A "Season of Resistance" Hanukkah celebration will be held on Shabbat day, Dec. 20, 2003, in south-central Pennsylvania in Carlisle, 20 miles west of Harrisburg, near the junction of I-81 and I-76. Hello to all those believers, I have recently found out the meaning of my name Michael(one who is like GOD) and my middle name in Greek Theodore means Gift from God, I realized the symbology and knows that I am truly special. I have been studying this type of info for about two years, I tried sharing some of it with friends and family but they think that I 've gone crazy or something, but the truth is the truth, I explained and questioned pastors about the sabbath day long before I ever read any of the information we have today, but I was told not to question it just go along with it. I will definitely love fellowshiping with others who share the same faith. I am in thirst for knowledge and is seeking others who are on the same path as me. I am young 24 and I hope that by me learning early will instill in me the knowledge and spirit to teach to my children some day. I believed that "Yahweh" was the real name of our Heavenly Father, and "Yahshua" is the name of our savior. "Yahshua" means "Yahweh is Salvation".

I would like to communicate with names, sabbath and feast keeping beleivers who also adhere to the same gospel-faith and full message of salvation that was once delivered regarding healing as well as the message of the gift of eternal life-salvation. Psalms 67:1-2 in the old testament addresses it well, "Yahweh be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations." Most of the new testament demonstrated this in the life of the Messiah and his true disciples and those they contacted. 1 Thes 5: 23-24 and 1 John 9: 1-7 with vs 4 stating "It is necessary for Me to work the works of Him who sent me....." being revelant. ts

We are a Messianic Jewish congregation (we do use the names Yeshua and Yahweh). More important than any other doctrine is the belief that Yeshua is the Messiah! and that both Jews and Gentiles need a close relationship with Him. We meet on Sabbath mornings and there are weekly cell groups in the Northern Virginia area and in Maryland.
