This year, we are again planning on holding the feast at a campground about 7 miles from Eminence, Missouri. Eminence is located in the south-central part of the state.

The first day of the feast will be on 10/15/08 or 10/16/08. This will put the last day of the feast on 10/5/07 which is the day right before the Shabbat. Since the last day of the feast is on the 6th day of the week, we would encourage everyone to stay an extra day in order to avoid traveling on the Shabbat.

You will want to arrive on the day before the feast and allow for plenty of time to get your tents or campers set up. The first and last days of the feast are holy days.

UPDATE:
Registration Required

If you want to come to the feast, it is now too late to participate in the paid activities. However, you can still come to the feast! Just bring your campsite deposit with you when you come (credit cards not accepted).

CAMPGROUND INFORMATION

The campground is run by a non-denominational Christian ministry whose workers are very excited and interested in learning about the Feast of Tabernacles. The campground itself has the following amenities:

MEETINGS AND MEALS

There will be a scheduled meeting every day in the lodge, which seats up to 150 people. Each meeting will include a special lesson for children, musical praise to Yahweh, and scripture studies which center around family life, feast observance, seeking righteousness, and being overcomers as sojourners and pilgrims on the earth . If you have a topic you would like to share with the group, please contact me. Each meeting will also include a Hebrew lesson that will teach everyone how to read the Hebrew language. There will be daily quizzes so that by the end of the feast, most everyone should be able to read Hebrew. Of course, understanding what you read will be the next step for everyone :)

Meals will not be provided, but a scheduled communal meal will be planned for each of the 3 holy days so that we can all sit and have a meal together. You can fix your meals over a campfire if you like, or bring a small propane stove for camping.

CAMPSITE ACTIVITIES

The ministry that runs the campground has activities which center around learning how to accomplish goals together as brethren. I thought that it would be a nice compliment to the Feast of Tabernacles because we know that the children of Israel faced many challenges in the wilderness. Also, it seems to me that Yahweh wants us to relive an experience which includes some of the challenges and blessings of life in the wilderness. Due to persecutions, we know that the days may come when we will all need to do it again. Each of the below campsite activities will center around working together and accomplishing goals together as a group, learning spiritual lessons on the way.

The staff at this facility will set up some challenges that will require group participation in order to accomplish. Some of the challenges will require a certain amount of physical ability but others will be more of a mental or spiritual challenge. Using the camp staff's experience in working with groups, these challenges will be used to teach spiritual lessons which will help us to accomplish tasks and challenges together more effectively and more Messiah-like.

There is a fee associated with each of the below challenges because they are operated by the staff of the campground facility and require insurance. They will not charge for more than 4 persons per family. So if you have a family of 6 children and two adults, they will only charge for 4 of you. The deposits help them to plan how many people they'll need to have on staff for the day.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

The following activities don't involve the campground staff so there is no cost.

Some of the activities for children and youth:

We believe it is important to use the feasts to teach our children about the wonderful works of Yahweh. Here are some of the activities planned:

Some of the other planned activities for anyone interested:

We plan to make plenty of time for fellowship, 'round table' scripture discussions and studies, music and praising Yahweh around the campfire or in the lodge, and just getting to know each other as brothers and sisters in Yahweh.

For those who can afford to help others, we have set up a feast fund to help anyone with costs of attending the feast. Let me know if you would like to contribute or if you would like some financial assistance.

For those seeking to be baptized in the name of Yahushua the Messiah, we will be offering a baptism service during the feast.

CAMP PRICING

We have been given a 25% discount on all pricing at the campground. Furthermore, they will not charge for more than 4 members of any family. This means that if you have 2 adults and 5 children, they will only charge for 4 people total.

Figuring in this discount, the pricing for the campground and activities are as follows:

$3 $.75

$3.75 $.75 Camping using Electric & Water
$4.50 $1.50 Camping using Electric, Water & Sewer

The campground requires a deposit to reserve a campsite/room and for the campsite activities. At the end of the feast, the campsite will collect the monies and your deposit will count toward it. If you make a deposit but do not come to the feast, you will lose your deposit.
