duane - Heavenly Father Yahweh, we praise your name, ask that you will bless everyone here tonight.
duane - Please give your servant, Brother EliYah the spirit of your truth, in everything shared tonight.
duane - give us all ears to hear, and hearts to fill.
duane - Thank you dear Father for our sustenance this week, and thank you for the blessing of our Sabbath.
duane - Father we anxiously await for your kingdom to come, so that we can all live in perfect shalom
duane - and we also wait for your Son to return to usher in Your kingdom.
duane - And it is in His precious name that we ask these things, and praise you, our master, Yahushua the Messiah.
duane - So be it, HalleluYAH!

EliYah's message:

HalleluYah!!!

Psalms 20:7 - Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of YAHWEH our Elohim.

Psalms 9:10 - And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, YAHWEH, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Tonight I would like to talk about the one who is truly deserving of our trust

Yes, tonight I would like to encourage ALL to TRUST IN YAHWEH.

Not just now, but in all times!

Psalms 62:8 - Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: Elohim is a refuge for us. Selah.

With so many distractions, entertainments, and technologies it is easy to let other things be what we put our trust in

Some may trust in the strength of their country's military

Others may trust in their own wisdom, or another person

But all throughout scripture we are told that we should trust in Yahweh "at all times"

The importance of trust cannot be underestimated.

Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in YAHWEH with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

There is a lot to be said in this scripture.

Much of what can hinder trust revolves around what is perhaps the greatest enemy of trust, that is "Fear".

Psalms 112:5 - A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Psalms 112:6 - Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

Psalms 112:7 - He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in YAHWEH.

How fixed is our heart? We need not be fearful of evil tidings or bad news

For we have Yahweh!

And if we have Yahweh, then we have everything we need

He is our guide through this wilderness, through this land and kingdom that is not our own

When the fire or cloud moves, we need not fear the giants ahead

We may be tested as the children of Israel were, but we can be sure the He is our guide and we need not fear

Fear of man, circumstances is related to a lack of faith

Fear is why the children of Israel wanted to go back to Egypt

But those who trust do not want to go back

I believe that this kind of fear is in many ways equal to Atheism.

When we lack faith in Yahweh due to our fears, we do not believe that Yahweh exists and that His promises to deliver us are true.

This is dangerous ground!

Friends and brethren, Yahweh's promises are true!

Now, there is a good kind of fear and a bad kind of fear as Yahushua illustrates:

Matthew 10:28 - And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Fear in and of itself is not necessarily bad thing. But "who" we fear is important.

Fear or Reverent Awe of Yahweh is good, but fear of man is not!

Again, this is dangerous ground. Consider the example of King Saul:

1Samuel 15:18 - And YAHWEH sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

1Samuel 15:19 - Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of YAHWEH, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of YAHWEH?

1Samuel 15:20 - And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of YAHWEH, and have gone the way which YAHWEH sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

Yahweh had told Saul to destroy the Amalekites and everything they had

But Saul decided to keep the best of the spoil and sacrifice it to Yahweh.

1Samuel 15:21 - But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto YAHWEH thy Elohim in Gilgal.

1Samuel 15:22 - And Samuel said, Hath YAHWEH as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of YAHWEH? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

1Samuel 15:23 - For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of YAHWEH, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

1Samuel 15:24 - And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of YAHWEH, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

Now read carefully Saul's motive...he "feared the people" rather than fearing Yahweh

It was for this cause that Saul rebelled (which in Yahweh's eyes is as idolatry) and only partially obeyed Yahweh.

Proverbs 29:25 - The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in YAHWEH shall be safe.

Saul fell into the snare

The snare exists in this age as well

Many will not walk in Yahweh's ways for fear of what men will say

Few are willing to set that fear aside and fear Yahweh first and foremost

It was true in Yahushua's day:

John 12:42 - Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

John 12:43 - For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of YAHWEH.

The fear of man with the lack of fear and trust in Yahweh is often the root of why a "pastor" won't preach the truth

A fear of circumstances rather than a trust in Yahweh is very dangerous

Consider now the example of Jehoshaphat, a righteous king that chose to trust in Yahweh

Judah was surrounded by armies from 3 nations, but Jehoshaphat trusted in Yahweh:

2Chronicles 20:20 - And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in YAHWEH your Elohim, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

They were surrounded by an allied army with great power and strength

But Jehoshaphat encouraged them to trust in Yahweh, believe in His word

How would we react in this situation?

2Chronicles 20:21 - And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto YAHWEH, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise YAHWEH; for his mercy endureth for ever.

Usually a military would appoint the most powerful warriors to be on the front lines

But Jehoshaphat chose singers and praisers of Yahweh!

What faith, what trust!

2Chronicles 20:22 - And when they began to sing and to praise, YAHWEH set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

2Chronicles 20:23 - For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

2Chronicles 20:24 - And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

How's that for the power of praise, faith and and trust?!

Consider the magnitude of the opposition in this instance. Truly, the challenges we face in our own lives pales in comparison

If Yahweh can do this to armies that fight against His people, can He not also deliver us?

