Here are some of my
favorite scriptures:
I like this one because I know
that I can call upon Yahweh in a time of tribulation or trial:
Psalm
50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou
shalt glorify me..
I like this one because it reminds me that I cannot hide from Yahweh, no matter
where I go:
Psalm 139:1-16 O Yahweh, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O
Yahweh You know it altogether. 5 You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it. 7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me," Even the night shall be light about me; 12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You. 13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.
I like this scripture because I like Ruth's devotion to Yahweh and Naomi:
Ruth 1:15-17 And she said, "Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law." 16 But Ruth said: "Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your
Elohim, my Elohim. 17 Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried.
Yahweh do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me."
I like this one because I want to be a virtuous woman:
Proverbs 31:10-31 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. 12 She does him good and not evil All the days of her life. 13 She seeks wool and flax, And willingly works with her hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar. 15 She also rises while it is yet night, And provides food for her household, And a portion for her maidservants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; From her profits she plants a vineyard. 17 She girds herself with strength, And strengthens her arms. 18 She perceives that her merchandise is good, And her lamp does not go out by night. 19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hand holds the spindle. 20 She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of snow for her household, For all her household is clothed with scarlet. 22 She makes tapestry for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies sashes for the merchants. 25 Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: 29 "Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all." 30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears
Yahweh, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates.
I like this scripture because it
reminds me that I need to have love, and what love truly is:
1 Corinthians 13:1-13 Though I speak
with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have
become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have
the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though
I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am
nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and
though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 4
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself,
is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is
not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but
rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes
all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails. But whether there
are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease;
whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in
part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has
come, then that which is in part will be done away. 11 When I was a
child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but
when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in
a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall
know just as I also am known. 13 And now abide faith, hope, love,
these three; but the greatest of these is love.
I like how this reminds us that all of Yahweh's word is truth:
John 17:17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
I like this scripture because it talks
about the fruits of the Spirit, showing me what they are:
Galations
5:22-23 The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such
there is no law.
I find this scripture so encouraging:
James 1:12 Blessed
is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will
receive the crown of life which Yahweh has promised to those who love Him.
I love these chapters because
they remind us what awaits us in that heavenly kingdom! (And what will happen
before we enter):
Revelation 21:1 Now I saw
a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had
passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the
holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from Elohim, prepared as a
bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from
heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of Elohim is with men, and He will
dwell with them, and they shall be His people. Elohim Himself will be with
them and be their Elohim. 4 "And Elohim will wipe away every
tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." 5
Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new."
And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful." 6
And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the
Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely
to him who thirsts. 7 "He who overcomes shall inherit all
things, and I will be his Elohim and he shall be My son. 8
"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral,
sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which
burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." 9
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven
last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, "Come, I will show
you the bride, the Lamb's wife." 10 And he carried me away in
the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the
holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from Elohim, 11 having the
glory of Elohim. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper
stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with
twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which
are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13
three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south,
and three gates on the west. 14 Now the wall of the city had twelve
foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15
And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and
its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as
great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand
furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. 17 Then he
measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure
of a man, that is, of an angel. 18 The construction of its wall was
of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The
foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious
stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third
chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth
sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth
chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The
twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And
the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. 22
But I saw no temple in it, for the Master Elohim Almighty and the Lamb are its
temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine
in it, for the glory of Elohim illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24
And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings
of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates
shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26
And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27
But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an
abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of
Life.
Revelation 22:1 And
he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from
the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its
street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore
twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the
tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no
more curse, but the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His
servants shall serve Him. 4 They shall see His face, and His name
shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They
need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Master Elohim gives them light. And
they shall reign forever and ever. 6 Then he said to me,
"These words are faithful and true." And the Master Elohim of the
holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must
shortly take place. 7 "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is
he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book." 8 Now I,
John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to
worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. 9
Then he said to me, "See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow
servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of
this book. Worship Elohim." 10 And he said to me, "Do not
seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. 11
"He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be
filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy,
let him be holy still." 12 " And behold, I am coming
quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
13 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,
the First and the Last." 14 Blessed are those who do His
commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter
through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and
sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves
and practices a lie. 16 "I, Yahushua, have sent My angel to
testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring
of David, the Bright and Morning Star." 17 And the Spirit and
the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!"
And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life
freely. 18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the
prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, Elohim will add to him
the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes
away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Elohim shall take away his
part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are
written in this book. 20 He who testifies to these things says,
"Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Master Yahushua! 21
The grace of our Master Yahushua Messiah be with you all. Amen.
Praise Yahweh!!!
