that are excellent when instructed out of the law:
Romans 2:18 - And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
Romans 2:19 - And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
Romans 2:20 - An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
Continuing here, he says that when we break the Law, we dishonor Yahweh and blaspheme His name:
Romans 2:21 - Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
Romans 2:22 - Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
Romans 2:23 - Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou YAHWEH?
Romans 2:24 - For the name of YAHWEH is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
Therefore, breaking the law of Yahweh dishonors Him and Yahweh's name is blasphemed among the world when we break it.
But today if you keep it, you might be blasphemed among those who claim to believe in Yahushua.
Amazing how the enemy has "twisted" things around!
Such twisting we were warned about, brethren.
Here Paul twice states that we learn that it is the law of Yahweh that teaches us what sin is:
Romans 3:20 - Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 7:7 - What shall we say then? Is the law sin? By no means! Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
This is in agreement with the statement in 1John 3:4 that Sin is transgression of the Law:
1John 3:4 - Whoever commits sin trangresses also the law, for sin is the transgression of the law.
So here we have at least 3 verses in the so-called "New testament" that clearly declares an awesome truth to us
Sin = Disobeying Yahweh's law!
Therefore, whenever Paul or any writer refers to "Sin", it is the breaking of Yahweh's law which is being referred to.
For Sin IS transgression of the law, by the law is the knowledge of sin and we know what sin is "By the law!"
Therefore the law of Yahweh IS the standard of righteousness for all mankind to follow.
How could we miss it?
Now some might say, "Well, he's just talking about the 10 commandments"
But he isn't just talking about the 10 commandments. Otherwise, homosexuality and incest would not even be considered a sin. Neither homosexuality or incest are forbidden in the 10 commandments.
Yet, even most those who say that don't keep the 10 commandments either. For one of the 10 commandments is to "Remember the Sabbath, to keep it holy!"
When Yahweh says to remember "The Sabbath", He is asking us to remember a particular day
Only one day is called "The Sabbath"
To try and "Remember the sabbath" on the first day of the week is a waste of time, because that isn't "The Sabbath" according to Yahweh
Now here is a key scripture proving that Paul believed that thru faith we do not make the Law void, but rather we establish the Law:
Romans 3:31 - Do we then make void the law through faith? By no means! Yea, we establish the law.
In the Greek, the word translated "To establish" means "To cause or make to stand" (#2476).
Do we "cause the law to stand" by our faith or do we tear it down?
Here is another key scripture like the one above proving that Paul did not believe that once we are under grace, that we can continue to sin (break the Law).
Romans 6:15 - What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? By no means!
Just because we aren't "under the law", this doesn't mean that we are free to break it all we want. Whose servant do we want to be?
It is the commandment/law breakers who are under bondage, not us. Yet, they have twisted things around to say that we are in bondage because we seek to keep the commandments?
Amazing how things have been "twisted" around!
Don't we want to be holy, just and good?
Romans 7:1 - Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Romans 7:2 - For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
Romans 7:3 - So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Romans 7:4 - Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of the Messiah; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto YAHWEH.
Some want to say that the law is dead to us.
And they use this verse to "prove it"
But these verses do not say that the law is dead to us, they say that "we are dead to the law!"
That means, as far as the law is concerned, we are dead.
THis is because it is no longer we who live...
Galatians 2:20 - "I have been impaled with the Messiah; it is no longer I who live, but the Messiah lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of YAHWEH, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
And Yahushua is the bridegroom, and we are called to bear fruit in Him
That means we are to walk as He walked... keeping Yahweh's commandments
Ezekiel 36:27 - And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
If we ant to walk in holiness and goodness as He did, we should keep Yahweh's law as He did.
Romans 7:12 - Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
We aren't justified by the law, but it is still the standard of righteousness, the right way of life.. regardless of whether we are justified by it or not.
It still defines what sin is, teaches us how to love Yahweh...and one another, regardless of whether or not it can save us.
Don't let people tell you that the Law is "of the flesh" and not "of the spirit".
Romans 7:14 - For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
That's yet another twist. They say they are spiritual because they don't keep the law...but the law itself is Spiritual.
We are the ones who were carnal... because we broke Yahweh's law. That's why we must be "dead" to the law..
And Messiah must be alive in us
We were the problem, not Yahweh's law! Yahweh didn't make a mistake when He gave us instruction & commands.
Yahweh isn't a "Jekyll & Hide" Elohim. Some think Yahweh was mean in the Old Testament but then repented and became kind in New Testament
But there isn't this... Old Testament in one corner and New Testament in the other doing battle. Yahweh isn't mixed up or confused, nor does He contradict Himself.
