EliYah's message:

HalleluYah!!!

As the Passover feast begins and we examine all the scriptures regarding this feast, we see an awesome picture of Yahweh's plan of salvation for all of us

Tonight I would like to examine the scriptures regarding Yahushua, but I would like to look only at the Law and the Prophets

Brethren, the anti-missionaries are out in full force

Anti-Missionaries are anti-Messiah believers in Judaism who are seeking to draw men away from Yahushua the Messiah

Because most of them are Jews and because so many people are coming to the "Messianic" faith, there are many who put alot of confidence in them when it comes to understanding Torah

After all, they have been keeping Torah for thousands of years.. shouldn't they be able to teach us something?

Sometimes yes

But there is a real danger here in following the "Rabbis"

While they might know some things about the Torah, they are missing the big picture

The big picture is Yahushua the Messiah!

Yahushua said:

John 5:45 - Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.

John 5:46 - For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

John 5:47 - But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

For those who are new to this walk, I offer a word of exhortation

There are those out there who look like us and act like us but they doubt the authenticity of Paul's writings

They say this because they think Paul taught the Torah was not for today

However, this is not true

They sometimes will teach that there was no virgin birth

But the scriptures are clear that there was

I have found that once a person rejects Paul, then they have to question Luke who was with Paul.. then Peter also because he indicated Paul's writings were scripture

Brethren, beware of any who would undermine the foundation of our faith.. the Word of Yahweh

For it will not be much longer, and those who deny Paul will usually soon be denying Yahushua.. who is the Word of Yahweh

When you throw out the Word of Yahweh, anything goes. You can come up with any doctrine you want to because there is no authority

All false religions have this thing in common

Mainstream Christianity is in error because they reject the "Old Testament" part of Yahweh's word as having any bearing on their lives

And Mainstream Judaism is in error because they reject the "New Testament" part of Yahweh's word as having any bearing on their lives

But it is all Yahweh's word, and important

In truth, you cannot accept one and deny the other. For if you deny either the Old or New, you deny both

For those who walk away and deny Messiah, a new elohim is molded and worshiped.. one that they form themselves.. often based on their suspicions and corrupt minds

Scripture says:

Hebrews 6:4 - For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,

Hebrews 6:5 - and have tasted the good word of YAHWEH and the powers of the age to come,

Hebrews 6:6 - if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of YAHWEH, and put Him to an open shame.

Hebrews 6:7 - For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from Elohim;

Hebrews 6:8 - but if it bears thorns and briars, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

I have never seen one who truly knew Yahushua and received the Torah and walked this walk, and later denied Him.. to return back the way he came and receive Yahushua again

It is a dangerous choice to make

I've seen many go

What should our reaction be to them?

2John 1:7 - For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Yahushua the Messiah as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antiMessiah.

2John 1:8 - Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.

2John 1:9 - Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of the Messiah does not have YAHWEH. He who abides in the doctrine of MESSIAH has both the Father and the Son.

2John 1:10 - If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;

2John 1:11 - for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

While it can be discouraging to see that there are some out there who think they are on the narrow way by rejecting Yahushua, we should not be surprised

1Corinthians 11:19 - For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

1John 2:18 - Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the AntiMessiah is coming, even now many antiMessiahs have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.

1John 2:19 - They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

We do need to beware and know where we stand in Messiah!

In the US and other Christian Countries, it is assumed that Yahushua is the Messiah because we are raised in a culture that makes that assumption

But there is a deception out there that is strong. A deception that blinded the eyes of many for 2000 years

We need to beware and have a solid foundation in His word

How many among us right now, if given the opportunity, could prove that Yahushua is the Messiah strictly from the Old Testament/Tanakh scriptures?

Few of us could. Yet, all throughout what is called the "New Testament", we read that the disciples were able to prove Yahushua is the Messiah with the scriptures.

We must remember that they had no "new testament" to read from so they needed to demonstrate this from the Tanakh or "Old Testament" scriptures:

Acts 18:28 - For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Yahushua was the Messiah.

Acts 9:22 - But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is the Messiah.

Acts 28:23 - And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of YAHWEH, persuading them concerning Yahushua, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

How about us? How grounded are we in the scriptures that prove Yahushua is the Messiah?

Can we demonstrate from the "Old Testament" or Tanakh that He is the Messiah?

Brethren, the scriptures are there!

Let's examine some of them tonight

To recognize the Messiah, we must first determine what the scriptures say this Messiah will be like.

Although there are some scriptures that describe the Messiah as one conquering and ruling the world, we cannot ignore others that describe Him also as a meek Servant who would suffer for our iniquities.

