Shalom in the Name of Yah and His wonderful Messiah,
i've been thinking for the last couple of weeks that this place needs a specific outlet for those here who pour their hearts out with pen and ink, to the edification of us all. and after seeing some recent posts on the Scripture forum, my thoughts have been confirmed.
so here is the place to post your poetry to Yah, your praise and struggles that have helped you through difficult times, and remind you where you have come from as well as what blessings you are headed toward, being led down the path of Torah by His Spirit to the Kingdom made manifest.
so feel free to add edification to the brothers and sisters!
here is one of my own to kick it off:
Adoption
A longing birthed deep inside my soul For a Home at last to call my own. A Place where righteousness is in control, Where peace dwells within my very bone.
A Palace bricked with adoring praise Unto a Father we have yet to see. A Tabernacle to an amazing grace That turned our hearts to love and set us free.
A Tent where we can fellowship In a homecoming so long awaited for. A rest at last from this toilsome trip; An end to this self-inflicted civil war.
A Sanctuary in the midst of time Touching the portals of the infinite. A Kingdom laid with worship sublime By a love unsearchable but intimate.
A relationship bound by covenant To a unity that cannot be undone. A meeting of our every need and want, Adopted into the Person of the Son.

</font> Burning One, I think this is a wonderful idea! Your poem was beautiful, it is one of the best I've read and I am going to write it in my notebook. I'm not much of a poet myself but I do find it edifying! I made an analogy of the pen being like a tongue or two edged sword in a letter recently. Here is a poem I like: Reality of Life Life isn't just full of happiness, It's sunsets, it's love, it's tears. It's the thoughts of yesterday's memories, That can wash away all out fears. It's that very painful experience, That each one of us has had. It's the laughter that fills the air, It's the tears when you are sad. It's loving that someone special, That at one time made you smile. It's the pain of losing that person, But the memories that make it worthwhile. It's that child in every one of us, Although in time we'll all be old. It's the good times we'll never forget, It's the memories we'll always hold. It's the hug that we all need, When we'd rather drown in our sorrow. It's the hope in every one of us, That makes us hold on for tomorrow.Copyright © By Stephanie Clark One of AdoniYah's fav verses is: Mat 6:34 “Do not, then, worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow shall have its own worries. Each day has enough evil of itself. He even had it as a website address at one time. [This message has been edited by naesimo (edited 11-05-2007).]

One of AdoniYah's fav verses is: Mat 6:34 “Do not, then, worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow shall have its own worries. Each day has enough evil of itself.
Naesimo, that is one of my favorite verses of scripture, probably because in the Old English KJV, it was the first to stick in my mind as a poetic example of pure truth.
KJV: Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

What Matt 6:34 is saying is don't "worry" about tomorrow or is it saying don't even think about tomorrow at all? It is very poetic. Shalom, Naesimo

Hos 2:16 And it shall be at that day, saith YHWH, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. 17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name. 18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely. 19 And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. 20 I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know YHWH. 21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith YHWH, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; 22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel. 23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my Elohim.
Shalom all
YHWH gave me the song and melody in my heart after reading the passage above. I cannot write music, so I share this is a poem. May the words bless and inspire you as they do me! All praise to YHWH.
Our Betrothal
Here I stand, YOou pledge to me your troth We are finally together, One spirit, one breath Your love is flowing within me And Your love I return to you
....I pledge to be faithful forever, To YOUR righteousness and judgments, Your lovingkindess and mercy I am Yours YHWH!
For you took me to You forever as YOU said YOU would, You betrothed me in Your faithfulness Your righteousness is who I am Your judgments stand forever I'm cleansed by YOUR mercy You made Yourself known to me. Heaven and earth stands as a witness this day, The whole earth shouts Your glory!
And I? .... ....I pledge to be faithful forever, To Your righteousness and judgments, Your lovingkindness and mercy I am Yours YHWH
Words and melody--YHWH

Shalom Burning One,
We will post more as they are revealed to her. She sometimes has them floating around in her head for days at a time, before they "congeal" into a full fledged poem.
She is blessed to have such talent bestowed on her. We give all praise to our Father! PRAISE YAHUAH!
Take care,
angeL and story

I really enjoyed reading everyone's poetry, my notebook is going to be full sooner than I thought! Shield of David said: <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Occult means secret things. Often reproaches of things cause us to discount all things that may appear related. The satanic occult is meaning the secret things of satan. Satan does not have a lock on "secret things." In fact, YHWH is the creator of all things, revealed visibly, or unseen and secret.</font> This is dedicated to Messiah: Title: On Fire lyrics Artist: Switchfoot They tell you where you need to go Tell you when you’ll need to leave Tell you what you need to know Tell you who you need to be But everything inside you knows There's more than what you’ve heard There's So much more than empty conversations Filled with empty words Chorus: And you’re on fire When He’s near you You’re on fire When He speaks You’re on fire Burning hot at these mysteries Give me one more time around Give me one more chance to see yeah Give me everything You are Give me one more chance to be... (near You) When everything inside me looks like Everything I hate You are the hope I have for change You are the only chance I’ll take Chorus: When I’m on fire When You’re near me I’m on fire When You speak And I’m on fire Burning hot at these mysteries These mysteries... mysteries mysteries You're on fire You're on fire You're on fire I’m standing on the edge of me (x3) I’m standing on the edge I’m standing on the of everything I've never been before I’m standing on the edge I’m standing on the edge Chorus: And I’m on fire When You’re near me I’m on fire When You speak (yeah) I’m on fire Burning hot at these mysteries... Title: The Beautiful Letdown lyrics
Artist: Switchfoot
I think this is a great song about how we don't belong to the "world" anymore since we are in Messiah Yahshua!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a beautiful letdown When I crashed and burned When I found myself alone Unknown and hurt It was a beautiful letdown The day I knew That all the riches this world had to offer me Would never do
In a world full of bitter pain And bitter doubts I was trying so hard to fit in Fit in, until I found out
I don't belong here (I don't belong) *AHEM*...that is "the world" FYI I don't belong here (I don't belong) I will carry a cross and a song Where I don't belong I don't belong
It was a beautiful letdown When You found me here Yeah, for once in a rare blue moon I see everything clear I'll be a beautiful letdown That's what I'll forever be And though it may cost my soul I'll sing for free
We're still chasing our tails In the rising sun In our dark water planet still spinning In a direction no one wins No one's won.
See, I don't belong here (I don't belong) Well, I don't belong here, I don't belong I will carry a cross With a song where I don't belong I don't belong I don't belong here (I don't belong) No, I don't belong here, I don't belong I'm gonna set side And set sail For the kingdom come, kingdom come Your kingdom come Won't you let me down, yeah Let my foolish pride forever let me down
Ah, Easy living, you're not much like the name Easy dying, you look just about the same Would you please take me off your list Easy living please c'mon and let me down
We are a beautiful letdown Painfully unkewl The church of the dropouts The losers, the sinners, the failures, and the fools What a beautiful letdown Are we salt in the wound? Hey, let us sing one true tune!
YEAH!
I don't belong here (I don't belong) It feels like I don't belong here, yeah yeah It goes like I don't belong here I don't belong (I don't belong) Won't you let me down (I don't belong) C'mon and let me down (I don't belong) You always let me down (I don't belong) So glad that I'm let down (I don't belong) C'mon and let me down (I don't belong) 'Cause I don't belong here Won't you let me down!
Ain't it AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

SWITCHFOOT LYRICS
"Meant To Live"
Fumbling his confidence And wondering why the world has passed him by Hoping that he's bent for more than arguments And failed attempts to fly, fly
[Chorus] We were meant to live for so much more Have we lost ourselves? Somewhere we live inside Somewhere we live inside We were meant to live for so much more Have we lost ourselves? Somewhere we live inside
Dreaming about Providence And whether mice or men have second tries Maybe we've been livin' with our eyes half open? Maybe we're bent and broken, broken?
[Chorus] We were meant to live for so much more Have we lost ourselves? Somewhere we live inside Somewhere we live inside We were meant to live for so much more Have we lost ourselves? Somewhere we live inside
We want more than this world's got to offer We want more than this world's got to offer We want more than the wars of our fathers And everything inside............ screams for second life, yyyyyeeeeaaaahhhhh!
We were meant to live for so much more Have we lost ourselves? We were meant to live for so much more Have we lost ourselves? We were meant to live for so much more Have we lost ourselves? We were meant to live! We were meant to live!

This is dedicated to Messiah:
Johnny Cash, Ring of Fire Lyrics
Love Is A Burning Thing And It Makes A Fiery Ring Bound By Wild Desire I Fell Into A Ring Of Fire
CHORUS: I Fell Into A Burning Ring Of Fire I Went Down, Down, Down And The Flames Went Higher
And It Burns, Burns, Burns The Ring Of Fire The Ring Of Fire
I Fell Into A Burning Ring Of Fire I Went Down, Down, Down And The Flames Went Higher
And It Burns, Burns, Burns The Ring Of Fire The Ring Of Fire
The Taste Of Love Is Sweet When Hearts Like Ours Meet I Fell For You Like A Child Oh, But The Fire Went Wild
CHORUS I Fell Into A Burning Ring Of Fire I Went Down, Down, Down And The Flames Went Higher
And It Burns, Burns, Burns
The Ring Of Fire
The Ring Of Fire
The Ring of Fire

To me this is what Messiah would sing to us to comfort us:
Club Escape I'll Be There
Over Mountains Over Trees Over Oceans Over Seas Across the desert I'll be there
In a whisper on the wind On the smile of a new friend Just think of Me And I'll be there
Don't be afraid, oh my love I'll be watching you from above And I'd give all the world tonight, to be with you Because I'm on your side, And I still care I may have died, but I've gone nowhere
Just think of Me, And I'll be there
On the edge of a waking dream Over Rivers Over Streams Through Wind and Rain I'll be there
Across the wide and open sky Thousands of miles I'd fly to be with you I'll be there
Don't be afraid, oh my love I'll be watching you from above And I'd give all the world tonight, to be with you Because I'm on your side, And I still care I may have died, but I've gone nowhere
Just think of Me, And I'll be there Just think of Me, And I'll be there
Don't be afraid, oh my love I'll be watching you from above And I'd give all the world tonight, to be with you Because I'm on your side, And I still care I may have died, but I've gone nowhere
Just think of Me, And I'll be there
Just think of Me, And I'll be there
Think of me, I'll be there