Yes, let's trust in HIM

They didn't fear man, they trusted in Yahweh

Jeremiah 17:5 - Thus saith YAHWEH; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from YAHWEH.

Jeremiah 17:6 - For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

Surely we do not want to be cursed, but rather... blessed!

Jeremiah 17:7 - Blessed is the man that trusteth in YAHWEH, and whose hope YAHWEH is.

Jeremiah 17:8 - For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Where are we truly placing our trust, down deep in our heart?

Those who say "He knows my heart" are correct

Jeremiah 17:10 - I YAHWEH search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

And many who say that ought to be shaking in their shoes, for it is often used as an excuse to continue in sin

Who are we trusting right now? Yahweh tries the heart to see whom we trust

Many today trust their preachers to give them the truth in His word.

Who are we trusting?

Many attend "services" so that they need not read the word themselves. They pay for this "service" of reading and explaining the word of Yahweh via their tithes and offerings.

They forget or don't know that Yahweh wants us to trust in Him for the truth.

But we ought to know and we ought not to forget!

Yahushua warned of false teachers in the latter days:

Matthew 24:3 - And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Matthew 24:4 - And Yahushua answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Many go to church to get their ears tickled and goose bumps raised but forget that Yahweh wants us to obey Him and truly trust in Him for salvation.

For those who do read the word, there are bibles so thick with commentary that the commentary outsizes the word of Yahweh!

Try to find an NIV bible without a bunch of commentary! I tried and couldn't find any large print NIV without some kind of commentary

Brethren, this is not a time to sit back in our easy chairs and let others do the seeking.

It is time to seek Yahweh!

Hosea 10:12 - Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek YAHWEH, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

Isaiah 55:6 - Seek ye YAHWEH while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Yahweh wants to know, in whom will we trust?

For those of you who have come to this meeting tonight seeking someone you can trust, I invite you to seek Yahweh. Only He is worthy of our trust.

Yahweh wants to know, in whom will we trust?

Will we trust in ourselves?

Will we trust in our ability to seek knowledge?

Are we just trusting in our own capabilities?

This is what the world teaches us..'you just have to believe in yourself'.

But Yahweh's word says:

Proverbs 28:26 - He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

We must walk in wisdom

Psalms 111:10 - The fear of YAHWEH is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Let's fear and trust in Yahweh. Those who do His commandments will have a good understanding

Due to circumstances and events, it may appear to many that trusting in Yahweh is foolish

Some may even ridicule us, as they did Yahushua, who also experienced the testing of Yahweh in this:

Psalms 22:1 - My El, my El, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

The first part of this verse in Psalm 22 is what Yahushua quoted when he was on the tree

Psalms 22:2 - O my Elohim, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

Psalms 22:3 - But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Psalms 22:4 - Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

Psalms 22:5 - They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

Yahweh always prevails in the end

We know where Yahushua is now...at the right hand of the Father

Guess what?

He trusted in Yahweh!

In whom did David place his trust when fighting Goliath? In swords and armor?

1Samuel 17:38 - And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.

1Samuel 17:39 - And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.

1Samuel 17:40 - And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.

As we shall see, he trusted in Yahweh

1Samuel 17:41 - And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.

1Samuel 17:42 - And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.

1Samuel 17:43 - And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by hiselohim.

1Samuel 17:44 - And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.

1Samuel 17:45 - Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of YAHWEH of hosts, the Elohim of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

So he DID trust, and he DID prevail!. It didn't seem so at first, but in the end..Yahweh always prevails

We should not trust in the swords of men. We should commit our trust in the sword of Yahweh!

Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of YAHWEH is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

For if we can trust in Yahweh, we can also trust in His word

There are many swords out there

v

swords/words of men that might appear to give life and hope

but we should trust in Yahweh's word

Psalms 119:42 - So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.

No matter what happens to us, we should trust in Yahweh

Look what happened to Job

Yet..

Job 13:15 - Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

When we read something in His word, we can trust that it is truth. His word does not fail. As Yahushua said "The Scripture cannot be broken".

When we read the news, or listen to the radio or even listen to sermons... we hear the words of man and must filter them in light of the truth.

But when we hear or read the words of Yahweh, we KNOW they are true!

What a blessing! We can have 100% confidence that Yahweh IS truth and His word IS truth. We found someone we can believe!

By His words we are sanctified

John 17:17 - Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Therefore brethren, let us trust in Yahweh and in His word. Yahushua has shown us that Yahweh is trustworthy and so is His word!

But even if we have failed Yahweh, we can trust that He is merciful! The psalmist had no choice but to trust in Yahweh's mercy:

Psalms 13:3 - Consider and hear me, O YAHWEH my Elohim: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Psalms 13:4 - Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

Psalms 13:5 - But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

Yahweh's word declares He is merciful, it is up to us to believe what He says

Nahum 1:7 - YAHWEH is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Remember that it was because of a lack of trust that the children of Israel murmured against Moshe and murmured against Yahweh in the wilderness. But Yahweh looked on the ones who did trust them

Let us not murmur, but let us trust Yahweh on this journey through a strange land

In this strange land there are many snares, traps and nets to get tangled in

Let's look again at the scripture:

Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in YAHWEH with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

"lean not unto thine own understanding." This is where many struggle.

