Tonight I would like to cover a very very important subject

A serious study of scripture will reveal that 2000 years of tradition and teaching of men has produced the age of Christianity we are in today.

And for 2000 years, mainstream christianity has taught that the Torah/law of Yahweh has been abolished.

Wayward doctrines were predicted by Paul as we shall see

In a conversation with the elders at Ephesus, Paul says:

Acts 20:25 - And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of YAHWEH, shall see my face no more.

Acts 20:26 - Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

Acts 20:27 - For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of YAHWEH.

Acts 20:28 - Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Spirit hath made you overseers, to feed the assembly of YAHWEH, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Acts 20:29 - For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Acts 20:30 - Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Acts 20:31 - Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

And with tears

But Paul told them that he did not fail to declare to them the FULL COUNSEL of Yahweh

Let's consider tonight that most of Christianity only wants to share one portion of the counsel of Yahweh.. that being the section of books that they have divided for themselves called "The New Testament"

As one Torah observant teacher noted, the one page that sets up a modern day wall of partition between Jew and Gentile is the uninspired page called "The New Testament"

Ironically, Paul's writings are the writings most commonly used to teach that only part of Yahweh's counsel is valid today

In fact, were it not for Paul.. Christians would have almost nothing to stand on to support this particular view

But as we will see tonight, this is not the fault of Paul

For those who don't believe the Torah/Law of Yahweh is a valid standard of righteousness, please honestly consider the words and scriptures found in this study.

Another warning is found in the writings of Kepha/Peter:

In context, we find Kepha/Peter warning the reader to be diligent in pursuing righteousness and to be without spot and blameless:

2Peter 3:13 - Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

2Peter 3:14 - Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;

Without spot and blameless.

Though we should also remember that is through what Yahushua the Messiah has done that we receive salvation in the first place:

2Peter 3:15 - and consider that the longsuffering of our Master is salvation--as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,

"even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you"

Paul's writings are full of wisdom in this matter of what Yahushua has done and how it relates to us. Over and over again, Paul defends the work of Yahushua the Messiah as being our only hope and our only true source of being justified or being declared righteous.

However, Paul is often misunderstood and Kepha/Peter knew that well

2Peter 3:16 - as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

What things?

He says "these things"

What things are hard to understand?

"The longsuffering of our our Master is salvation"

This is so true and many agree that this wisdom that Yahweh gave Paul is often hard to understand

So as a result of them being hard to understand... According to Kepha (Peter), His writings can easily be twisted/wrested/turned around/perverted/distorted by those who are "unlearned and unstable".

2Peter 3:16 - as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

Could it indeed be referring to those who believe in keeping Yahweh's law while accounting that Yahushua's longsuffering is our salvation?

In other words, they say it is we who are doing the twisting/wresting/turning around/distorting

But upon examining this verse, there are at least 3 reasons why this cannot be so:

1. This scripture says it is 'those who are unlearned' who twist Paul's words. Are Torah observers the unlearned? Let's see what Paul himself would say:

Romans 2:17 - Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of Elohim,

Romans 2:18 - And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

But there was no "New Testament" in those days as we have it today

Thus, the learning Peter/Kepha was speaking of had to be from the Torah, Prophets and Writings (Old Testament). A good recommendation would be for a person to not be "unlearned" when reading Paul's writings. In other words, one should know the Torah before reading them

Reason #2..

2. Peter interprets his own words by saying "Ye also" in the remaining verses:

2Peter 3:16 - as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

2Peter 3:17 - You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;

So one who twists his writings are led away with the "error of the wicked"

The word translated "Wicked" here is "athesmos". The definition of "athesmos" according to the Thayer's lexicon is as follows...

5 113 athesmos {ath'-es-mos} from 1 (as a negative particle) and a derivative of 5087 (in the sense of enacting); TDNT - 1:167,25; adj AV - wicked 2; 2

1) one who breaks through the restraint of law and gratifies his lusts

So apparently the "error" and the result of the twisting/wresting/turning around/distorting is one who breaks through the restraint of law rather than one who keeps the law

Reason #3

3. The offenders are twisting/wresting/turning around/distorting to their "own destruction" according to the verse. It isn't the commandment keepers that will be destroyed, it is the commandment breakers.

Remember, Kepha said:

2Peter 3:13 - Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Is it the commandment keepers or commandment breakers that are found there?

Revelation 22:14 - Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

Revelation 22:15 - But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

Acts 25:8 - While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.

Acts 18:21 - But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if YAHWEH will. And he sailed from Ephesus.

Romans 7:25 - Thanks be to YAHWEH through Yahushua the Messiah our Saviour. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of YAHWEH; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Romans 2:12 - For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

Romans 2:13 - (For not the hearers of the law are just before YAHWEH, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Again, Paul says that we know His will and approve the things that are excellent when instructed out of the law:

Romans 2:17 - Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of Elohim,

Romans 2:18 - And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

Romans 2:19 - And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,

Romans 2:20 - An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.