This is a very healing song, not just for spouses but also others that are close to us that we can hurt sometimes. Like other brethren and the least of these.
Michael Buble Always on my mind
Maybe I didn't treat you Quite as good as I should have Maybe I didn't love you Quite as often as I could have Little things I should have said & done I just never took the time
But you were always on my mind You were always on my mind
Maybe I didn't hold you All those lonely, lonely times And I guess I never told you I'm so happy that you're mine If I made you feel second best Girl, I'm sorry I was blind
You were always on my mind You were always on my mind
Tell me, tell me that your Sweet love hasn't died Give me, give me one more chance To keep you satisfied Satisfied
Little things I should have said & done I just never took the time
But you were always on my mind You were always on my mind You were always on my mind You were always on my mind

I think this is a good song about priorities.
Michael Buble Lyrics
"Can't Buy Me Love"
I'll buy you a diamond ring, my friend, if it makes you feel alright I'll get you anything, my friend, if it makes you feel alright 'Cause I don't care too Much for money Money can't buy me love
I'll give you all I've got to give, if you say you love me too I may not have a lot to give, but what I got I'll give to you Don't care too Much for money Money can't buy me love Can't buy me love, everybody tells me so You Can't buy me love, no no no, no!!!!!!!
Say you don't need no diamond ring, and I'll be satisfied Tell me that you want the kind of things, that money just can't buy I don't care too Much for money Money can't buy me love
I'll give you all I've got to give, if you say you love me too I may not have a lot to give, but what I got I'll give to you Don't care too Much for money Money Money
Say you don't need no diamond rings, and I'll be satisfied Tell me that you want the kind of things, that money just can't buy I don't care too Much for money Money can't buy me love
Can't buy me love,
And with a love like that you know you should be glad!
With a love like that you should be glad!
With a love like that you know you should be glad!
With a love like that you know you should be glad!

Burning One,
I have another reason to thank you for starting this topic. AdoniYah wrote two poems last night. He's never wrote any poetry before!!! I am not much of a poet but I am excited that YHWH may have given AdoniYah a gift for it!!! I have to again thank Him for all that He is/has done for us and our marriage. HalleluYah!
Grace, Love, and Mercy
I lay down my pride, I lay it at your feet I bow down before you, A humble willing servant Take me, Break me, Then build me up again. A wretched man of flesh and bone, Light and darkness wage war within Pour me out, empty this vessel, Then fill me up once more. Grace, Love, and Mercy, Your Spirit overwhelms Do I deserve? Will you remember? "Child", I hear you say, "Come to me Salvation is yours If you choose to follow the Way."
Our Journey
Our destination lies ahead, Calling us into His embrace. We set our feet and begin to walk, All the while yearning to take our place. As we progress our pace starts to slow, We become distracted by the passing scenes. The temptations call, But we fight those desires Continuing on. Pleased that we have turned away, Farther along our flesh feels so frail It cries out for the old ways, Lame I have become, I feel somewhat withered We pray for just a drop more strength, Please carry us Abba just one more time And help us through these days, My body stumbles, We move to and froe Yet my mind races straight without sway. We long for the joy of the journeys end But my body tries to fail me once again. Each step brings us pain, More constant reminders Of who, what, and where I am. I have now become parched, I begin to fade away Longing for a drink to quench this thirst. When the soul has grown weary We hear a voice from the Heavens Saying Faith…Hope…Love. We drink our fill of these words of living water And are on course yet again. Although the world around has become dark A shining light guides our way. Our destination lies ahead, Calling us into His embrace. I set my feet and we begin to walk, All the while yearning to take our place.

[This message has been edited by becky (edited 11-08-2007).]</font> Shalom becky, Thank you for the compliment. I will pass it along through prayer to Father Yahweh. All praise and glory to Him. I started typing a few lines last night and this is what I ended up with. The Living ElohimSigns and wonders They abound all around Nature proclaims His Name. He is the Living Elohim Blessing us with His presence Yet we struggle to share our day. We pick up our pace Long strides of content bliss Never noticing what He has to share. Unseeing to our Left Unseeing to our right Cumbersome blinders block our view. Our attention is stolen Sometimes given away For the trappings of an unholy world. Bells and whistles Sparkling lights Enticing spender with every gaze. Lead astray What have we become? Dwelling in a prison without walls. Take a moment to breath Let out a sigh Step away from the ways of man. The Living Elohim will open the gates Freeing your mind Pardoned from your self-imposed sentence. Look here, Look there The blinders are gone A splendid world waits. Signs and wonders They abound all around Nature proclaims His Name. He is the Living Elohim Blessed are we with His presence We strive to share our day. We now slow our pace Long strides of hopeful bliss Now noticing what He has to share. Glory on our Left Magnificence on our right Nothing can block our view. Our attention never wavers Nor is it given away As we gaze at His wonderful creations. The soft grass under foot Birds swooping in flight The wind on my sun warmed cheek. These wonders declare His Holy Name And proclaim His glory on High. Shalom to all and I pray you have a blessed day! ------------------ Shalom, AdoniYah www.hopeville.net www.hopeville.net/AdoniYah email: adoniyah at hopeville dot net

I STILL BELIEVE by Jeremy Camp
Scattered words and empty thoughts seem to pour from my heart. I’ve never felt so torn before, seems I don’t know where to start. But it’s now that I feel Your grace fall like rain, from every fingertip, washing away my pain.
(Chorus) I still believe in Your faithfulness, I still believe in Your truth, I still believe in Your holy words. Even when I don’t see, I still believe.
Though the questions still fog up my mind with promises I still seem to bear, even when answers slowly unwind, it’s my heart I see You prepare. But it’s now that I feel Your grace fall like rain, from every fingertip, washing away my pain. (Chorus)
The only place I can go is into Your arms, where I throw to you my feeble prayers in brokenness. I can see that this was your will for me, help me to know you are near. (Chorus)

Shalom, After having a talk with an employee of mine last night who is struggling with some life issues I thanked Yahweh for giving the words to speak during our conversation. I thought about how my trials and hardships so far in my life gave me something to connect to him with. I couldn't cure him of his issues but at least he knows he is not the only person dealing with these problems.
Why?
Why did I hurt? Why did I need? Pain seared my fragile soul Then vanished, letting me be
Reflecting on the past Shadowed memories brought to light Proclaiming who I once was Sharing how I was losing the fight
Through most of my life questions lingered, Answers alluded, always evading I hungered for release from my transgressions, Saved by grace was I through death Glory be to my Savior
Covered with scars From choices made Now worn as medals On permanent display
Unhidden emotions Worn on my sleeve Out in the open For everyone to see
A journey of heartache Blood, sweet and tears My life a living sacrifice I pray He will hear
Rejoice in your suffering Lessons learned through it all For when a broken heart cries I can now answer the call
Why did I hurt? Why did I need?
To become the person I am Who He wants me to be
May Yahweh take me, break me and build me up again a better man than I was before.
Shalom, AdoniYah

To those who worry about this country and what kind of influence we have on the rest of the world.
And especially keeping in mind military and their families.
Linkin Park Hands Held High Lyrics
Turn my mic up louder I got to say somethin. Lightweights step it aside when we come in Feel it in your chest, the syllables get pumpin People on the street they panic and start running. Words on loose leaf sheet complete coming. I jump in my mind and summon the rhyme i'm dumping. Healing the blind I promise to let the sun in Sick of the dark ways we march to the drum and Jump when they tell us that they wanna to see jumping. (radio edit) that, I wanna see some fist pumping. risk something, take back what's yours say something that you know they might attack you for cause I'm sick of being treated like I have before like it's stupid standing for what I'm standing for. Like this war's really just a different brand of war. Like it doesn't cater to rich and abandon poor. Like they understand you in the back of the jet, when you can't put gas in your tank, and these (radio edit) are laughing their way to the bank, cashing the check asking you to have compassion, have respect for a leader so nervous in an obvious way Stuttering and mumbling for nightly news to replay and the rest of the world watching at the end of the day in the living room laughing like what did he say?
Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen
In my living room watching, I am not laughing, Cause when it gets tense I know what might happen The world is cold, the bold men take action have to react or get blown into fractions. Ten years old, it's something to see, another kid my age drug under a jeep, taken and bound, and found later under a tree, I wonder if he had thought the next one could be me.
Do you see, the soldiers, they're out today they Brush the dust from bulletproof vests away. It's ironic, at times like this you pray, but a bomb blew the mosque up yesterday. There's bombs on the buses, bikes, roads, inside your market, your shops, your clothes, my dad, He's got a lot of fear I know but enough pride inside not to let that show. My brother had a book he would hold with pride A little red cover with a broken spine. On the back, he hand wrote a quote inside: "when the rich wage war, it's the poor who die" And meanwhile, the leader just talks away Stuttering and mumbling for nightly news to replay and the rest of the world watching at the end of the day both scared and angry like what did he say?
Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen.
With hands held high into a sky so blue as the ocean opens up to swallow you. ________________________________________________________________
Linkin Park No More Sorrow Lyrics
Are you lost, In your lies? Do you tell yourself, I don't realize? Your crusade's a disguise Replace freedom with fear, You trade money for lives.
I'm aware of what you've done.
No, no more sorrow. I've paid for your mistakes. Your time is borrowed. Your time has come to be replaced.
I see pain, I see need. I see liars and thieves, Abuse power with greed. I had hope, I believed. But I'm beginning to think that I've been deceived.
You will pay for what you've done.
No, no more sorrow. I've paid for your mistakes. Your time is borrowed. Your time has come to be replaced.
Thieves and hypocrites. Thieves and hypocrites. Thieves and hypocrites.
No, no more sorrow. I've paid for your mistakes. Your time is borrowed. Your time has come to be replaced.
No more sorrow. I've paid for your mistakes. Your time is borrowed. Your time has come to be replaced.
Your time has come to be replaced. Your time has come to be erased.

here is another of mine from back in '01
Forged In Faith
Now beckons the lure of a clandestine dream: Where the past was yet to be, and not as it would seem. With that vision comes tidings born with a breath - A whisper of an echo of an ancient Garden death.
In the mists of my memories a form takes shape: It coils ‘round the hearts of the souls it will rape. The acid taste of poison still rests upon my tongue; The venom of all slavery from the song it once sung.
It is the regrets and the guilts of a paradise I betrayed By the pride in my heart from the ignorance I displayed. It was a revolution against the worship that made me more than dust; An uprising against that awe which slew my innate holy lust.
I fell from His glory by a simple act so absurd, And once formed in His image, now that image was blurred. I corrupted His breath, and so, too, this clay, When I forfeited eternity to court vanity for a day.
In Adam I tasted of the fruit of the tree, And lost both what I was and what I could be. I abdicated my title of prince of the earth And severed any ties that gave me any worth.
Innocence became a utopia, an undiscovered country, A fable and a hope for a world steeped in slavery. And though ignorance was the closest virtue I had found to liberty, In the end I knew it’s heart was betrothed to anarchy.
For when I plummeted to the depths of perversion and sin, I worshipped with ignorance the serpent I let win. The tree of knowledge promised something so profound, But one taste of the fruit and all my dreams were bound.
The wisdom that it offered was thistle and sharp thorn, A shackling of my spirit to this earth where I was born. I had hoped the path I had chosen held all that could be known, But Yah inhabits a wisdom that even the serpent had not been shown.
There He stands unmoving, only relative in the way He is absolute. And though I cannot express it, it is something I just can’t refute. I know this aspect of my faith is a must if El is truly real, For I’ve pledged my breath to Him in spite of what I think I know or feel.
So this faith I carry is an anthem in an El I cannot tame, And thus my belief consumes my doubt with an undying flame. It is reshaping my spirit into what I will someday be: A creature forged in faith, and fashioned for eternity.

