The Adversary – the Defeated One (Satan) – has been trying to deceive mankind since the beginning, and he’s done a pretty good job of it. We’re striving to return to “the faith once delivered” (Jude 3) and follow obediently in the footsteps of Yahshua the Messiah.
We observe the weekly seventh-day Sabbath (Saturday) and the annual festivals of Yahweh, just as Yahshua Messiah and His 1st Century disciples did (Luke 4:16; 22:8-15; John 7:2, 10; Acts 13:42-46, 17:2, 18:4, 18:21, 20:6, 20:16; I Cor. 5:7-8, etc.).
We also call upon our heavenly Father by His personal, revealed, memorial Name – Yahweh (Exod. 3:15). This Name has been erroneously replaced over 6,500 times in most English versions of the Scriptures with a generic title – “the LORD” – yet most Bible scholars acknowledge that the Father’s Name in the original texts is, in fact, Yahweh.
There are many sincere, committed individuals in the world who have become burned out on “religion” and religious programs, yet who long for true praise & worship, a sense of belonging, and close interpersonal relationships. I preached for the church of ch.... before discovering the Shabbat truth, so Sunday worshipping was over and so was my preaching for Sunday churches too. Now we fellowship with local families in our homes here in Cullman County, Alabama. We use the true Names of the Father and His Son. We call the Names alittle differently than most because of our studies about the Names. We call the Messiah, Yahuah (YHWH), and the Father we call Yahu (YH). One reason we do this is because we think the Scriptures teach that Messiah Yahuah(YHWH) was the pillar of fire and the cloud that was with His people, the Yahudim, during the exodus from Mitsrayim(Egypt) as 1 Corinthians chapter 10 reveals. There are Scriptures like Yeshayahu(Isaiah) 26:4 and other text of Scripture that use YH (Yahu) and YHWH (Yahuah) as well. We do not think that YHWH changes, so therefore His Name which reflects Him will not change either. Yahushua, may have been the name He was called while He walked the earth during the first century, for some very good reasons. If He was called YHWH(Yahuah) then it would have been easy to find Him to kill Him for the fears of Herod, because He would have been the only child called by the Name that was not used during the first century. So, the messenger who told His parents what to call Him knew that if they called Him by the wonderful and awesome Name of YHWH they would have killed the whole family for blasphemy. However, we will not force or condemn you or anyone for using a Name from the Scriptures. We love the Word of Yahuah and we love people that are seeking to be like Him. I was raised First Baptist; my Grandparents saw to it that I was in Church from cradle roll to intermediate - I accepted the Holy Spirit at age 11, was Baptized and joined the Church. My parents did not attend but my Mother read to me stories from the Bible and Classical literature as a child. She was of Jewish ancestry but she did not know or would not admit it. My Dad did not like Church for some reason, I do not know; I was 13 years old when he died and my mother took us to another town; I stopped going to Church then.
I came to be Torah observant after College and accepted the Sacred Names about 10 years later. That was over 30 years ago.
