Considering the group that put together what is known today as the 'cannon' - one can only wonder:
First one must realize that one could have only the Tanach - as did the early beleivers and survive: however , many writings of that time and prior are ignored....today.
Ask your spiritual leader if he/she believe that the sciptures were inspired? Then ask why don't we as an assembly look at the Book of Enoch qouted by Jude...or any of the others mentioned in the texts....
The key is this: does the writing affirm the TORAH - the FAther- His son and the Set-apart spirit....
Advice for the practical: and concerning the time: just seek HIS VOICE: ...you will see your teacher and hear his voice....