Here I stand, Bruised and filled with pity, And I give YOU my heart, I tell you of my sorrows, I tell you of my shame, I tell you of my brokeness I call out to YOU in pain.
Your loving eyes look into mine And then I discover pain, You show me scar filled hands and feet, You let me see YOUR shame, Never did I bleed as YOU, Never was I smitten Never did I give my life, As Yahushua did for me...
Self pity is for selfish ones, Who do not see YOUR love, Who prefer self pity over You, Who rather boast of pain, Who in so doing, deny the ONE Who died and rose again
May my boast be of YOU YHWH, May my words of me be few Self pity is a boast of evil In YOUR love, YOU overcame You triumphed over all evil Your gave YOUR live for me With my breath YOUR praise I tell Yahushua, yes Emmanuel!
Co-authored with YHWH. He gave the words, I wrote them down.
Blessings, Tamar

Shalom Tamar,
that was a beautiful poem. and with such a wonderful, well-needed message!
thank you for sharing and being used by the Father!
**just a further thought**
i had to come back and add this, after considering your poem once more, specifically this line:
"Self pity is for selfish ones,"
if you were to transliterate the word "selfish" into Hebrew, you might end up with the following "seleph-ish." the word "ish" probably readily stands out as being the word for "man," and the word "seleph" simply means "perversness/wickedness/twistedness." so a selfish person is one whose proper focus has been "twisted or perverted" away from the Father and His Son, to themselves. our attention and focus in life is not to be on ourselves - we are to die to self and let Messiah love and live and move and minister through us.
just a thought i wanted to add! hope it was uplifting in some way.
Chayim b'Moshiach (Life in Messiah)

Shalom naesimo,
i was just reading back through the other poems/songs posted on here and read your posts about AdoniYah.
what an awesome thing concerning his poems! the Father is good and does good to and through His people! praise Him for using us and manifesting gifts and talents in His body!
on another note - one question maybe you can help me with:
Linkin Park - i noticed you posted the lyrics to some of their songs. i recently heard "What I've Done" on the radio at work, and the lyrics seemed surprisingly uplifting (almost spiritual). i thought they were a secular band, but some of their lyrics are making me think otherwise. i am not familiar with them other than their name and the specific song i've just mentioned, do you know anything about their personal beliefs?
kinda curious, just wondering if you had any info.

Chayim b'Moshiach (Life in Messiah)</font> Burning One, Yeah I don't think it was just a coincidence you started this topic and then AdoniYah wrote his first poetry !!! Here is a little info on the members of Linkin' Park: Their latest album "Minutes to Midnight" is based on the Doomsday Clock. Chester Bennington: Bennington was born in Phoenix, Arizona.[1] He took interest in music at a young age, citing Depeche Mode and Stone Temple Pilots as early inspirations.[1] Bennington's parents separated in the late 1980s, while he was still a child.[1] He was sexually abused during his youth, and later struggled with cocaine and methamphetamine addictions.[1] Bennington eventually overcame his drug addiction, and would go on to denounce drug use in future interviews.[2] He worked at a Burger King restaurant before starting his career as a professional musician.[1] (I don't know about his religious beliefs but I would say he's more secular) _______________________________________________________________________________ Rob Bourdon: Rob was born in Calabasas, California and now lives in Los Angeles. He grew up in the same town as the members of Incubus and Hoobastank. Rob started to play the drums after watching an Aerosmith concert. His mother was the girlfriend of Joey Kramer, Aerosmith's drummer, so they were able to go backstage and see the entire production; Kramer also gave Rob a kick pedal. In late 2006, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park said on Tattoo Stories that his bandmates Rob and Brad didn't have any tattoos for religious reasons. Both are actively of the Jewish faith._______________________________________________________________________________ Bradford Phillip Delson (born December 1, 1977, in Agoura, California[1]), is a Jewish musician best known as the lead guitarist and temporary bassist for the band Linkin Park. He is also the A&R for Machine Shop Recordings. Delson graduated from Agoura High School in 1995 and formed Xero with Mike Shinoda whom he knew since the seventh grade, which would later become Linkin Park. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in communications, but decided to forget law school to pursue a career with Linkin Park. _______________________________________________________________________________ David Farrell was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts but later moved to Mission Viejo, California when he was five. He attended Mission Viejo High School. He also graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1999 . He is adept at playing the bass guitar, electric guitar, cello and violin. He has also been known to play an upright bass at some concerts. Farrell was a member of a Christian ska/Christian punk band known as the Tasty Snax. While attending college, he would practice with Brad Delson in their dorm room together. However, because he had to play and tour with the Tasty Snax, he could not play with Delson and his band, which would become Linkin Park. After changing their name to Snax, Farrell began playing bass guitar in the band before leaving once again to join Linkin Park full-time to play bass. Farrell's fellow band mate Mark Fiore became Linkin Park's videographer. As described in the inlay for Reanimation he uses an Ernie Ball MusicMan Bass. _______________________________________________________________________________ Joseph Hahn, often known as Mr. Hahn, is a musician and director of Korean descent best known as the turntablist for the American band Linkin Park. Hahn joined Linkin Park when the band was called Xero in 1996 as the band's turntablist. Since then, he has directed music videos for most singles of his band, with the exceptions of "One Step Closer", "Crawling" and "Faint". He is referenced to as Mr. Hahn at the beginning of "Cure for the Itch" from "Hybrid Theory". On the new album Minutes to Midnight, Joe Hahn contributes more to programming with his sound effects board and uses more of his MIDI board. The only songs he uses turntables in Minutes To Midnight are the minor roles in "What I've Done", "Valentine's Day", and "In Pieces." _______________________________________________________________________________ Mike Shinoda was raised in the Los Angeles suburb of Agoura Hills.[1] Mike has a younger brother (born 1979) named Jason.[1][2] His first exposure to music came during his middle and high school years, and attended a concert featuring Anthrax and Public Enemy[3] He attended Chester W. Nimitz Middle School in Huntington Park.[citation needed] After that, he began taking piano lessons, studying classical pianist techniques, and later moved on to jazz and hip hop. It was during this period that he added the guitar and, eventually, rap-style vocals to his repertoire. [3] After his teens, Mike Shinoda's rap interests found a source of encouragement in friend Brad Delson, with whom he started to write and record songs in a makeshift studio set up in his basement. Shinoda attended Agoura High School with Linkin Park bandmate Brad Delson, as well as with members of the band Hoobastank. By the end of high school, drummer Rob Bourdon had become involved in their musical ventures. The trio formed the band Xero, and began to make a more serious attempt to pursue a career in the music industry. After high school, Shinoda enrolled in the Art Center College of Design to study graphic design and illustration.[1] It was here that he made the acquaintance of DJ and turntablist Joseph Hahn, who, along with Delson's college-mate Phoenix, was soon added to Xero's line-up. Shinoda eventually graduated from college with a degree in illustration, securing himself a job as a graphic designer right after graduation.[1] With his background as a graphic artist, Shinoda has taken it upon himself in designing all of Linkin Park's artwork with Hahn, and has even designed the album cover for Styles of Beyond's debut album, 2000 Fold. In later years he would go on to showcase his art skills;[citation needed] he had his debut art showcase at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles in the time leading up to Linkin Park's album Minutes To Midnight. ______________________________________________________________________________ So there are two men of the Jewish faith in the band and atleast one may still be of the Christian faith I'm not sure. Their lyrics are very personal and raw so I'd say their music reflects their lives, I don't know how to exactly define it though. All the info came from wikipedia. Like I've said before, I think there is truth here and there, like everywhere (different denominations, etc). So I mostly wanted to show how I think people can be looking for Him without knowing it or some seeds have already been planted with them or something. I'm not saying they are Scriptural or anything. I'm glad folks don't mind me sharing the lyrics. [This message has been edited by AdoniYah (edited 11-26-2007).]</font> Shalom Renae, thank you for going to such lengths on explaining the background. i LOVE listening to music, but most of my tastes are confined to spiritually-focused musicians: Christian and Jewish, and "Messianic" where it can be found. but yes, i can definitely see why there would be spiritual tones to Linkin Park's lyrics. i too believe truth can be found in all manner of places, and it is always interesting to see wisdom growing in the strangest of soils! i think it keeps us who "have the truth" humble, you know what i mean? you can contact me at seraph613 @ hotmail DOT com. i'll be glad to answer as best i can. thanks again for posting all that info! Concerning Linkin Park: I happen to know of some who have had some serious struggles spiritually and mentally and by their own admission, after coming to the Truth, linkin park did not help them; as a matter of fact, they drug them down even more - almost to death. Linkin Park does not practice the verses below: <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">For the rest, brothers, whatever is TRUE, whatever is NOBLE, whatever is RIGHTEOUS, whatever is CLEAN, whatever is LOVELY, whatever is OF GOOD REPORT, if there is any UPRIGHTNESS and if there is any PRAISE – think on these. Phil 4:8
My tongue sings of Your word, For all Your commands are righteousness. Psa 119:172
The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; The heart of the wrong is of little value. Pro 10:20 </font> They do not speak words of hope to those who drown in hopelessness. They do not point to the One who can deliver from the darkness of depression. They do not encourage us to walk in the light as He is in the light. According to I John, Linkin Park are liars: <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and are not doing the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Yahushua Messiah His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1Jn 1:6-7</font> Their tongues do not speak words of life: <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those loving it eat its fruit. Pro 18:21
For the mouth of the wrong And the mouth of the deceiver Have opened against me; They have spoken against me with a false tongue. They have surrounded me with words of hatred, And they attack me without a cause. In return for my love they accuse me, While I am in prayer. Psa 109:2-4
A healing tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it crushes the spirit. Pro 15:4
Whoever guards his mouth and tongue Guards his life from distresses. Pro 21:23
And the tongue is a fire.....It is unruly, evil, filled with deadly poison. Jas 3:6-8
Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, working deceit. You loved evil more than good, Lying more than speaking righteousness. Selah. You loved all devouring words, O tongue of deceit. Psa 52:2-4 </font> <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">....neither present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin.....Rom 6:13
And have no fellowship with the fruitless works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of what is done by them in secret. Eph 5:11-12
.....For Satan himself masquerades as a messenger of light! It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works! 2Co 11:14-15 </font> They just do not speak the Truth; Let Elohim be true and every man a liar......becky

