Shalom,
I am T of Y_and_T. Below is a poem my husband wrote this erev shabbat. It was inspired by Rom. 12:1 and Ps. 141:2 May it bring glory to Yahweh's name:
Sweet Aroma
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Elohim,
Oh that there may be no more hindrance, just look to our King,
That ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable,
That you may give love by and by, to the unlovable.
Unto Elohim, which is your reasonable service.
Oh to love one another is pleasing to Him.
A sweet aroma we need be,
A Holy sacrifice unto the King.
Surrender all fears and doubt,
Let us sing and let us shout,
Holy, Holy, be the one who sits afar.
Enthroned on high with all scars.
Yea, nail imprints you see.
“Come child”, said he.
“Be set apart like me.
Surrender fear and pain and be free.
For I bore all your iniquities.
Here, lay them at my feet.
Let you be broken and contrite.
Holiness to you is my cry.”
May songs of Healing in you begin.
Remember he first loved us while in sin.
I beseech you therefore brethren, let his mercy reign.
For without it all life on earth is just vain.
To this let us say again, again and again.
To the Holy one Amein, Amein and Amein.
