A "Season of Resistance" Hanukkah celebration will be held on Shabbat day, Dec. 20, 2003, in south-central Pennsylvania in Carlisle, 20 miles west of Harrisburg, near the junction of I-81 and I-76. My wife, Robin and I are believers in Yeshua, or Jesus, if you prefer. I am of Jewish heritage, she is Gentile. We are staying and probably settling in Beaver, Pa. We have barely begun to hold our own Shabbat observance in our dwellingplace. I feel that the recent war with Iraq was contrary to Christian (or Messianic, if you prefer) principles, and thus I opposed it on those grounds. Robin agreed with me. I am a heavy nicotine addict, and Robin smokes as well. We have begun (in our observance) reading from the beginnings of the Books of the Prophets, Psalms, Epistles, and Gospels. We want to continue, each Shabbat, reading through those sections of the Bible, and we feel that if anything is to be emphasized it should be the Gospels. I follow the Hebrew Messiah Yahshua and the Father creator Yahweh to the best of my ability. I seek to completely come out of Mystery Babylon (the christian religion) so I can be accepted by Yahshua. We belive that Yeshua is the Messiah. Torah is still valid. It is the basis for the new testament(Brit Hadashah). The festivals and feasts are still valid. Yahweh never ever changes. He does not break his own covenants. The Jewish people are still the chosen people, Yeshua came for them first, but he saves all who ask. We belong to a Messianic Congregation in Salem Oregon.