I am so done with the whole Linkin' Park thing after this.
When I would get depressed for example let's say over not having a family, folks would say things like you'll have more time and money to travel or buy this/that or with the world the way it is today you don't have to worry about them being molested or kidnapped etc. So even "Christians" didn't take the opportunity to point us to Messiah, do ya'll think that what they said was all encouraging or something? So were these folks messengers of the devil disguised as Christians or something? I already came on here and said that the year that "shook me up" was a year of several "suicides". And these folks weren't the Linkin' Park listening kind either. How about a grandfather whose son was a deacon in a church and left the church after his dad killed himself because he said if I couldn't save my dad I don't have no business trying to save/help anybody. I guess we should've went up to him and said yeah this was a blessing in disguise because you were just serving Satan in the Christian church and the reason your dad killed himself is because he was a Christian celebrating all those Satanic holidays.
How about a very loved local man whose grown son was very sick with a painful chronic illness and considerable debt and addiction to pain meds. So he kills himself in a car by inhaling the exhaust with the garden hose. He drove out to the middle of nowhere in summer and was missing atleast a week. I guess we should've went up to his parents and said well congratulations you're no longer "unequally yoked" with your wretched sinner of a son!!!
How about a man comes home through the front door says "I can't take this sh** anymore" walks out the back door and puts a gun to his head. I guess we should've said he wasn't much of a father or husband anyway now you're free to find a better man.
How about a 12 year old boy who hangs himself because his brother was killed in Iraq?
If people want to call me wallowing in my depression or indulging in it etc I personally don't care anymore because it just helps me identify with people who are struggling to muddle through life. And all Linkin' Park did was give words to feelings that were hard for me to articulate sometimes.
People may not believe it but I'm actually interested in fighting the darkness not promoting it.
Shalom, Renae

Those are beautiful, and i enjoy how Messiah is brought into those poems. very cool.
here are the vows i spoke to my bride at our wedding:
Now I set my face unto you, Here I speak my heart’s true vow: Here I choose to walk beside you. Loving only you, my heart speaks true, forevermore from now.
I have heard Yah in your laughter; I have seen Him on your face. And it’s clear now what He’s after - For He wrote your name on my heart in flame, It’s a wound I’ll not erase.
I will love you in the morning, And in the bright noonday. I will love you in the even. Every day I live, my heart I’ll give - I’ll love you from my grave.
We will mount the wings of morning. We will fly before the wind. We will dwell within the mystery Of the glories of Yehoshua’s love, A circle with no end.
We will pitch our tent toward Zion In the shadow of His love. We will covenant between us: We will covenant with the earth below, And with heaven up above. We will covenant with the dust below, And the Spirit up above.

Unfolding the Rosebud It is only a tiny rosebud, A flower of Yah's design; But I cannot unfold the petals With these clumsy hands of mine. The secret of unfolding flowers Is not known to such as I. Yah opens this flower so sweetly, When in my hands they fade and die. If I cannot unfold a rosebud, This flower of Yah's design, Then how can I think I have wisdom To unfold this life of mine? So I'll trust in Him for His leading Each moment of every day. I will look to Him for His guidance Each step of the pilgrim way. The pathway that lies before me, Only my Heavenly Father knows. I'll trust Him to unfold the moments, Just as He unfolds the rose. Author Unknown

here’s something I wrote back during my teen years. it is a difficult one - about a tragedy and also about learning something very important in the wake of such horror. maybe somebody can relate to the sorrow and subsequent understanding that is expressed here.
STOLEN
We stood still in utter silence, Shocked speechless by this act of violence. Maturity that day destiny did impart, Seeing for the first time the darkness in man’s heart. Reality hit us hard that day, And in horror I wept, turning away. It took us both by such surprise - The murder we witnessed with our own eyes. A small child playing on the grass Fell to the ground, and so did pass From this nightmare of a world, into a dream, Where she could not hear her mother’s scream. I could not change what we saw, I could do nothing but watch her fall.
Like stolen kisses under a tree, My childhood innocence was thieved from me. My little brother dropped to his knees, And his sobs were loud on the summer breeze. To his stricken side I slowly knelt, Shaking too from the fear I felt. I held him gently for a minute or two, Unsure of exactly what to do. So I whispered softly in his ear False words of comfort even I could not hear. Then I lifted us both to our unsteady feet, And made our way through the crowd gathered in the street. We held hands as we walked home, hearts filled with grief. And I held back a lump in my throat with a sense of disbelief.
That night as I lay awake in my bed I dwelt upon something my brother had said: A thought that struck me as sickly profound, “She was still smiling when she fell to the ground.” I ran my fingers through my sweaty hair, And I cried to Yah that life was unfair. Confusion gripped fast my tormented soul, Preventing any peace from wrestling control. And as the tears rolled down my face, They were no longer just of sadness, but also disgrace. For I suddenly saw this tragedy yet another way: Much more than my mere innocence had died today. I wiped my eyes on my pillowcase and continued to softly cry, Then I turned to the shadows in my room, and again I watched her die.

Burning one,
It is terrible that you and your brother saw a child murdered, especially when ya'll were young too. You captured moments and emotions and expressed so much in few words, you are very gifted with ability to express emotions and moments with words. Thank you.
I think sometimes about the people who found the people that comitted suicide. I talked to one person who said I just didn't think I would believe it if I didn't see him for myself, and I wonder how do they deal with such horrific images. I think about the ripple effects that it will have/has in so many lives.
You spoke of maturity being imparted that day, I think you express it in the way you were facing/dealing with what happened. Did you and your brother talk about it anymore after that? Was the killer caught and brought to justice?
It can be remarkable sometimes how other people's lives can have profound effects on ours, their tragedies or blessings. There is a little girl I think about sometimes, I just cried thinking about her a couple nights ago. She was a neighbors daughter and they were poor and she was without a father. She would go to neighbors because she would be hungry. Her's were the only crayon drawings we've had on the refrigerator. They moved away and I heard her mom died and she ended up in foster care. I pray that it was Yah's will that she be placed in a good foster family and she had a chance in life.
When I was little I saw news about a plane crash and my mom said I cried about it for days. And I did the same when I saw a movie about Messiah being crucified. Sometimes when I think about how bad things are supposed to get I wonder if mentally I will be able to handle what I see happen to others, what happens to me I care little. But how will I handle what I see happen to others around me? Sometimes I feel most helpless when I see what is happening to others.
Thank you again for sharing such a personal experience.
Shalom, Renae

Shared today, in honor of our sister BlueSun who demonstrates this all the time! Love sisters Becky and Tamar One morning I woke early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Ah, the beauty of YHWH's creation is beyond description. As I watched, I praised YHWH for His beautiful work. As I sat there, YHWH brought His presence on me. He asked me, "Do you love Me?" I answered, "Of course YHWH! You are my Master and my Savior!" Then He asked, "If you were physically handicapped, would you still love Me?" I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arms, legs, and the rest of my body and wondered how many things I wouldn't be able to do. The things that I took granted for. And I answered, "It would be tough, YHWH, but I would still love You." Then YHWH said, "If you were blind, would you still love my creation?" How could I love something without being able to see it? Then I thought of all the blind people in the world And how many of them still loved YHWH and His creation. So I answered, "It's hard to think of it, but I would still love You." YHWH then asked me, "If you were deaf, would you still listen to My Word?" How could I listen to anything being deaf? Then I understood. Listening to YHWH's Word is not merely using our ears, but our hearts. I answered, "It would be tough, but I would still listen to Your Word." YHWH then asked, "If you were mute, would you still praise My Name?" How could I praise without a voice? Then it occurred to me, YHWH wants us to sing from our very heart and soul. It never matters what we sound like. And praising YHWH is not always with song. But even when we are persecuted, We give YHWH praise with words of thanks. So I answered, "Though I could not physically sing, I would still praise Your name." And YHWH asked, "Do you really love Me?" With courage and a strong conviction, I answered boldly, "Yes YHWH! I love You because You are the one and true Elohim!" I thought that I had answered well, but YHWH asked, "They why do you sin?" I answered, "Because I am only human. I am not perfect." "Then why in times of peace, do you stray the furthest? Why only in times of trouble do you pray the hardest? No answer. Only tears. YHWH continued. "Why only sing at fellowships and retreats? Why seek Me only in times of worship? Why ask things so selfishly? Why ask things so unfaithfully?" The tears continued to roll down my cheek. "Why are you ashamed of Me? Why are you not spreading the Good News? Why in times of persecution, you cry to others when I offer My shoulder to cry on? Why make excuses when I give you opportunities to serve in My Name?" I tried to answer, but there was no answer to give. "You are blessed with life. I made you not to throw this gift away. I have blessed you with talents to serve Me, but you continue to turn away. I have stretched My Word to you, but you do not gain in knowledge. I have spoken to you, but your ears were closed. I have shown my blessings to you, but your eyes were turned away. I have sent you servants, but you sat idly by as they were pushed away. I have heard your prayers, and I have answered them all." "Do you really love Me?" I could not answer. How could I? I was embarrassed beyond belief. I had no excuse. What could I say to this? When my heart had cried out, and the tears had flowed, I said, "Please forgive me YHWH. I am unworthy to be Your child." YHWH answered, "That is My grace My child." I asked, "Then why do you continue to forgive me? Why do You love me so?" YHWH answered, "Because you are my creation. You are My child. I will never abandon you. When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you. When you scream in joy, I will laugh with you. When you are down, I will encourage you. When you fall, I will raise you up. When you are tired, I will carry you. I will be with you 'til the end of the days, and I will love you forever." Never had I cried so hard before. How could I have been so cold? How could I have hurt YHWH as I had done? I asked YHWH, "How much do You love me?" And HE stretched out His arms, As they were nailed on the tree I bowed down at the feet of Yahushua, my Savior. And for the first time, I really prayed.
[This message has been edited by naesimo (edited 12-03-2007).]</font> Shalom Renae, thank you for sharing those words. in this life there are so many things that come at us from out of the blue. so many sorrows that hit us broadside and leave us reeling in confusion and sadness. but Yah is there. through it all, He is present, and He is shaping us, molding His people through even the worst experiences so that we can be most effective for Him in His grand plan. sometimes (most of the time) we are not aware of the molding until it is long past, and we see the shape and form amidst the apparent chaos and disorder of past years. but the shaping was taking place even in the hardest moments, in the times of loneliness and tears; in the nights where dawn seemed a hope too fragile to invest in, or when the heart hurting in our chest felt impossible to ever be restored. Yah is ever-present, working, tempering us all the while. He is the careful Creator, attending to His people with more devotion than a mother to child. and though we may not see or understand at times, He is faithful! praise Yah!