Yahweh doesn't change, and Yahushua is the same yesterday, today and forever (no matter how many times people keep trying to change His name!).
We should delight in the law of Yahweh. Paul does!
Romans 7:22 - For I delight in the law of YAHWEH after the inward man:
Do we delight in His law? We should!
Paul states that ALL SCRIPTURE (which must include the Law of Yahweh because there was no written "new testament" at that time) is given by Yahweh, profitable for doctrine, for reproof and "instruction in righteousness":
2Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of YAHWEH, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Timothy 3:17 - That the man of YAHWEH may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
So ALL scripture (including the law of Yahweh) is...
1. Profitable for doctrine
2. Profitable for Reproof
3. Profitable for Instruction in righteousness
So why is it.. when you quote the law of Yahweh to prove anything, many will say "Oh well that's just the Old Testament"
Is it profitable for doctrine, reproof and instruction in righteousness...or not!?
Certainly Paul did not lie
He spoke the truth. All scripture is profitable for doctrine, for reproof and instruction in righteousness
To bring us to perfection...
2Timothy 3:17 - That the man of YAHWEH may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Therefore, there should be very little doubt that according to these verses in which Paul spoke, he certainly upheld the Law as the very definition of righteousness and holiness. There was no "new testament" scripture at the time Paul wrote this letter to Timothy.
Paul taught that breaking these commandments in the law is Unrighteousness, Lawlessness, wickedness, and most importantly, SIN.
Therefore we can conclude that whenever Paul speaks of Sin..he most certainly is talking about disobeying the commandments in the Law.
How many more scriptures could be added where Paul speaks against sin? We might be here all night going through all of them!
You see, in Paul's day Torah obedience was expected and widely understood to be something all believers in Yahweh should aspire to. In truth, it simply went without saying.
It is very important we begin to recognize that the bible we hold in our hands and read from every day is not an American or European document
English speaking Americans are not the authors. Most all of the authors were Jewish and the bible is actually a Middle Eastern document. It really does help if we keep this perspective in mind when we read it.
Christians need to learn how to think beyond what we see in the modern church age with the teachings of men like Billy Graham, Chuck Swindoll, Charles Stanley, Bill Gothard and other popular bible teachers today
One must go even further back than the “Old time Christianity” of Oswald Chambers and even John Wesley, and Martin Luther.
And we need to look further back than the writings of the Gentile “church fathers” which certainly has had a lot of influence over the thinking and practices of the modern church era.
We need to go all the way back…and try to think in terms of what the first century assembly was really like.
Yahushua was not a Greek deity, He was a Jewish man who kept the commandments in the Torah/Law of Yahweh
And it is He who needs to be living in us!
And Paul was also
We need to remember that it is no longer we who live.. it is a Jewish Messiah who lives in us!
And if He lives in us, then we have taken on a new identity!
Galatians 3:29 - And if you are the Messiah's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
We are now the seed of Abraham!
Ephesians 2:11 - Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh--who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands--
Maybe we were "once Gentiles" but no longer
Ephesians 2:12 - that at that time you were without the Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without Elohim in the world.
We were once "aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants" but no longer!
Ephesians 2:13 - But now in the Master Yahushua you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.
We have been brought near because Yahushua the Torah keeping Jew is living in us
Ephesians 2:14 - For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
The middle wall of separation which kept Jew and Gentile has been torn down
Correction: The middle wall of separation which kept Jew and Gentile from being "one" has been torn down
Ephesians 2:15 - having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
What was abolished here? The "ENMITY"
Hatred
Hatred between Jew and Gentile
Did Yahweh create hatred between Jew and Gentile when He gave His law?
Or was His intent to foster love?
Someone asked Yahushua:
Matthew 22:36 - Rabbi, which is the great commandment in the law?
Matthew 22:37 - Yahushua said unto him, Thou shalt love YAHWEH thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:38 - This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:39 - And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:40 - On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
So the law fosters love, not hate
So what is the law of commandments "contained in ordinances?" that created enmity?
The Greek word translated "ordinances" is "dogma" which refers to decrees of men
Some of the Jewish leaders had a lot of hatred for Gentiles and they set up ordinances to keep Jews and Gentiles separate
That's why there was so much trouble for Paul in the first century. He was bringing Gentiles into the faith and the Jews wanted to enforce a false evangel on them which required obedience and circumcision first, then salvation after that.
