Shalom Sidney,

I checked out the Pentecontad Calendar. It uses "intermission days" to keep each cycle in phase with the moon. This means that the first day of each cycle cannot be in phase with the Biblical Week. In fact it can be mathematically proved that there is no possible calendar that synchronizes the weekly cycle with the lunar cycle, because 29.5 (lunar cycle) is simply not divisible by 7 (week cycle) with even result.
The authors of this calendar chose to synchronize their pentecontad with the lunar cycle. Therefore, it does not synchronize with the weekly cycle. They cannot have it both ways. Hence, the first day of their 50 days lands on the first day of the week only by random chance with a probability of 1/7. This means that "mia twn sabbatwn" (if applied to their system) would not indicate any particular day of the week. In my judgment, their system has no relation to the biblical system. In fact, they used their contrived calendar and erroneous interpretation of history to argue for Sunday Assemblies, as they declare right up front.

Daniel