In Isaiah 52:13-53:12, we see where this meek Servant is described in very minute detail

Isaiah 52:13 - Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

Isaiah 52:14 - As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

Isaiah 52:15 - So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

Isaiah 53:1 - Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of YAHWEH revealed?

Isaiah 53:2 - For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

Isaiah 53:3 - He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Isaiah 53:4 - Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of Elohim, and afflicted.

Isaiah 53:5 - But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:6 - All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and YAHWEH hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:7 - He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Isaiah 53:8 - He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

Isaiah 53:9 - And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

Isaiah 53:10 - Yet it pleased YAHWEH to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of YAHWEH shall prosper in his hand.

Isaiah 53:11 - He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Isaiah 53:12 - Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

So here we have a very detailed description of this Servant. In just 15 verses we are able to count at least 58 characteristics of this Servant.

If this Servant if Isaiah 53 is the Messiah, other messianic prophecies must also be consistent with this description.

Are there any other scriptures in Isaiah that identify the Messiah as Yahweh's "Servant"?

Yes:

Isaiah 42:1 - Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

Isaiah 42:2 - He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

Isaiah 42:3 - A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

Isaiah 42:4 - He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

Isaiah 42:5 - Thus saith El YAHWEH, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

Isaiah 42:6 - I YAHWEH have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

We see here that this servant will be given 'for a covenant of the people' and 'for a light of the Gentiles'

This is consistent with other prophecies that we will be reading.

If this Servant in Isaiah 53 is to be identified as the Messiah, are there other scriptures that mention a suffering "servant" Messiah as well?

Let's examine Isaiah chapter 50:

Isaiah 50:1 - Thus saith YAHWEH, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.

Isaiah 50:2 - Wherfore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.

Isaiah 50:3 - I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.

Isaiah 50:4 - the Master YAHWEH hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

Isaiah 50:5 - The Master YAHWEH hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.

Isaiah 50:6 - I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

In the above scriptures, we find the same attributes that were applied to the Servant in Isaiah 53. He would be rejected even though He has the power to "dry up the sea", "make rivers a wilderness" and "clothe the heavens with blackness" and "sackcloth".

In Isaiah 52:13 it said that this the Servant would be exalted very high, yet He would be rejected, and become a sin offering

Isaiah 53:10 - Yet it pleased YAHWEH to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of YAHWEH shall prosper in his hand.

In Isaiah 50, the Servant would willingly "give his back" to those who strike Him, His "cheeks to those who pluck out the beard" and would not "hide His face from shame and spitting."

But look what else:

Isaiah 50:7 - For the Master YAHWEH will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Isaiah 50:8 - He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.

Isaiah 50:9 - Behold, the Master YAHWEH will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.

Isaiah 50:10 - Who is among you that feareth YAHWEH, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of YAHWEH, and stay upon his Elohim.

Isaiah 50:11 - Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.

Be assured, you don't want to contend with this Servant.

For Yahweh is His help and He has the power to inflict punishment. If one chooses to walk in their own light, and not the true light, they will lie down in sorrow and torment by the hand of this Servant

Woe to the man who contends with Him! The use of the term "Servant" in verse 10 confirms who is being described here.

So this servant suffered, but was also given great power

Let's now examine some scriptures that deal with "The Righteousness of Yahweh"

If this Servant in Isaiah 53 is to be identified as the Messiah, then we know that this Servant was a "trespass/guilt offering" (53:10) for others. What does this mean?

How can a person be a trespass offering? What is the purpose of a trespass offering?

Leviticus 19:20 - And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

Leviticus 19:21 - And he shall bring his trespass offering unto YAHWEH, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering.

Leviticus 19:22 - And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before YAHWEH for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.

So we read that the purpose of a trespass offering is for atonement and forgiveness of sin.

We read earlier that the Servant of Isaiah 53 will be a "trespass offering" and will "justify many", and it was He that would "bear our sins".

Could we then conclude that it is this Servant that brings us atonement, forgiveness, righteousness and salvation through this offering?

We do know that in order for one to be acceptable to Yahweh, they must be righteous.

The only way we can be declared righteous is if we have our sins forgiven, for every single one of us has sinned

Are there any examples in scripture that speak of the Messiah bringing righteousness to Yahweh's people through the "trespass offering" that will "justify many"?

Let's examine some verses which discuss the righteousness of Yahweh.

Isaiah 54:17 - No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of YAHWEH, and their righteousness is of me, saith YAHWEH.

It is clear that from reading the above verse, that Yahweh says our righteousness comes from Him. In fact, it is our heritage!

