I thought I was the only Gentile believer in Maine who de-sired to be Torah-observant. There are no Messianic congre-gations in my area but would love to receive e-mails from other Torah-observant believers. Is there anyone out there that would be willing to teach me how to live a Torah life? I can get no real support from my church and my wife does not hold to my beliefs. I am starting a yahoo group for the following women: We are women who are obedient to Yahweh's Laws and joyfully celebrate Yah's Biblical Feasts and 7th day Sabbath (Saturday). We believe in dressing modestly, Biblical submission, headcovering and teaching our children at home. We seek to follow the old paths. We also love to talk about whatever is on our hearts; how we keep the Sabbath; eating a healthy, kosher diet; organic gardening; herbal healing; sewing; ect., and plan to have regular discussion topics each month. **Beginning in March 2003 we hope to be discussing the topic of an Excellent Wife based on the book by Martha Peace. we keep the weekly shabbat and annual feast days, and of course the clean meats laws.. we fellowship in Mom's apartment (which is across the hall from my own), one reason being because Mom has much more difficulty now getting around (she has parkinson's)... but also because we believe it is how the earlier assemblies fellowshipped.

Our beliefs are very similar to Eliyah's page.We come from a COG background,but discovered the need to look at our "hebrew roots" and to use the name Yahshua(instead of the Greek Jesus).We currently keep Sabbath at home,doing Torah readings with our 4 children.We are looking for someone to keep the Sabbath with that has similar beliefs within northern New England.We'd love to hear from ANYONE who is relatively "in the area".
