Hello to everybody.
This is my first time here and I have a huge confusion in my life.
I hope that somebody will be able to help me out of my confusion. For the last 14 months YHWH has been teaching me about the Hebrew heritage of his Son and what it actually means for me as a person that has accepted His Son as my Savior. If I accept Him as savior then I must accept His Hebrew heritage as well. I can not accept a part of Him, the cross, and ignore the rest of Him.
I am now on a journey of learning about His hebrew heritage, but what is very confusing to me is the names. Some call Him Yeshua, others call Him Y'shua or Yashua or Yahushua or Yehushua. Which one is then the correct one to use? Or does the correct Hebrew spelling not matter? How can the hebrew spelling for Joshua and Jesus be the same? Should the name of the Son of God not be different from Joshua?
I also believe that there will come a time when the name Jesus will not be honored by the Father anymore, because the antichrist will be using this name and then the true name of His Son will be honored and only that name.
And then the there is also the name of God himself. Some spell it YHVH because there is apparently no letter W in Hebrew and others spell it YHWH. Which is the correct name to use?
I believe that contained in your name is your character and therefor the correct spelling is important. I used to be called Roné, but YHWH changed it. He called me by my birthname, Maria, and after a long battle and Him revealing the truth about my life to me, I changed my name to Maria because that was the true me, not the second personality the world formed (Rone).
I have read so many articles about the name of Yahushua, but I am still confused. So I would really appreciate it if someone could just explain to me why there are so many different spellings.
Blessings to everyone.
Maria