i wrote this back in '01.
THOUGHTS ON A FOOLISH LOVE AFFAIR
And just to keep it real, I tell You how much I really love You. And it’s funny, cause I know That somehow, that is what You are telling me.
You never cease to amaze me, To catch me totally off guard. I consider how much I love You, And yet I know so little about You. Such a seemingly foolish love affair - With any other it would be so.
You’ve never changed, either. Rather, it is I who have done the changing - Waxing and waning, ever shifting, Just to get a better glimpse of You.
And after all this time, In light of all our conversations, Our joys shared in laughter, After the disputes which You Always seem to win -- I find that the fullest way to describe You Is simply this: You alone are You alone.
To be so caught up with Someone, To be head over heels for Someone I can never truly come to know - It borders on lunacy, When soberly considered.
And even in understanding this I find I am more in love with You now Than when I first met You. You still astound me with Your Words; You still make me laugh out loud With Your odd sense of humor; You still make me tremble in fear When I see just how in control You are.
And yet, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” I remember those words. Your words. A promise, an oath. But I am a weak person, And my faults You fully know. So somehow, in Your mysterious way, Hold me also to those words, That I too might be forever faithful.
For in the end, When my faith might not even move me, Or if my hope is lost somewhere in despair - I will be clinging still to a timeless love: The eternal truth I found when I met You.
This love will lift me into Your arms, Where fear, weakness, and failure Will immediately die away. And in Your arms - Your magnificent, terrible arms, I will find the faith, The hope, The love - that is You.

I steadier step when I recall That, if I slip, Thou dost not fall.</font> Shalom Becky, a very nice one! short and to the point! i rather enjoyed this longer one, as well: The New Sinai 1845 Arthur Hugh Clough LO, here is God, and there is God! Believe it not, O Man; In such vain sort to this and that The ancient heathen ran: Though old Religion shake her head, And say in bitter grief, The day behold, at first foretold, Of atheist unbelief: Take better part, with manly heart, Thine adult spirit can; Receive it not, believe it not, Believe it not, O Man! As men at dead of night awaked With cries, ‘The king is here,’ Rush forth and greet whome’er they meet, Whoe’er shall first appear; And still repeat, to all the street, ‘’Tis he,—the king is here;’ The long procession moveth on, Each nobler form they see, With changeful suit they still salute, And cry, ’Tis he, ’tis he!’ So, even so, when men were young, And earth and heaven were new, And His immediate presence He From human hearts withdrew, The soul perplexed and daily vexed With sensuous False and True, Amazed, bereaved, no less believed, And fain would see Him too: ‘He is!’ the prophet-tongues proclaimed; In joy and hasty fear, ‘He is!’ aloud replied the crowd, Is here, and here, and here.’ ‘He is! They are!’ in distance seen On yon Olympus high, In those Avernian woods abide, And walk this azure sky: ‘They are! They are!’ to every show Its eyes the baby turned, And blazes sacrificial, tall, On thousand altars burned: ‘They are! They are!’—On Sinai’s top Far seen the lightnings shone, The thunder broke, a trumpet spoke, And God said, ‘I am One.’ God spake it out, ‘I, God, am One;’ The unheeding ages ran, And baby-thoughts again, again, Have dogged the growing man: And as of old from Sinai’s top God said that God is One, By Science strict so speaks He now To tell us, There is None! Earth goes by chemic forces; Heaven’s A Mecanique Celeste! And heart and mind of human kind A watch-work as the rest! Is this a Voice, as was the Voice, Whose speaking told abroad, When thunder pealed, and mountain reeled, The ancient truth of God? Ah, not. the Voice; ’tis but the cloud, The outer darkness dense, Where image none, nor e’er was seen Similitude of sense. ’Tis but the cloudy darkness dense That wrapt the Mount around; While in amaze the people stays, To hear the Coming Sound. Is there no prophet-soul the while To dare, sublimely meek, Within the shroud of blackest cloud The Deity to seek? ’Midst atheistic systems dark, And darker hearts’ despair, That soul has heard perchance His word, And on the dusky air His skirts, as passed He by, to see Hath strained on their behalf, Who on the plain, with dance amain, Adore the Golden Calf. ’Tis but the cloudy darkness dense; Though blank the tale it tells, No God, no Truth! yet He, in sooth, Is there—within it dwells; Within the sceptic darkness deep He dwells that none may see, Till idol forms and idol thoughts Have passed and ceased to be: No God, no Truth! ah though, in sooth, So stand the doctrine’s half: On Egypt’s track return not back, Nor own the Golden Calf. Take better part, with manlier heart, Thine adult spirit can; No God, no Truth, receive it ne’er— Believe it ne’er—O Man! But turn not then to seek again What first the ill began; No God, it saith; ah, wait in faith God’s self-completing plan; Receive it not, but leave it not, And wait it out, O Man! ‘The Man that went the cloud within Is gone and vanished quite; He cometh not,’ the people cries, ‘Nor bringeth God to sight: Lo these thy gods, that safety give, Adore and keep the feast!’ Deluding and deluded cries The Prophet’s brother-Priest: And Israel all bows down to fall Before the gilded beast. Devout, indeed! that priestly creed, O Man, reject as sin; The clouded hill attend thou still, And him that went within. He yet shall bring some worthy thing For waiting souls to see: Some sacred word that he hath heard Their light and life shall be; Some lofty part, than which the heart Adopt no nobler can, Thou shalt receive, thou shalt believe And thou shalt do, O Man!

Blessings to you this day an each new day from YHWH Tamar</font> Shalom, you know that passage out of Jeremiah is a truly interesting one. i had heard it preached so often growing up, but i never understood it in a way that made sense until reading a book back in 2001 about the prophets by Abraham Joshua Heschel. in it he started in verse 7 and went through 10, and showed how the context and the Hebrew words used there are really of an extremely negative spirit of the prophet. in other words, he feels that he had been seduced by the Holy One into going forth as a prophet with a message, and the result was not what was expected. so he attempts to not tell a soul, but is unable to restrain himself. the will of the Father pushes through and carries the message in spite of his desire to keep silent. if you read the Hebrew of verse 9, you find the contextual meanings of a "seducing" and even a force which the Torah likens to "rape." talk about being poetic! the prophets used some extremely graphic and powerful word imagery to convey the mind of the Holy One to His people. </font> Shalom, i agree, this one does take some studying to understand due to the manner of presentation. to me, i see him conveying the idea that Yah proclaimed His unique nature from Sinai, and before, in the garden, as well, but the sinful minds of man have perverted that truth and the gullibility of men have led them even further astray. man wants a deity that is familiar. something they can wrap their minds around and hold in their thoughts. a conceptualization or anthropomorphism that they can relate to. and yet the Father does not present Himself in that way, really. the Presence of the Almighty atop of Sinai was enshielded in a thick darkness. this presentation of the Presence is repeated multiple times in Scripture. it is something that doesn't make sense, especially since we're also told that He "dwells in light." but He continually appears to man in a dark cloud, or darkness. this is hard to reconcile, and gives no real grasping-point or familiar concept for us to latch onto. the Presence of the Father was at the top of the mountain, enveloped in darkness, where Mosheh entered in. at the bottom of the mountain the familiar shape of deity was forged, and that by the accepted priestly caste. men were quick to follow. in the same way, Messiah has ascended to the Father's Presence, hid by a cloud as Acts tells us, and we so easily go astray down here, being led by people who tell us that it all makes sense. but Messiah will return with the Word on His lips, coming from what tablets were written on His heart. we are to wait for Him, to not immerse ourselves in the familiar but false conceptions of deity provided here at the foot of the mountain. that is my take. Empty Womb
I had a certain picture Of how my life would be. But I forgot to ask my L-rd What He had planned for me.
Just one life to fill my womb, All my dreams leaned toward. But idle waiting no one serves, And least of all, the L-rd.
How precious still the things I have I'd somehow lost sight of, G-d did whisper to my heart, "Hold dear those things I love."
My heart did break to let it go, This certain path I'd planned. But in its place, He gave me life New purpose from His hand.
When it seems that hope is lost, The Quiet too much to bear, He comes to me and comforts me And says, "Child, I'm still here."
He wipes the flood of tears away, Brings newness to my soul. Then takes away the shame I feel And somehow makes me whole.
Never have I walked so close That I could call Him "Friend." He drew me nigh, right to His heart And let me glimpse within.
I thank the L-rd for emptiness Where life still does not grow For oft' His richest blessing, On the surface, does not show.
He may return what I've let go, Or just want me to see: "You may not have just what you want, But always, you'll have Me."

Rainbows Thank you G-d for the pain that, like rain, when filtered through sunshine paints a rainbow giving life a touch of beauty, while reminding me of your promise that you would never again destroy mankind through a flood.
And that I need to remember because sometimes I feel overwhelmed by floods which threaten to engulf me and destroy me, and leave me sore afraid when my cries for help seem lost in the storm.
And then behind me where I couldn't see I turn and see a rainbow adding a touch of beauty to my life and then I see even if I don't understand that as rainbows are painted by raindrops so faith, hope, and love are somehow all painted by pain.

this is the lyrics to a song by the JPUSA Community band "Seeds," from their release "Rooted." groovy hippie-folk-rock with amazing harmonies, and focused on the truth:
WHO AM I?
You light the fires of the sun, You put the stars up in the sky, You keep the planets in motion. You told the ocean where to cease, You made the winds to increase, You gave the lightning its thunder.
Who am I… That You would consider me, and call me by name?
You came and lived among the poor, The blind, the lame You did restore, Breaking chains that bound them. You were silent when they accused, Your heart and body were abused, Somehow You still forgave them.
Who am I… That You would consider me, and call me by name?
You say that I’ve been grafted in, You washed away my sin, That You have made me holy. You say that my heart has been made new, That I belong to You, You will not forsake me.
I am Your child… And You have considered me, and called me by name. You know my name…

Forever Friend
In the course of life's journey we rub shoulders with many people, some are warm and open, others afraid and closed. Some we connect with, others come and soon are gone. Some linger awhile, but every now and then... either through fate or by chance, or because of a Higher Power... in an unexpected moment we are touched by a smile that lingers in the memory. We meet again and the more we do the more we know that we have met a friend, and we'll be friends forever. Next to God there is no greater gift in life than a forever-friend. I hope that we can be such friends.