There are times that we encounter situations that are BEYOND our understanding and we try to explain their cause and effect

Job was an excellent example. Yahweh called him 'a blameless and upright man'.

Yet fire from heaven destroyed all he had and he was afflicted with much pains. Job seemingly wanted to know, "WHY??"

Job 3:11 - Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly?

Job 3:12 - Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck?

Job 3:13 - For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,

In that last few chapters of Job, Yahweh doesn't really seem give Job a full answer as to why.. though perhaps He did later in life

Yahweh just asks Job..

Job 38:4 - Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Brethren, His ways are so much higher and He is so much greater that sometimes we can't really even comprehend all that takes place in His presence. We just have to trust that He knows what He is doing, yes?

David wrote:

Psalms 131:1 - YAHWEH, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

Psalms 131:2 - Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

Psalms 131:3 - Let Israel hope in YAHWEH from henceforth and for ever.

We can see the past and present tense, buy we cannot always see the future.

We can only see what is in our immediate locale, but Yahweh sees everything! He knows the thoughts of every man on the face of the earth, and why man thinks them.

He sees the millions of prayers, all situations and all things

Some things are just "too high for us", though other times we can be given the understanding if we seek

We should just trust in Yahweh, even when we do not understand.

Because our reasoning may not be right

We don't need to torment ourselves with "WHY?". We need only to trust in Him.. that He is good and is looking out for our best interest.

That's what He wants from us, brethren

If we place a requirement to understand FIRST, BEFORE we will trust..then we are not really trusting in Yahweh with all our heart, we are trusting in our own understanding

But here is a secret...

Sometimes, it's only when we DO trust, that Yahweh gives us the understanding!

Sometimes, if we wait on Yahweh we can look back and see His hand in everything

Just because we don't understand something, it does not mean that Yahweh is not merciful or His word is not truth

So what must we do?

Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in YAHWEH with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Proverbs 3:6 - In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:7 - Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear YAHWEH, and depart from evil.

Let's seek the ways of Yahweh, seek His righteousness, pray for wisdom.. then TRUST

Just trust in Yahweh, fear Him and do not do evil

Acknowledge Him

Trust Him

BELIEVE in Him, no matter what situation you are in..or how long you are in it

Do what He says. Even if we don't understand it, we must!

HalleluYah! The everlasting strength of Yahweh is worthy of our trust!

Isaiah 26:4 - Trust ye in YAHWEH for ever: for in YAH YAHWEH is everlasting strength:

Let's trust in the lovingkindness of Yahweh!

Psalms 36:7 - How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O Elohim! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

Let's trust in the riches of Yahweh, not the riches of men!

Psalms 62:10 - Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

1Timothy 6:17 - Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living Elohim, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

Proverbs 23:4 - Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.

Proverbs 23:5 - Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

Proverbs 11:28 - He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

Mark 10:24 - And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Yahushua answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of YAHWEH!

Youths, trust in Yahweh!

Psalms 71:5 - For thou art my hope, O Sovereign YAHWEH: thou art my trust from my youth.

You who seek Yahweh, trust in Him!

Psalms 9:10 - And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, YAHWEH, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Trust in Yahweh who has delivered us from death!

2Corinthians 9:10 - Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;

2Corinthians 9:11 - you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to Elohim.

2Corinthians 1:9 - indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves in order that we should not trust in ourselves, but in YAHWEH who raises the dead;

2Corinthians 1:10 - who delivered us from so great a death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us,

Trust in Yahweh who has delivered us from death!

No matter what happens...Trust in Yahweh!

Job 13:15 - Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

HalleluYah! For those who trust in Yahweh shall obtain mercy

Psalms 32:10 - Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in YAHWEH, mercy shall compass him about.

Those who trust in Yahweh will be delivered!

Psalms 37:40 - And YAHWEH shall help them and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Those who trust in Yahweh will have perfect peace!

Isaiah 26:3 - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Those who trust in Yahweh will rejoice!

Psalms 5:11 - But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

Proverbs 16:20 - He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in YAHWEH, happy is he.

Those who trust in Yahweh will have even the desires of their heart granted!

Psalms 37:3 - Trust in YAHWEH, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Psalms 37:4 - Delight thyself also in YAHWEH; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Brothers and sisters, examine THIS promise!

Psalms 125:1 - They that trust in YAHWEH shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

Psalms 125:2 - As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so YAHWEH is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

If we would abide in eternal life, we need to Trust in Yahweh, for there is nobody like Him and it is He that is truly worthy of our trust!!

Remember where Yahushua is.

Let it be that in times of trouble, we will always focus on the Father...not on the troubles and trials

Let it be that in gladness..

sadness..

sickness..

health..

good days..

bad days..

Sabbath days..

Every day

we will Trust..

Trust in Yahweh

For then His rewards await us.

He is worthy of our trust. He is the most powerful being in the universe.. He is worthy of our trust.

Let it be so, in Yahushua's name!

May Yahweh bless you and may He have mercy on us all!

End