Romans 2:21 - Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

Romans 2:22 - Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

Romans 2:23 - Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou YAHWEH?

Romans 2:24 - For the name of YAHWEH is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

But today if you keep it you are blasphemed among those who claim to believe in Yahushua

How the enemy has twisted things around!

Here Paul twice states that we learn what sin is from the Law:

Romans 3:20 - Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 7:7 - What shall we say then? Is the law sin? By no means!! Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

1John 3:4 - Whoever commits sin trangresses also the law, for sin is the transgression of the law.

Sin = Breaking Yahweh's law!

Therefore, whenever Paul or any writer refers to "Sin", it is the law breaking that is being referred to. For Sin IS transgression of the law, by the law is the knowledge of sin and we know what sin is "By the law!"

Therefore the law of Yahweh IS the standard of righteousness for all.

And he isn't just talking about the 10 commandments. For otherwise, homosexuality and incest would not even be sin! Neither are forbidden in the 10 commandments

Now here is a key scripture proving that Paul believed that thru faith we do not make the Law void, but rather we establish the Law:

Romans 3:31 - Do we then make void the law through faith? By no means! Yea, we establish the law.

Do we "cause the law to stand" by our faith or do we tear it down?

Here is another key scripture like the one above proving that Paul did not believe that once we are under grace, that we can continue to sin (break the Law)

Romans 6:15 - What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under favor? By no means!!

Romans 6:16 - Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Romans 7:12 - Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

These same people will tell you that the Law is "of the flesh" and not "of the spirit".

But Paul says:

Romans 7:14 - For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

We were the problem, not Yahweh's law!

Yahweh didn't make a mistake when He gave us instruction & commands

He isn't a Jekyll & Hide Elohim. Some think Yahweh was mean in the Old Testament but then repented and became kind in New Testament

There isn't this, Old Testament in one corner and New Testament in the other doing battle. Yahweh isn't mixed up or confused, nor does He contradict Himself

Yet mention the word law or Torah to most, and you will get called names like "legalist"

But we should delight in the law of Yahweh. Paul does!

Romans 7:22 - For I delight in the law of YAHWEH after the inward man:

Now let's move on to where Paul uses the term "Lawlessness" or "Iniquity"

The word that is translated "Lawlessness" or "Iniquity" in the following verses is the greek word "anomia" which carries the following definition:

5 BDB/Thayers # 458 458 anomia {an-om-ee'-ah} from 459; TDNT - 4:1085,646; n f AV - iniquity 12, unrighteousness 1, transgress the law + 4060 1,

5transgression of the law 1; 15

1) the condition of without law

1a) because ignorant of it

1b) because of violating it

2) contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness

Now for a second witness here is the definition of this in the Strong's Hebrew Lexicon:

5458. anomia, an-om-ee'-ah; from 459; illegality, i.e. violation of the law or (gen.) wickedness: --- iniquity X transgress (ion of) the law, unrighteousness

Very important. This greek word means "Illegality, violation of the law"

In light of this, I think we should be more concerned if we are an illegalist than a legalist

Now note that both lexicons it states that both of these words come from the greek word #459.

This means that the root of "anomia" is #459, "anomos".

This word (#459) means "To be destitute or in violation of the Mosaic or Jewish Law" (See Thayer's and Strong's Lexicons).

The word #458 is translated "transgression of the Law" in the King James version of 1john 3:4

1John 3:4 - Whoever commits sin trangresses also the law, for sin is the transgression of the law.

The reason why knowing the real definition is so important is because it is disguised in many translations

Romans 6:19 - I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Here again..

2Corinthians 6:15 - Or what harmony has the Messiah with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

2Corinthians 6:14 - Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Let's look at another..

Romans 4:7 - Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

Sin is Anomia/Anomos

Here obedience placed on equal par with righteousness (as defined by the Law)

Romans 10:5 - For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

2Timothy 2:22 - Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on YAHWEH out of a pure heart.

Now here is an example where Paul states that ALL SCRIPTURE (which must include the Law of Yahweh because there was no written "new testament" at that time) is given by Yahweh, profitable for doctrine, for reproof and "instruction in righteousness":

2Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of YAHWEH, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2Timothy 3:17 - That the man of YAHWEH may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

1. Doctrine! Profitable for doctrine

2. Reproof! Profitable for Reproof

3. Profitable for Instruction is righteousness

Yet, when you quote the law of Yahweh to most people, they say "Oh well that's just the Old Testament"

Is it profitable for doctrine, reproof and instruction in righteousness or not!?

Surely Paul did not lie

He spoke the truth. All scripture is profitable for doctrine, for reproof and instruction in righteousness

2Timothy 3:17 - That the man of YAHWEH may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

And he taught that breaking these commandments is Unrighteousness, Lawlessness, wickedness, and most importantly, SIN.

