Passover Memorial Supper
We are planning another gathering of Yahweh's people this year for the purposes of observing the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread. You can read about the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread by clicking this link. You can read the latest updates to this information by checking this page, or the website blog.
The way we observe this feast is with the understanding that Yahushua the Messiah is our Passover that was offered for us (1 Corinthians 5:7). It is at this time of year that we partake of the bread and fruit of the vine, symbolizing His body and blood. When we partake of Him, we are partaking of the Passover (Lamb) that was offered for us. Yahushua the Messiah died at the ninth hour (between the evenings) on the day of Passover and we plan to partake of the bread and wine on the evening after He died, which is known as the 15th day of Abib.

When you should you plan to arrive?
If you are wanting to be baptized in the name of Yahushua before partaking of the Memorial Supper, there will be a baptism service at 5:00pm on Passover day so make sure you arrive in time for that. Since Passover day is on the first day of the week, and we will be partaking of the Passover that evening, plan your trip so that you arrive sometime during the early afternoon of 4/20. We will be keeping the memorial supper that night.
Where are we holding the Feast?
This year, we are planning on holding the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread in Branson, Missouri. Branson is located in southwestern Missouri about 45 miles south of Springfield. There is an airport in Springfield, Missouri and we are willing to pick up anyone and take them to Branson on the day prior to Passover.
After a long search, checking dozens of different possible places to hold Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, including various state parks and campgrounds, we finally decided on the Thousand Hills Resort. Because it's in the "off-peak" season and we are getting a group discount, we found this to be the most economical place to fit our needs as a group.
We looked at various campgrounds with lodges, but none of them had adequate kitchen facilities along with a meeting room for all of us. We really wanted a place that included kitchen facilities for everyone so that we would not be forced to go out to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Eating at restaurants can get very expensive, with some of us having to spend $70-$150 a day just to eat. And that's only if we could find a nice kosher restaurant, which can prove to be a challenge. So even though it might cost a little bit more have a place with a full kitchen, it's still cheaper because you won't need to go out to eat. And, since we'll get to cook our own meals, we can all "break bread" together in the conference room each day :)
The 1 and 2 bedroom condos are in two large buildings right next to each other with a children's playground nearby. They will be within a block of the Conference Room where we plan to meet each day.

The costs and description of condo rentals are below. You can pay as low as $52.50 per night if you want to split the 2 bedroom condo with another family. These prices are about 40% cheaper what it would cost a person to rent these condos during the "peak season." Their web site is www.thousandhills.com if you need more information.

KOA Campground
If you prefer a campground, the KOA campground is about a mile or so from the condos. We plan on using the KOA conference room for the first 4 days of the feast so you would probably want to stay here if you wanting to camp. This may be a less expensive choice if you have your own camper or RV. Their sites are $31 to $42 per night depending on the type of RV site you want. Primitive camping is cheaper at $21 to $28, lodge rooms, park models and cabins are $43 to $100 per night. Their phone number is (417) 334-4414 if you want full details on rates. Their web site is www.bransonkoa.com.
Hebrew Roots Seminar
Branson is quite a worldly place but it gets 8 million visitors a year so it's also a great place to go out and witness to the masses. The theme of this past year's Feast of Tabernacles was learning how to work together as a group to accomplish goals. For this feast, I've set a goal that I think would be great for all of us to work together and accomplish.
I would like all of us as a group to go out together, sometimes as a group, and sometimes two by two, to seek out the lost and uninformed. For those who want to participate, we'll be witnessing in prominent places throughout the city of Branson, handing out tracts, and passing out flyers which will invite the public to a "Hebrew Roots" seminar that we'll be holding later in the week!
At the Hebrew Roots seminar, we're planning to offer a power point presentation which will educate Christians on the Hebraic roots of Christianity, how the Messiah fits into the feasts of Yahweh, the Hebrew names and all the blessings of Torah observance. The seminar will be held just after the Sabbath on 4/26/08 or 3/29/08 toward the end of the feast. So we'll have all week to invite people in the area to come!
I also plan to advertise this seminar in the local newspapers. There will be plenty of room since we're planning on renting a hall that seats up to 500.
We're also planning to do a Video Webcast of the seminar on the internet so that other people throughout the whole world can tune in as well. So you can also invite your Christian friends to watch if they have broadband. We'll also videotape the seminar and offer it on DVD. The DVD can then be used as a witnessing tool to pass out to others in your area, much like you might pass out a tract. And of course we will also be uploading the seminar video and audio to this web site for viewing anytime.
Other activities
We plan on having meetings everyday, with much praise music to Yahweh, scripture studies, and special lessons for the children, which will also be broadcast as audio and (hopefully) video on the internet in real time. If you have a topic you would like to share with the group, please contact me. There will be a baptism service prior to the partaking of the Passover meal, and we will all gather together in prayer to remember the time of Yahushua's death at "the ninth hour" on the day of Passover (approximately 4pm local time).
We also plan to share a number of communal meals throughout the feast so we can all "break (unleavened) bread" together.
There are plenty of lakes and streams around if anyone would like to do a fishing trip together. Bring your fishing poles :)
Tassel making party, tea time for ladies and men's meetings are also planned. Also, the resort is on a golf course if you want to bring your family golfing. Maybe we can all plan a golf outing together one day of the feast. It might even be a good place for witnessing!
Branson itself does have some wholesome, family friendly places to see such as a small zoo where you can see a number of exotic and rare animals, feed sharks and even feed stingrays by hand. When we get together, we can decide which places we would like to go to as a group. Of course you are welcome to take your family to various places anytime.
| For those who can afford to help others to attend, we have set up a feast fund. To contribute, click this donate button: |
You can also send your donation to: Treasures of Yahweh P.O. Box 1255 Ava, MO 65608. Make sure you mention that it's for the feast fund. It's helpful to have contributions done well in advance so that those who otherwise cannot afford to come will know that there are funds available and make plans. If there is any left over, we'll save it for another feast or put it in the open treasury.
Rules
There will be a Dress Code requiring modest apparel only. No see-through clothing, clothes which draw attention or reveal the shape of the private parts of the body such as low necklines and tight fitting garments. Skirts or dresses should not expose the knees when sitting down. These rules also apply when using the indoor pool. Contact me if you have any questions.
To attend, you must firmly believe in Yahushua the Messiah, believe in obeying Yahweh's feasts, and believe in keeping the Sabbath on the 7th day of the week, commonly called "Saturday."
Pets are not permitted in any of the condominiums.
You do not have to stay in a condominium if you prefer a hotel or campground. Also, if for some reason you can't make it for the whole feast, come for a few days. :)
Climate
Average temperatures for this time of year is lower 70's during the day and upper 40's at night. Bring a coat!
