I believe Babylon, the city, was destroyed prior to the Messiah's
appearance, but the geographic area was still called Babylon.
That is why the the predominant Talmud is called the Babylonian
Talmud and we know that is was compiled after the first century C.E..
The catholic priesthood is nothing more than an extension of