Being unclean sinners, how do we get Yahweh's righteousness in us?

Are there any scriptures that indicate that we would get the righteousness of Yahweh through His Messiah? Let's see... for starters:

Jeremiah 23:5 - Behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

Jeremiah 23:6 - In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, YAHWEH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The Messiah is called "Yahweh OUR Righteousness" because He is the One through whom Yahweh brought us His righteousness

The above verse is consistent other scriptures already discussed proving that the Messiah will be a "righteous servant" that will "justify many" (Isa. 53:11) and will be a "trespass offering" and thus bring atonement and forgiveness of sin (Isa 53:10, Lev. 19).

But there are other scriptures too that speak of the righteousness of Yahweh and how the Messiah will bring it to Yahweh's people

Isaiah 45:23 - I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Isaiah 45:24 - Surely, shall one say, in YAHWEH have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

Isaiah 45:25 - In YAHWEH shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

When Yahweh swears an oath, we would do well to listen. He swore an oath to Abraham and look at all that Yahweh did to keep that oath! He did so here.

Part of the above oath was that people would say "'Surely in Yahweh I have righteousness and strength".

Notice later in the verse that it says "in Yahweh" shall all the descendants of Israel be justified.

This is consistent with Isaiah 53:10 which says that this Righteous Servant will "Justify many".

Because this Messianic Servant was truly righteous, he is an acceptable "trespass offering" without blemish and is able to "bear our iniquities". This is also why the Messiah is called "Yahweh our Righteousness".

Yahweh shows us the need for an intercessor in Isaiah 59 :

Isaiah 59:15 - Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and YAHWEH saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

Isaiah 59:16 - And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

These verses are quite similar to the ones we have discussed so far. Here, Yahweh "wondered that there was no intercessor". Isaiah 53 states that this servant "made intercession for the transgressors."

Also it says here that it is "His righteousness" that "sustains" Yahweh. This is like Jeremiah 23 that where Messiah is called "Yahweh our righteousness".

It is only Yahweh's own righteousness through this Servant that will make us good enough to please Him.

Notice also that Yahweh said in the above verses "His arm brought salvation unto Him".

Here, the Messiah is likened to the Arm of Yahweh. We will find this symbolism in many other Messianic prophecies. For instance:

Isaiah 40:10 - Behold, the Master YAHWEH will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

If Yahweh's 'arm' will rule for him, it must mean that Yahweh Himself will not rule (although Yahweh ultimately rules all, it is His arm).

But to whom will the arm of Yahweh be revealed?

Isaiah 53:1 - Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of YAHWEH revealed?

Note that this is from the Isaiah 53 segment we read earlier

The Arm of Yahweh, the Righteousness of Yahweh and the real Servant of Yahweh is beginning to take shape... and we have yet to look at a single "New Testament" scripture

Isaiah 40:10 - Behold, the Master YAHWEH will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

Isaiah 40:11 - He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Isaiah 59:17 - For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.

Isaiah 59:18 - According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.

We will later discuss how the Messiah will recompense his enemies, but this lines up with a previous scripture we examined (Isaiah 50) where the Messiah said "This you shall have from My hand: You shall lie down in sorrow/torment"

continuing..

Isaiah 59:19 - So shall they fear the name of YAHWEH from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of YAHWEH shall lift up a standard against him.

Isaiah 59:20 - And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith YAHWEH.

Isaiah 59:21 - As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith YAHWEH; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith YAHWEH, from henceforth and for ever.

We see here that as a result of this salvation that the Messiah brings, there will be a new covenant. This covenant has yet to be fully instituted, for His word is not in everyone's mouth yet.

This is the same covenant spoken of in Jeremiah 31:

Jeremiah 31:31 - Behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Jeremiah 31:32 - Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YAHWEH:

Jeremiah 31:33 - But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YAHWEH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people.

In this passage we see that His law, His words are written on the hearts of Israel and Judah

Therefore this speaks of the same covenant as Isaiah 59.

Here is yet another scripture that will agree with what we have read so far:

Isaiah 61:1 - The Spirit of the Master YAHWEH is upon me; because YAHWEH hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Isaiah 61:2 - To proclaim the acceptable year of YAHWEH, and the day of vengeance of our Elohim; to comfort all that mourn;

Isaiah 61:3 - To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of YAHWEH, that he might be glorified.

Isaiah 61:4 - And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

Isaiah 61:5 - And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

Isaiah 61:6 - But ye shall be named the Priests of YAHWEH: men shall call you the Ministers of our Elohim: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

Isaiah 61:7 - For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

Isaiah 61:8 - For I YAHWEH love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

Isaiah 61:9 - And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which YAHWEH hath blessed.