"I know why the caged bird sings, ah me, When his wing is bruised and his bosom sore, When he beats his bars and would be free; It is not a carol of joy or glee, But a prayer that he sends from his heart's deep core, But a plea, that upward to Heaven he flings - I know why the caged bird sings. Precious Masterpiece
I saw a lovely teacup in a little shop one day, It was so magnificent, it took my breath away.
And as I held it in my hands, I thought I heard it speak... "You know I started out as clay unshaped, quite plain and weak.
"But the Master molded me, and by supreme design, The agonizing process made each detail divine.
"Then quite unexpectedly, He put me through the fire, And when I thought I'd bear no more, He let the flames go higher.
"But each and every moment brought me closer still To my place of purpose within His perfect will
"I grew stronger through the pain while on the molding stand, And even through the furnace, I could feel His loving hand.
"Now I'm strong and beautiful-- just what He had in mind, And I'm His precious masterpiece a special one-of-a-kind."
~Rita S. Beer
You are G-d's creation, He'll never let you break, for you're a special work of art that only He could make.

here's another of mine:
A WORTH BEYOND THESE WOUNDS
an echo runs within our spiritual scars and the heart wounds that hurt so much. the ones gained by seeking out the love in another's touch.
burns and scrapes and bites, and stings akin to death - these are the wounds we carry that leave us gasping for breath.
under smiles we hide the scars that throb so hard with pain. still we seek to lay our hands upon a love we cannot gain.
but it's not in the wounds unmended, or the scars that shine so bright; the meaning is in the memory of chasing a love still out of sight.
somewhere we're given a fleeting glimpse of just what that love will hold. so bearing up under the pain, we travel on this tired road.
a worth beyond these wounds is what we are searching for. a summons uttered outside of space calls us to something more.
it beckons us to sacrifice our pain for a memory. but the memory it bestows is one we do not wish to see.
it calls to mind a betrayal, a wounding so unkind. of a scar in Another's heart, from a Love we left behind.
it is a hurt of fatal consequence that we have forgotten as absurd. but the cry whispers within our wounds, and this whisper is a word.
a word divine and undiminished these wounds carry an echo of. and the word resounding through every scar is "Yah", for Yah is love.

it beckons us to sacrifice our pain for a memory. but the memory it bestows is one we do not wish to see.
it calls to mind a betrayal, a wounding so unkind. of a scar in Another's heart, from a Love we left behind.
it is a hurt of fatal consequence that we have forgotten as absurd. but the cry whispers within our wounds, and this whisper is a word.
a word divine and undiminished these wounds carry an echo of. and the word resounding through every scar is "Yah", for Yah is love.
</font> Beautiful, thoughtful......becky

Hanging by a moment (Lifehouse)
Desperate for changing Starving for truth I'm closer to where I started Chasing after you I'm falling even more in love with you Letting go of all I've held onto I'm standing here until you make me move I'm hanging by a moment here with you
Forgetting all I'm lacking Completely incomplete I'll take your invitation You take all of me now...
I'm falling even more in love with you Letting go of all I've held onto I'm standing here until you make me move I'm hanging by a moment here with you I'm living for the only thing I know I'm running and not quite sure where to go And I don't know what I'm diving into Just hanging by a moment here with you
There's nothing else to lose There's nothing else to find There's nothing in the world That can change my mind There is nothing else There is nothing else There is nothing else
Desperate for changing Starving for truth I'm closer to where I started Chasing after you....

</font> Great lyrics! They remind me of a thought that the Spirit gave me long ago concerning my walk: It doesn't matter how high we climb on the ladder, because eventually we will end up on the bottom rung again. The bottom rung is humbling, but at least we are on the ladder.

Lifehouse is a very talented band - my bride and i used the following song of their's in our wedding ceremony (we worked it in seamlessly between the Hebrew and the bagpipes! ). it is actually referring to the Creator, but it also works well as a love song to the one whose worth is far above rubies... EVERYTHING Find me here Speak to me I want to feel You I need to hear You You are the light That's leading me To the place where I find peace, again. You are the strength, that keeps me walking. You are the hope, that keeps me trusting. You are the light, to my soul. You are my purpose, You're everything. And how can I stand here with You and not be moved by You? Would You tell me how could it be any better than this? You calm the storms, and You give me rest. You hold me in Your hands, You won't let me fall. You still my heart, and You take my breath away. Would You take me in? Take me deeper now? And How can I stand here with You and not be moved by You? Would You tell me how could it be any better than this? And how can I stand here with You and not be moved by You? Would You tell me how could it be any better than this? Cause You're all I want, You're all I need You're everything, everything You're all I want, You're all I need You're everything, everything. You're all I want, You're all I need. You're everything, everything You're all I want, You're all I need. You're everything, everything. And how can I stand here with You and not be moved by You? Shalom,
well, i DO have a truly amazing woman for a bride! i can unabashedly say that i have been blessed far more than i deserve in the woman Elohim chose to give to me.
we are doing very well - my little boy is finally healed up and happy -- i visited the ID doc yesterday and he was quite pleased at how everything is going. Ezra is almost 17 lbs and is starting to cut teeth, and he is so much fun!
so i suppose you are properly spoiling your grandson?

Chayim b'Moshiach (Life in Messiah)</font> Shalom, Properly!! Caleb began walking at ten months and is into everything. I have a special bond with him. Right after he was born they said that they needed to get him on a respirator. I went with Nate (my son-in-law) down to the room where they put him in a special "incubator"(the word doesn't come to me at the moment). While he lay there, his little arms kept flailing and he would cry that little cry of his. I told the nurses that they at least needed to bundle him up. I reached my hands in and held him and I hummed to him. He quit crying and kept trying to "look" at me. Nate and I stayed with him until they felt okay to return him to April (my daughter), which was only a very short time, thank the Father. It was nothing serious, they were just making sure of things. He really does love us. He gets so excited every time he comes to the house. He squeals and giggles and hugs us like he hasn't seen us in years!! He still loves for his nana to cuddle him and hold him close....He is very special to us all.........becky

here is one i wrote in April of last year.
it doesn't have a title
The school bell rang through the halls And he rounded the corner, late for class. He saw three large boys around a frightened girl, Pushing and not letting her pass.
He didn’t think twice about what to do, But found his fists swinging high and low. The harder he fought the harder they hit, And in the end they let the girl go.
But he was on the floor, rubbing his nose, Spitting blood and nursing his jaw. Then he looked up at the girl next to him - The prettiest thing he had ever saw.
She said, ‘Thanks for standing up for me, I know that really took some heart. Those boys were twice as big as you - You’re strong, though you don’t look the part.’
Between lips split wide he replied, ‘I ain’t really so tough, I just give all that I got, And hope that in the end my giving is enough.’
She smiled brightly at his words, Then helped him up from the floor. That day was the start of a simple friendship That would soon turn into something much more.
As he shared his young dreams she was hooked, And she loved the way that he looked at life. Though she dare not say it to him yet, She hoped one day she could be his wife.
They were young and very carefree, Walking through a field of bonnets so blue. She pointed to the shade of an old oak tree, And said, ‘Come on, I’ll race you.’
She took off running, then looked behind her Just in time to see him falter and fall. She was at his side in moments, As he struggled to even speak at all.
She held his hand as he formed the words, Whispering with his eyes shut tight, ‘I have this problem in my heart, My ticker just ain’t ticking right.’
‘I’m sorry I said nothing before, But I can’t change my circumstance. My name is on the waiting list, tho, So maybe soon I’ll get my chance.’
‘But I don’t know how long I have, So I want to live a life that’s worth a lot. And even though I don’t have much to give, I’m willing to give this everything I got.’
Her tears were warm upon her cheeks, And she knew there was nothing she could do. Then the words she’d held inside for so long came, And she said, ‘I want to give my love and my heart to you.’
‘I don’t know what the future holds, But we can face it if we don’t face it alone. I’m here for you, I’m by your side, And together we don’t have to fear the unknown.’
Well, their love it grew from that day on, And they were committed in purity true. And as their senior prom came around, He knew exactly what he needed to do.
When she stood before him in her sparkling dress He knew El had blessed him with a most beautiful thing. He said a silent, ‘Thank You,’ as he kissed her cheek, for in his pocket he held a small diamond ring.
Then they were in the car off to the dance, And his excitement he could barely hide. But in a terrible moment joy turned to fear When a speeding truck slammed into their side.
Through the glass shattering and the screeching of tires He could hear her screams of disbelief. They tumbled and rolled across the highway, Flipping like a wind-blown leaf.
When everything was silent and still He felt her body right up next to him. She was breathing all raspy in a blood-soaked dress, Her side of the car was completely caved-in.
She was busted and broken, a visible mess, And as he looked at her he knew it wasn’t good. She met his gaze with pain-filled eyes, And he knew that she understood.
He touched her bleeding face as she softly spoke, ‘I don’t feel right; I don’t think I’ll pull through… Before, I was only able to give you my love, But now I can really give my heart to you.’
Her breathing became more labored, And he thought, ‘This was supposed to be the day,’ so he reached in his pocket for the golden ring, And slipped it on her finger as she slipped away.
Weeks passed in a pain-filled blur, As he lay in a hospital bed. He stood now facing the unknown again, For the girl he had loved was now dead.
The future seemed oh so daunting, And he knew that he wasn’t that tough. But she gave him all she had to give, And in the end that would have to be enough.
So he closed his eyes and dreamed of her, And thanked El that he had been blessed. Because though she was gone, she was still here, For her heart was now beating in his chest.

