: I call that a NEW COVENANT.
Yes, my error, based on a less than perfect translation--the KJV, upon which Strong's Concordance is based. This was the reference I used to search for "New Covenant." Thank you for the correction. I had previously recognized the superiority of "New Covenant" over "New Testament," but did not recall the passage when searching in the Strong's.
: You don't like Paul and you don't like Luke.
I'd venture to say that YaHUshua doesn't like them, either.
: It seems you really want to pick and choose and make your own traditions of
: man.
Hardly. Any observer of my walk could readily see that it is not my intention to follow the traditions/trends/conventions of man, nor to create my own. Br. Eliyah showed me that it may be improper to write the Sh'ma on the doorposts, but rather to write "these things which I command you this day" on them, as it was meant.
The Biblical errors are small, and not very important.
????
I assume that you are referring to real errors and contradictions in the Scriptures, mostly rearing their ugly heads in the writings of Paul. Again, just because you state something to be so, without even qualifying your statement, you think that it makes it so! Error is VERY important, and needs to be dealed with, whether we have the stomach to do so or not.
: Even the
: TRINITY is not a big issue involving salvation, unless you make it one.
That is a matter of your opinion.
: Why don't you just throw out the whole Bible, and make your own?
And why don't you accept all of the apocrypha, pseudepigrapha, New Testament apocrypha, Gnostic scripture, etc. as canonical, authoritative writing?
: Perhaps
: you have.
No, I have not. I simply don't accept everything that comes across the board just because fellow believers do so.
: Both Old and New Covenants are valid, but each little splinter of us wants
: to be exclusive. Jews/Hebrew wanna be's want to have the OT just as they
: interpret. Christians want to have Jesus all to themselves. God is bigger
: than that and bigger than you or me.
Yes, "Gawd" is a very big daemon, I'm sure.
: The problem is such as you intimidate those gentler souls and make them
: feel unlearned and stupid.
If they find themselves feeling that way, that is beyond my control. And if they do, this should serve to drive them to study. If feeling stupid and unlearned causes them to give up the fight, then they weren't ready for some of the walk's bigger tests, were they? And should I act like I am more unlearned and stupid than I am, just to keep others from feeling unlearned and stupid? Should I bury my talents? I know, I should act unlearned and stupid just so others like yourself can appear learned and intelligent! Yeah, that's it. That way we can all accept false prophecy unquestioningly. C'mon, man! Get real.
: Learn a bit of compassion.
I have no compassion for false prophecies or false prophets. Why don't you repent and become a true prophet uttering true prophecies?
: Do you even know the spiritual sacrifices of the
: Bible(OLD OR NEW)? These are do good, justice, mercy, fasting, praise,
: commitment, obedience, offerings, prayer, righteousness, sharing,
: forgiveness, thanksgiving, giving, tithes, and a humble walk with
: Messiah/YHWH.
Oh, and where did you find this convenient little list?