Isaiah 61:10 - I will greatly rejoice in YAHWEH, my soul shall be joyful in my Elohim; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Yet again, we see that Yahweh is the one who is bringing righteousness to His people. Yahweh is clothing his people with righteousness. And yet again, we see that a covenant is predicted.

So to recap so far, we have established that the Messiah will be a "trespass offering" and thus bring us the "Righteousness of Yahweh".

Psalms 98:1 - O sing unto YAHWEH a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

Psalms 98:2 - YAHWEH hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

Yahweh's right hand, his holy ARM.. the Arm of Yahweh has brought Yahweh the victory. Through His Arm, His salvation is known and His righteousness is revealed

Truly the Messiah must have the fullness of Yahweh's righteousness in Him. We read earlier that He "put on righteousness as a breastplate".

There are many other scriptures to examine. But we have seen enough to catch a glimpse of the true attributes of the Messiah. Lets compare the record of One called Yahushua the Messiah:

John 10:24 - Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Messiah, tell us plainly.

John 10:25 - Yahushua answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

John 10:26 - But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

Just like the chronicles of the Tanakh/Old Testament (and unlike mythology), much of the people, places and events that centered around the life of Yahushua the Messiah have been verified with archaeological and other historical data

A Spirit led, solid and in depth study of Matthew through Revelation will reveal the consistency these scriptures have with the Tanakh/Old Testament.

However, if we misunderstand the Tanakh, then we will likely also misunderstand Matthew-Revelation. This is because the Tanakh is the very foundation of these writings

On this web site you will find a line by line comparison of Isaiah 53 and the scriptures proving Yahushua fulfilled it in the "new testament" ( http://www.eliyah.com/themessiah.html ) as well as many more prophecies discussed.

But even as powerful and convincing as all these scriptures are, for brevity's sake many other scriptures have not been included in these studies

What other scriptures?

Scriptures showing that the Messiah would have to be born somewhere around the year 0, that His name would be Yahushua, that he would be preceded by a forerunner, that He would speak in parables, that He would humbly enter Jerusalem riding on a donkey...

Scriptures showing that He would be betrayed by a close friend for thirty pieces of silver, that he would be pierced in his hands and feet, that his bones would not be broken, that people would cast lots for His clothing...

...and that He would be not be left to corruption in the grave but would be quickly resurrected.

Also there is all the awesome imagery in the Feasts of Yahweh, the men whose lives mirrored Yahushua's. Moshe for example

One thing that is never prophesied the Messiah would do is abolish the Torah/Law. How could He? He IS the Word.

Isaiah 42:21 - YAHWEH is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

And in fact, His law is to be written in our hearts as a result of what He did

The one we often hear about whose name is changed to "Jesus" might have done away with the Torah, but Yahushua truly did not.

Yahushua promoted Torah observance such as keeping the Sabbath, keeping feasts such as Passover, Pentecost and the Feast of Tabernacles.. Not vain traditions such as Christmas, Easter and Sunday worship.

As the scriptures predicted in Psalm 110, Yahushua is at the right hand of Yahweh right now.

Who among us will let Yahushua make intercession so that we may receive Yahweh's righteousness?

Do we hear the call?

Are we willing to walk in the high calling?

Who among us will recognize the great love that Yahweh has shown for us in giving us His Son?

Who among us will respond to that love with acceptance of His plan of salvation?

Who among us will respond to that love by loving Him and our fellow man in return, by seeking to live according to Yahushua's righteous example and walk in the Torah keeping pattern that He set for us?

Will we receive Yahweh's plan of salvation and the One through whom He chose to implement it, or will we turn Him away?

Receive Him today or join the ranks of his enemies. There is no middle ground. Be ye not His enemy (Isaiah 50)!

Rather, be imitators of Him.. walking in righteousness, walking in love, walking in the Spirit which He promises to those who Repent and receive Him

Revelation 12:11 - "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Revelation 14:12 - Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of YAHWEH and the faith of Yahushua.

May we be among His saints, the ones who keep the commandments and also the faith of Yahushua

And may Yahweh bless you and have mercy on us all!

