: : Eliyahu, I do not see how you answered my question. I agree that they took Him bown before dark and burried Him that day, But my question is still. Why did the women wait until the 1st day to go and anoint His body, when they could have done it on the 6th day? I'm trying to use some logic here.

: DT,
: I would like to tell you what I think about this.....that it is the only explaniation I see that they didn't go and anoint the body of YHWSHUA after the high day had passed. I believe that Pesach, Aviv 14 was on a Thursday that year. So this would make the high day of Hag HaMatzah beginning at sunset Thursday night, which in turn would mean that Friday was the High day of Hag HaMatzah..this is why they couldn't go and anoint the body of YHWSHUA...they had to wait till after the weekly Sabbath..since the High Day went right into the Sabbath. Pesach/Aviv 14, Hag HaMatzah/Aviv 15, Sabbath/Aviv 16 & Sunday/Aviv 17...Bikkurim..resurrection of YHWSHUA. I believe that He went into the tomb right at sunset and was in the tomb on Hag HaMatzah {Aviv 15, Thurs. night/Fri. day} to fulfill that day as a picture of His burial...then He raised anytime between sunset Saturday night and dawn of the next moring--First Day/Sunday Aviv 17.

: : You appear to have a good understanding of the Wednsday/Sauterday theory and should have an answer for everything you believe, so please give me a logical answer.
: : And while your at it what proof is there that an exact 72 hours is required? I do not get that from the text quoted.

: According to ancient Jewish reckoning of a day 72 hours was not required to fulfill the three day and night senerio. See earlier post of mine.

Thank you D'vorah, for giving me a straight answer, something I have trouble getting from others. I find it frustrating, as I am sure you do also as I read your posts. Frankly I think you are a politician :)) Sometimes I see you agreeing on an issue in one post and then show evidence to the contrary in another, such as the controversy over Paul and the Wednesday/Sabbath crucifixion issue. I am not saying you contradict yourself, you just seem to "walk the fence" some times. I really have not figured you out, but time has a way of filling in the spaces. Don't get me wrong, I find your posts very interesting and I am sure we will not agree on everything, but continue to give straight answers and we will get along just fine.