Hillsong United Lyrics "Saviour King"
Verse 1 And now the weak say: I have strength! By the Spirit of power that raised Yahshua from the dead And now the poor stand and confess: That my portion is Him and I'm more than blessed.
Pre-chorus Let now our hearts burn with a flame A fire consuming all for your Son's Holy Name And with the heavens we declare: You are our King!
Chorus We love You YHWH, we worship You You are our Elohim, You alone are good
Verse 2 Let now your church shine as the bride That You soar in Your heart as You offered up your life Let now the lost be Welcomed Home By the saved and redeemed those adopted as Your own
Pre-chorus Let now our hearts burn with a flame A fire consuming all for your Son's Holy Name And with the heavens we declare: You are our King!
Chorus We love You YHWH, we worship You You are our Elohim, You alone are good
You asked your Son to carry this: The heavy cross our weight of sin
I love You YHWH, I worship You Hope which was lost, now stands renewed I give my life to honor this: The love of Yahshua, the Savior King!
I love You YHWH, I worship You Hope which was lost, now stands renewed I give my life to honor this: The love of Yahshua, the Savior King!

Hello Burning one, These lyrics are to a song by Jeremy Riddle called Sweetly Broken. I didn't change the names because they are the actual lyrics. You can hear it at youtube. My main reason for posting the lyrics is that something within them jumped out at me. In speaking of the cross, he says that on the cross my Saviour both bruised and crushed showed that Elohim is love and Elohim is just. I pictured Yahushua on the cross and what we think when we see Him there. I think the tendency of many is to be touched that He would love us so much to die for us. But in that same picture, we MUST see that Elohim is just. We must see in Yahushua's crushed and bruised body, the justice of Elohim. Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. You came to mind when I thought of this, so I decided to share it with you, feeling you could appreciate it.......in Him....becky
To the cross I look, to the cross I cling Of its suffering I do drink Of its work I do sing
For on it my Savior both bruised and crushed Showed that God is love And God is just
Chorus: At the cross You beckon me You draw me gently to my knees, and I am Lost for words, so lost in love, I’m sweetly broken, wholly surrendered
What a priceless gift, undeserved life Have I been given Through Christ crucified
You’ve called me out of death You’ve called me into life And I was under Your wrath Now through the cross I’m reconciled
Chorus:
In awe of the cross I must confess How wondrous Your redeeming love and How great is Your faithfulness

This poem was written by James Dobson, Sr. for his wife on her 50th birthday which occurred in the spring. Unfortunately, he could not keep his promise of walking through the winter of life with her as he died in his 60s and she lived 11 years after his death, and according to James Dobson, Jr., she had to walk through it alone. I heard James Dobson read this on one of his broadcasts this morning as I walked on my treadmill. The broadcast was really neat because in honor of his father, he was reading some poems that his father used to read to him as a child. I was so touched by this particular poem as I turned 50 in December. I truly understood what he was saying........
Your Birthday The whole world is singing Now that spring has come. I saw a robin in the morning sun. Among the pale green leaves and bursting buds, I heard his talk, But it is autumn where we walk. ‘Tis true for us the summer, too, is gone Now, whiplash winds arise, And further on, the ice and sleet and cold In grim assault to pierce us through; Does fall in springtime frighten you? Impotent shines the April sun so fair, To melt the wisps of frost within your hair. My dear, I know you feel the threatening gloom, But I’m with you, and hand in hand We’ll face the winter, too.

"The Kite and it's String --"
Once on a time a paper kite Was mounted to a wondrous height, Where, giddy with its elevation, It thus expressed self-admiration:
"See how yon crowds of gazing people Admire my flight above the steeple; How would they wonder if they knew All that a kite like me can do!
Were I but free, I'd take a flight, And pierce the clouds beyond their sight, But, ah! like a poor pris'ner bound, My string confines me near the ground;
I'd brave the eagle's towering wing, Might I but fly without a string." It tugged and pull, while thus it spoke, To break the string--at last it broke.
Deprived at once of all its stay, In vain it tried to soar away; Unable its own weight to bear, It fluttered downward through the air;
Unable its own course to guide, The winds soon plunged it in the tide. Ah! foolish kite, thou hadst no wing, How could'st thou fly without a string!
My heart replied, "O Lord, I see How much this kite resembles me! Forgetful that by thee I stand, Impatient of thy ruling hand; How oft I've wished to break the lines Thy wisdom for my lot assigns?
How oft indulged a vain desire For something more, or something higher? And, but for grace and love divine, A fall thus dreadful had been mine."

Chosen Vessel The Master was searching for a vessel to use; On the shelf there were many which one would He choose?
"Take me, cried the gold one I'm shiny and bright, I'm of great value and I do things just right.
My beauty and luster will outshine the rest And for someone like you, Master, gold would be the best!"
The Master passed on with no word at all; He looked at a silver urn, narrow and tall;
"I'll serve you, dear Master, I'll pour out your wine And I'll be at your table whenever you dine,
My lines are so graceful, my carvings so true, And my silver will always compliment you."
Unheeding the Master passed on to the brass, It was wide mouthed and shallow, and polished like glass.
"Here! Here!" cried the vessel, I know I will do. Place me on your table for all men to view."
"Look at me", called the goblet of crystal so clear. "My transparency shows my contents so dear,
Though fragile am I,I will serve you with pride, And I'm sure I'll be happy in your home to abide."
The Master came next to a vessel of wood, Polished and carved, it solidly stood.
"You may use me, dear Master", the wooden bowl said. "But I'd rather you used me for fruit, not for bread!"
Then the Master looked down and saw a vessel of clay, Empty and broken it helplessly lay.
No hope had the vessel that the Master might choose, To cleanse and make whole, to fill and to use.
Ah! This is the vessel I've been hoping to find, I will mend and use it and make it all mine.
I need not the vessel with pride of itself; Nor the one who is narrow to sit on the shelf;
Nor the one who is big mouthed and shallow and loud; Nor one who displays his contents so proud;
Nor the one who thinks he can do all things just right; But this plain earthy vessel filled with my power and might
Then gently He lifted the vessel of clay. Mended and cleansed it and filled it that day.
Spoke to it kindly "There's work you must do. Just pour out to others as I pour into you."

The Gift Of Friendship Friendship is a priceless gift That cannot be bought or sold, But its value is far greater Than a mountain made of gold - For gold is cold and lifeless, It can neither see nor hear, And in the time of trouble It is powerless to cheer It has no ears to listen, No heart to understand, It cannot bring you comfort Or reach out a helping hand - So when you ask God for a Gift, Be thankful if He sends Nor diamonds, pearls or riches, But the love of real true friends.

Tears to Rainbows
Tears are not burdens, for our shoulders to bear.
But a gentle reminder that our Lord is right here.
The waterfall of sorrow that flows from our eyes.
Cast a beautiful rainbow sent from the vast skies.
The tears that flow so freely without end,
Goes to the inner most depth of the heart, my friend.
It is in that place where we hear the replies
Of our many questions of our where's, what's and why's.
So the next time you feel a tear begin to cloud your eye,
Or gaze at a rainbow covering the sky.
Know there's a pot of gold at your rainbow's end,
It's from you Dear Savior, the friend of all friends.

Holding Hands (A Christian love song author and artist unknown)
One day I came to know the love of heaven I placed my life into the Savior's hands He promised He would hold my heart forever Now that I found you I understand
My spirit sees a picture from the Father He drew our love before our lives began In His time He brought our hearts together Now the three of us are holding hands
We lift our love up to the throne of heaven Our life as one to YHWH we give Now we stand to start a new forever In His hands only love can lead
My spirit sees a picture from the Father He drew our love before our lives began In His time He brought our hearts together Now the three of us are holding hands
In His time He brought our hearts together Now the three of us are holding hands.....
I see the three of us holding hands.

Chorus: Take me away with You take me away with You Take me away with You take me away with You That I may know You that I may be with You That I may know You and be alone with You
Verse: Many waters cannot quench it, rivers cannot wash away The extravagance of your love, stronger than the grave You've prepared a table I dream of what's in store The bread of your Body the wine You freely pour I will open my door
So take me away with You take me away with You I want to get lost in You I want to be found in You That I may love You that I may be with You That I may love You and be alone with You
Bridge: I want to know You even deeper I want my heart to beat with Yours So I will be your Passion seeker And I will open up my door
So take me away with You take me away with You I want to get lost in You I want to be found in You That I may love You that I may be with You That I may love You and be alone with You
Take me away!
I want to know You even deeper I want my heart to beat with Yours So I will be your Passion seeker And I will open up my door

I'd like to post this for my husband:
who woke up late anyway, became more running late because he read my post, who really liked my post but still was kinda cranky because he was running late and I didn't get around to washing his work shirts. And he also annoys me with his tinkering on his website and never keeping his cell phone charged. It's one of those mornings. But the sun is shining and it's a beautiful day!

Lyrics to a Christian love song
Standing at this altar before family and friends Spoken vows to love and cherish until the end The center of our joy today, we take the time to humbly pray and invite the Holy Spirit to descend
I live 4 U U live 4 me = We'll live 4 Him
Thru all the years The laughter and tears Thru thick and thin Faithful and true My love 4 you will only grow stronger = Cause I live 4 U U live 4 me We live 4 Him
We'll treasure every moment of this new life we share No lonely days or nights cause I will be there Should there ever be a doubt what this love is all about Remember what we seal today in prayer
I live 4 U U live 4 me = We'll live 4 Him
Thru all the years The laughter and tears Thru thick and thin Faithful and true My love 4 you will only grow stronger = Cause I live 4 U U live 4 me We live 4 Him
Faithful and true My love 4 you will only grow stronger = Cause I live 4 U U live 4 me and We live 4 Him

here's a love song by Christian singer Geoff Moore that i particularly enjoy:
IF YOU COULD SEE WHAT I SEE
all of my life i have dreamed that someday your love would find me and i can't believe you're standing here
If beauty is all in the eye of the beholder then i wish you could see the love for you that lives in me
(Chorus) And you would know you have my heart If you could see what i see that a treasure's what you are if you could see what i see Created to be the only one for me If you could see what i see
I know there are days when you feel so much less than ideal wondering what i see in you
It's all of the light and the grace your belief in me drives me to say that i promise you a faithful love, forever true
(Chorus)
if you could see... then you'd understand why i fall down to my knees and i pray my love will be worthy of the One who gave His life so that our love could be
if you could see what i see(x2)
Created to be The only one for me If you could see What i see
if beauty is all in the eye of the beholder then i am beholding... true beauty