Ephesians 2:16 - and that He might reconcile them both to YAHWEH in one body through the stake, thereby putting to death the enmity.
So the enmity is put to death in Messiah and Gentiles are no longer strangers to the covenants.. but are partakers
Ephesians 2:17 - And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near.
Ephesians 2:18 - For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
Ephesians 2:19 - Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of YAHWEH,
HalleluYah!
Romans 10:11 - For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Romans 10:12 - For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Sovereign over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Romans 10:13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of YAHWEH shall be saved.
Therefore, let us all call upon the name of Yahweh for salvation.
And let's receive Yahushua into our hearts..
For Gentiles are no longer Gentiles, but are grafted into the olive tree... as Israel
So if we are Israel, we ought to be living like Israel is commanded to live
For Yahushua the Israelite is living in us!!
1John 2:3 - Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
1John 2:4 - He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Let's not be liars, and let's not love a lie or make a lie. Let us neither turn Paul into a liar
1John 2:5 - But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of YAHWEH is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
1John 2:6 - He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
We know He walked in the Torah, keeping it perfectly. He was "without spot"
He loved Yahweh and His fellow man perfectly.
1John 5:3 - For this is the love of YAHWEH, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
1John 3:18 - My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
1John 3:19 - And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
1John 3:20 - For if our heart condemns us, YAHWEH is greater than our heart, and knows all things.
1John 3:21 - Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward YAHWEH.
1John 3:22 - And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
1John 3:23 - And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Yahushua the Messiah and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
HalleluYah, we can have the blessed assurance that we are His.. if we believe on the name of His Son.. loving Him and keeping His commandments...abiding in Him.
So is Yahushua in you or not? If He is, will you let Him keep that Torah in You that He kept while on the earth? If He lives in us, it will reflect on the outer layer as well.
We only can be justified in the sight of Yahweh through Yahushua the Messiah. He alone is our salvation.
But let us demonstrate that this has indeed taken place by conforming ourselves to His image and seeking His will and light and applying it to our lives.
Yahushua told us ahead of time:
Matthew 5:17 - Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Don't even think it!
Matthew 5:18 - For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Not all has been fulfilled, there is much more to come! Yahushua will return and set up His kingdom of righteousness on earth where the law will be kept and sin will be punished.
Micah 4:2 - And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of YAHWEH, and to the house of the Elohim of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of YAHWEH from Jerusalem.
Micah 4:3 - And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more
Please tell me, if we are to be rulers in this age.. how can we be a ruler if we teach others it is okay to break the rules of the kingdom?
After all, the law will go forth from Zion and we will walk therein!
Micah 4:2-3 hasn't happened yet!
But it will!!
So Yahushua says.. (continuing)
Matthew 5:19 - Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
"Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments." .... What are 'THESE least commandments' from?
From the law that Yahushua was talking about! The same law He said he didn't come to destroy. So plain! So clear!
Therefore, let's press on to be called great and blessed of Yahweh in the kingdom of heaven
And as the Body that submits to the Head, Yahushua... let's take this message to all nations and expose the grand deception. Not all will hear, but Yahushua said we should be doing this!
Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:
Matthew 28:20 - Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the age.
Let's teach them to do the things Yahushua commanded...He is the Word and what He (the Word) commanded 3000 years ago at Sinai is just as much HIS WILL as what He (the WORD) spoke 2000 years ago at the Sermon on the Mount.
A "Disciple" is one who is taught--a "Taught one"
Let's not be "unlearned or unstable" as Kepha warned, but let's allow the teaching (Heb. Torah = "teaching") of Yahweh to instruct us!
And let's allow this message to go out as Yahushua said.
Brethren, I have never seen nor heard of such an opportunity since the 1st century.
Along with the thousands of Jews that are starting to accept Yahushua the Messiah, there are thousands upon thousands of Christians are seeking to know about the hebraic roots of their faith---and they are finding that the torah is for today!
They are finding that they have inherited lies and many of the things they have been taught ... are false!
While the field is ripe and there is a shortage of laborers, let's seek to be His laborers. Let's teach all nations to observe the commandments as Yahushua said. Let's live our lives like Yahushua lived His...
in His perfection
Psalms 19:7 - The law of YAHWEH is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of YAHWEH is sure, making wise the simple.
Psalms 19:8 - The statutes of YAHWEH are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of YAHWEH is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psalms 19:9 - The fear of YAHWEH is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of YAHWEH are true and righteous altogether.
Psalms 19:10 - More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psalms 19:11 - Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Yahweh promises a reward and I believe it.
May Yahweh bless you and may He have mercy on us all!