EliYah - They are called Ebionites sometimes
ConnieB - ALL the Word speaks of Messiah and each set apart appointed time speaks of Him and has through the ages
EliYah - Just be on the lookout for those who reject parts of the Word
EliYah - and beware of them
ConnieB - Yes thankyou Eliyah
Yahadah1 - < Yahadah1>Praise Yahweh, blessings to all
choosena1 - Good word EliYah
Hannah - Shabbat Shalom everyone, sorry I was late, sounds interesting meeting, will read transcipt soon.
EliYah - Blessed be Yahweh
Yahkhanan - I humbly come to you to ask what scriptures indicate to you that Yahshua is not Yahweh? This is not for controversy or debate, but just to understand.
Charley - ElkiYah , what verse in Isa. 50 is it that says be not his enemy?
EliYah - He is called Yahweh in numerous prophecies..such as the ones we shared
EliYah - But He isn't the Father
EliYah - I said be ye not His enemy because..
EliYah - Isaiah 50:11 - Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.
ConnieB - 1 Cor tells us that Messiah is under submission to Yahweh
EliYah - Isaiah 50:8 - He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
Hannah - Can I ask a questions, if Yahweh gave us the commandment not to kill, then why did they kill all the .....ites and those that were Yahweh' enemies????
EliYah - The word sorrow in vs 11 is in Hebrew "A place of pain"
ConnieB - Please may I tell what Yah has done for me?
EliYah - sure Connie
EliYah - The meaning is murder, not just kill
Yahkhanan - Thank you for responding! Is that the same teaching as the grester Yahweh and the lesser Yahweh?
ConnieB - Bud passed away very gently 5 months ago. I was left $51,000 in debt and with no income and a heart full of grief
Charley - ok I understand now about Isa 50
ConnieB - I no longer mourn Bud's passing but am full of His joy
EliYah - Yahweh is a righteous judge and He may choose to put the enemies of love, life and truth to death
ConnieB - I sing and praise in the dance around the house getting aff any threatened spirit of heavyness
EliYah - And He used Israel to do it many times
ConnieB - I now owe NO ONE any money
ConnieB - I am debt free
ConnieB - Many were forgiven and others were just miraculously taken care of
Hannah - Yes, to slay, make violence, to put to death, but why has He allowed men to kill, or murder. What about soldiers overseas??
TorahKeeper - If you live in the United States, you're probably not debt free, lol
ConnieB - I had a debt of $2000 pressing a few months back and a dear sister sent it the day I needed it and she didn't even know I needed it
EliYah - If I were a soldier, I would want to be sure I was doing Yahweh's battle
Sarai - Shabbat Shalom all!!
ConnieB - I have been awarded an income with a wodows pension for the rest of my life
VictoryYAH - HalleluYah Connie :-)
ConnieB - My meds are now being supplied to me at no cost
ConnieB - I needed a small amount of $$ that arrived today from the sweet folks of this site
ConnieB - I no longer need any financial help and want all to know how blessed I am
choosena1 - Connie-Yahushua is faithful!
ConnieB - Yahweh ha supplied all my needs
EliYah - HalleluYah
Yahadah1 - Praise Yahweh Connie
EliYah - Yahweh hears the prayers of His people
ConnieB - YES!! All prayers that have been prayed here have been answered
Hannah - So why did Yahweh tell them to take the land, implying killing those that possed the land when He had a commandment not to kill??
ConnieB - We all prayed that Bud would be healed and He is. He is healed and very much alive in Yahshua. People we are the blessed of Yahweh
TorahKeeper - he had a commandment to not murder
ConnieB - He watches over His children and hears the prayers of a righteous one.
TorahKeeper - kill and murder are two different things
ConnieB - And who is a righteous one but He that is covered by the blood of Yahshua and walks in His ways?
ConnieB - Halleluyah!!!
Yahkhanan - Eliyah, as far as Yahshua being Yahweh but not being the Father, is this the same thing as the teaching about the greater Yahweh and the lesser Yahweh?
Hannah - OK. obviously I can not see the difference between to murder or to kill, I've searched all the scriptures and they say the same, to put to death, to kill, make violence with hands etc. what is the difference.
EliYah - The commandment which tells us not to murder isn't speaking of killing in times of Yahweh's battles
EliYah - Look in the Hebrew, Hannah
choosena1 - Hannah-Some of the things Yahuwah does, He does not tell us His reasons for them
EliYah - I don't agree completely with the greater/lesser Yahweh doctrine
Yahkhanan - Murder actually means "to dash into pieces" in Hebrew
Hannah - I have, I used the strongs concordance
ConnieB - greater/lesser doctrine?
Yahkhanan - For instance we "dash into pieces" or murder the word of Yahweh
choosena1 - Sometimes Yahuwah will use His people as well as His enemies, to bring judgment to a people deserving of His judgment...
ConnieB - greater/lesser like saving a life on the Sabbath?
EliYah - Okay, then do a study on how that word is used throughout the scriptures