Therefore we can conclude that whenever Paul speaks of Sin..he most certainly is talking about disobeying the commandments in the Law

How many more scriptures could be added where Paul speaks against sin? This study would certainly be much longer!

Therefore, we can see that Torah obedience was expected. In Paul's day, it really went without saying. But lest there still be some here that think breaking the Torah is acceptable, let's read where Paul says that refusing to subject ourselves to Yahweh's Torah is the way of death:

Please read carefully:

Romans 8:6 - For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

1. The carnal mind that leads to death

2. The Spiritual mind that is life and peace

What are the attributes of one having a carnal mind and what are the attributes of one having a spiritual mind?

Let's read the next verse and find out

Romans 8:7 - Because the carnal mind is enmity against YAHWEH: for it is not subject to the law of YAHWEH, neither indeed can be.

Modern day teachers are basically teaching poor Christians to be at enmity against Yahweh because they say you need not be subject to His Law!

But we should pursue LIFE (eternal) and PEACE (with Yahweh) by being spiritually minded... subject to His Torah/Law

Isn't that what Kepha/Peter encouraged us to do?

2Peter 3:14 - Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;

2Peter 3:15 - and consider that the longsuffering of our Master is salvation--as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,

Romans 8:7 - Because the carnal mind is enmity against YAHWEH: for it is not subject to the law of YAHWEH, neither indeed can be.

Deuteronomy 6:5 - And thou shalt love YAHWEH thy Elohim with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

1John 5:3 - For this is the love of YAHWEH, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

John 8:29 - And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

1John 2:3 - Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

1John 2:4 - He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1John 2:5 - But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of YAHWEH is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

1John 2:6 - He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

1John 3:18 - My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

1John 3:19 - And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

1John 3:24 - Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

1John 3:10 - In this the children of YAHWEH and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of YAHWEH, nor is he who does not love his brother.

John 13:35 - By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

1John 5:2 - By this we know that we love the children of YAHWEH, when we love YAHWEH and keep His commandments.

1John 5:3 - For this is the love of YAHWEH, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

But sadly..

This is an unknown message to this generation.

The things I speak to you tonight are not popular

For our Fathers have inherited many lies... and though we sound the trumpet, few will hear

Jeremiah 6:16 - Thus saith YAHWEH, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Jeremiah 6:17 - Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

Jeremiah 6:18 - Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.

Jeremiah 6:19 - Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.

This is part of the "Strong delusion" sent by Yahweh to those who do not love the truth, but have pleasure in their commandment breaking/unrighteousness

2Thessalonians 2:11 - And for this cause YAHWEH shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2Thessalonians 2:12 - That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

John 17:17 - Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

And Yahushua IS the Word

and therefore.. is truth!

But how can we love Yahushua if we don't love the Torah, which is part of the Word?

John 14:6 - Yahushua saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Hebrews 4:15 - For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Galatians 2:20 - "I have been impaled with the Messiah; it is no longer I who live, but the Messiah lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of YAHWEH, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

This is why we only can be justified in the sight of Yahweh through Yahushua the Messiah. Therefore, let us conform ourselves to His image by seeking His will and light and applying it to our lives. Let's allow Him to live in us by letting Him keep the commandments IN US that He kept while on the earth

Yahushua told us ahead of time:

Matthew 5:17 - Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Matthew 5:18 - For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Micah 4:2 - And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of YAHWEH, and to the house of the Elohim of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of YAHWEH from Jerusalem.

Micah 4:3 - And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more

After all, the law will go forth from Zion and we will walk therein!

So Yahushua says..

Matthew 5:19 - Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

What are 'these least commandments' from?

From the law that Yahushua was talking about! The same law He said he didn't come to destroy. So plain! So clear!

Therefore, let's press on to be called great and blessed of Yahweh in the kingdom of heaven

And the Body that submits to the Head, Yahuhsua... must take this message to all nations and expose the grand deception. Not all will hear, but Yahushua said we should be doing this!

Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:

Matthew 28:20 - Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the age.

Brethren, I have never seen nor heard of such an opportunity since the 1st century

Along with the thousands of Jews that are starting to accept Yahushua the Messiah, there are thousands upon thousands of Christians are seeking to know about the hebraic roots of their faith and they are finding that the torah is for today!

They are finding that they have inherited lies and the things they have been taught ... are false !

While the field is ripe and there is a shortage of laborers. Let's teach all nations to observe the commandments as Yahushua said. Let's live our lives like Yahushua lived His...

in perfection

Psalms 19:7 - The law of YAHWEH is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of YAHWEH is sure, making wise the simple.

Psalms 19:8 - The statutes of YAHWEH are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of YAHWEH is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Psalms 19:9 - The fear of YAHWEH is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of YAHWEH are true and righteous altogether.

Psalms 19:10 - More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Psalms 19:11 - Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
