Distributing Truth Tracts - Legal Issues

I am interested in handing out and publicly posting EliYah's "Truth Tracts for Proclaiming the Way of Yahweh" here in Canada. My wife tells me that it is illegal to do this in Canada as a result of Canada's Hate Laws. My common sense leads me to believe that this would be in conflict with my freedom of speech protection under The Canadian Constitution.

I've tried an internet search for this issue but, at this point, I am confused. Does anyone know anything about this issue as it applies to Canada or other parts of the world? Is it legal to distribute religious tracts?

I would probably hand them out anyway...when they come for our Scriptures or outlaw them to have one day, I would still pass one on to a hungry believer. I use eliyah's tracts and vistaprint business cards to hand out to those who are interested.

I do not know the details of those kinds of laws, but the fundamental (foundational) principles behind them are good, right and comprehensible. Overall, Yahuah grants freedom of will to each and all, and He never gives any of us any right or authority to impose anything upon anyone else along that kind of line (unless a law has been broken, of course).

"Freedom of speech" is a mankind-granted right to speak freely during governmental assembly and does not include any kind of "right to preach in public", as such. Hence, and since we are never told to go around posting things we already know other people "will" to not hear, it is actually sad that a law prohibiting people from doing things publicly that others find offensive even had to be made.

To help others, we must meet at them at their points of need when *they* become aware and begin asking...and to help them get there typically takes far more from us than a tract anyway.