BRIAN LITTRELL LYRICS
"Over My Head"
I tried to figure it out Time and time again.....and time again I guess there's just some things I'll never understand 'Cause Your ways aren't our ways But deep down in my soul, down in my soul There is one thing I know that I know
Yeah I'm in over my head Right where I wanna be I'm so lost within Your love The love that always covers me So high, so deep, so wide A strong and cleansing tide My soul has found a place to rest I'm in over my head
I've been holding on Now I'm letting go, just letting go Gonna let Your love carry me away I don't know where I'm going But I'm surrounded by the Truth And I can feel the current pulling me Deeper and deeper into You
I'm in over my head Right where I wanna be I'm so lost within Your love The love that always covers me So high, so deep, so wide A strong and cleansing tide My soul has found a place to rest I'm in over my head
I'm in over my head Right where I wanna be I'm so lost within Your love The love that always covers me So high, so deep, so wide A strong and cleansing tide My soul has found a place to rest I'm in over my head
I'm in over my head
I'm in over
You see me for who I am You did reach out Your hand You made me understand That Your love has always covered me

Big Daddy Weave: Fields of Grace
There's a place that I love to run and play!
There's a place that I sing new songs of praise!
Dancin' with my Father God in fields of grace Dancin' with my Father God in fields of grace
There's a place that I lose myself within......... There's a place that I find myself again!!!
Dancin' with my Father God in fields of grace Dancin' with my Father God in fields of grace
There's a place where religion finally dies. There's a place that I lose my selfish pride.
Dancin' with my Father God in fields of grace Dancin' with my Father God in fields of grace Dancin' with my Father God in fields of grace Dancin' with my Father God in fields of: GRACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love my Father, my Father loves me I dance for my Father, my Father sings over me.
Yeah, I love my Father, my Father loves me I dance for my Father, my Father sings over me.
Yeah Nothing, nothing nothing can take that away from me
Yeah, Nothing, nothing And nothing can take that away from me
There's a place where religion finally dies. There's a place that I lose my selfish pride.
Dancin' with my Father God in fields of grace Dancin' with my Father God in fields of grace Come dance with our Father God in fields of grace
Dancin' with my Father God in fields of grace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HalleluYah!!!!!!!!!!!!

Third Day Call My Name
It's been so long since You felt like you were loved So what went wrong? But do you know There's a place where you belong Here in My Arms.
Chorus: When you feel like you're alone in your sadness It seems like no one else in this whole world cares And you want to get away from the madness You just call My Name and I'll be there You just call My Name and I'll be there
The pain inside Has erased your hope for love Soon you will find That I'll give you all That your heart could ever want And so much more
Chorus: When you feel like you're alone in your sadness It seems like no one else in this whole world cares And you want to get away from the madness You just call My Name and I'll be there You just call My Name and I'll be there
You just call My Name You just call My Name
Call My Name say it now I want you to never doubt The love I have for you is so alive Call My Name say it now I want you to never doubt The love I have for you is so alive
You just call My Name You just call My Name You just call My Name now
ooohhhh
The love I have for you is so alive The love I have for you is so alive You just call My Name You just call My Name You just call My Name

Bebo Norman Nothing Without You
Take these hands and lift them up For I have not the strength to praise You near enough See I have nothing, I have nothing without You
Take my voice and pour it out Let it sing the songs of mercy I have found For I have nothing, I have nothing without You
Chorus: All my soul needs Is all Your love to cover me So all the world will see That I have nothing without You
Take my body and build it up May it be broken as an offering of love For I have nothing, I have nothing without You
All my soul needs Is all Your love to cover me So all the world will see That I have nothing
But I love You:
With all my heart With all my soul With all my mind With all the strength that I can find
Take my time here on this earth And let it glorify all that You are worth For I am nothing, I am nothing without You

Stephen Curtis Chapman We Will Dance
I've watched the sunrise in your eyes And I've seen the tears fall like the rain You've seen me fight so brave and strong You've held my hand when I'm afraid
We've watched the seasons come and go We'll see them come and go again But in winter's chill, or summer's breeze One thing will not be changin'
CHORUS: We will dance When the sun is shining In the pouring rain We'll spin and we'll sway And we will dance When the gentle breeze Becomes a hurricane The music will play And I'll take your hand And hold you close to me And we, will dance
Sometimes it's hard to hold you tight Sometimes we feel so far apart Sometimes we dance as one And feel the beat of each others heart
Some days the dance is slow and sweet Some days we're bouncing off the walls No matter how this world may turn Our love will keep us from fallin'
CHORUS: We will dance When the sun is shining In the pouring rain We'll spin and we'll sway And we will dance When the gentle breeze Becomes a hurricane The music will play And I'll take your hand And hold you close to me And we, will dance
The music will play And I'll hold you close And I won't let go Even when our steps Grow weak and slow Still I'll take your hand And hold you close to me And we, Will dance

Stephen Curtis Chapman Dive lyrics
The long-awaited rains have fallen hard upon the thirsty ground And carved their way to where the wild and rushing river can be found And like the rains I have been carried here to where the river flows,
yeah
My heart is racin' and my knees are weak as I walk to the edge I know there is no turning back once my feet have left the ledge And in the rush I hear a voice, it's telling me it's time to Take the leap of faith So here I go
I'm diving in I'm going deep In over my head,I wanna be Caught in the rush Lost in the flow In over my head I wanna go The river's deep The river's wide The river's water is alive So sink or swim I'm diving in
I'm diving in
I'm diving in
There is a supernatural power in this mighty river's flow It can bring the dead to life, and it can fill an empty soul And give a heart the only thing worth livin' and worth dyin' for,
yeah
But we will never know the awesome power of the grace of God Until we let ourselves get swept away into this holy flood So if you'll take my hand, we'll close our eyes and count to three And take the leap of faith Come on let's go!
I'm diving in I'm going deep In over my head I wanna be Caught in the rush Lost in the flow In over my head, I wanna go The river's deep The river's wide The river's water is alive So sink or swim I'm diving in
I'm diving in
I'm diving in
I'm diving in
Here I go
Come on let's go! I'm diving in I'm going deep In over my head I wanna be Caught in the rush Lost in the flow In over my head I wanna go The river's deep The river's wide The river's water is alive So sink or swim I'm diving in
I'm diving in
I'm diving in I'm going deep In over my head I wanna be Caught in the rush Lost in the flow In over my head I wanna go The river's deep The river's wide The river's water is alive So sink or swim I'm diving in
So sink or swim I'm diving in
I'm diving in
I'm diving in
I'm diving in

Here are the lyrics to a powerful song by Ramsie Shick. my bride was diagnosed with MS in 2004, and the lyrics and spirit of this song touched her in some very deep ways -- praise Yah, tho, for there is a Healer in the land of Jacob, and when the time is full all illness will become the stuff of legend and myth!
SLEEVE
You Were walking through the crowd You were carrying Your heart out loud On your sleeve Right where everyone could see There was power in Your touch They were wanting that so much
Broken Right from my mother’s womb Illness sat with me in every room Promised death would be here soon But death is pretty to the sick And tombs are cradles for the poor The terminal would never ask for more Unless a miracle tore down their door
I Was watching from the edge My life was hanging from a narrow ledge I wished You would see The way affliction swelled inside of me And how I’d been without a remedy The way the body tried to fight Things the soul could never make right Please heal my heart Let my gladness start
Heal Is that a word for me As I wait expectantly As I watch You make that blind man see But they keep drawing near in waves Just to hear what You would say There’s not enough of You to save Each one that longs to know Your Father’s healing way
So I dove deep into the crowd And hurried over in my dying shroud In hopes to brush against Your sleeve In hopes Your healing would rub off on me And as I held Your cloth in hand I heard a voice in You command SICKNESS GET OUT OF THE LAND My illness sifted out like pouring sand You drew Your walk into a roaring stand “Who drew the power from My hand?”
“Me. I’m sorry, it was me.” But then Your face returned a smile to me. We both knew that I was free. “Daughter you are free. Your faith has found its way to Me.” It’s something everyone should see That last blind reach out of infirmity
If You’ve been groping for His sleeve You feel you’ve only reached out aimlessly You just can’t reach The Man who walks through crowds with healing power Walks before you at this very hour He holds His heart out on His sleeve He tells you now you must perceive:
My Word is My sleeve Every letter falls in place to weave A hem of mercy to reach endlessly, endlessly Let these pages drape across your fingers You can feel the fabric Of My sweet salvation linger And you can touch Me in these lines They describe the purpose Intended in My mind for you - it’s good, it’s good, it’s good, it’s good I plan to bring you welfare I plan to bring you peace To hold you in My arms And keep you from all harm Just hang on to My sleeve Just hang on to My sleeve

This is a song that I think is asking to be made like Messiah. From our experience in our "Pharisee Phase" (I know some won't like that word but that's what we call it) we feel like we stalled in our walk and the water stopped moving and the rains stopped. I think this is sorta talking about that kind of phase...like you become distracted and stop caring about people. Since some Pharisees had no love or compassion. Messiah didn't rebuke the sick woman from touching Him, He called her daughter. And it talks about some white washing going on too. Paul suffered illness but those that loved him didn't see it as a burden.
Brandon Heath Give Me Your Eyes
Looked down from a broken sky Traced out by the city lights My world from a mile high Best seat in the house tonight Touched down on the cold black tile Hold on for the sudden stop Breath in the familiar shock Of confusion and chaos Are those people going somewhere? Why have I never cared?
Chorus: Give me Your eyes for just one second Give me Your eyes so I can see Everything that I keep missing Give me Your love for humanity Give me Your arms for the broken hearted The ones far beyond my reach Give me Your heart for the once forgotten Give me Your eyes so I can see again again yeah yeah
Step out on a busy street See a girl and our eyes meet Does her best to smile at me To hide whats underneath Theres a man just to her right Black suit and a bright red tie To ashamed to tell his wife He's out of work He's buying time Are those people going somewhere? Why have I never cared?
Chorus Give me Your eyes for just one second Give me Your eyes so I can see Everything that I keep missing Give me Your love for humanity Give me Your arms for the broken hearted The ones far beyond my reach Give me Your heart for the once forgotten Give me Your eyes so I can see again again yeah yeah
Ive Been there a million times A couple of million eyes Just moving past me by I swear I never thought that I was wrong Well I want a second glance So give me a second chance To see the way You see the people all alone
Give me Your eyes for just one second Give me Your eyes so I can see Everything that I keep missing Give me Your love for humanity Give me Your arms for the broken hearted The ones far beyond my reach Give me Your heart for the once forgotten Give me Your eyes so I can see again again yeah yeah

I think sometimes things happen in life so that we experience love, vulnerability, and trust in new and deepers ways and levels. It's been hard sometimes not to wonder how different we'd be as individuals and a couple if we had children. This is a song by Creed, I think they'd prob be in the category of like Switchfoot and Lifehouse (we bought a Lifehouse cd tonight). Anyway this talks about finding out you're going to have a child and I thought some people here might like it if they've never heard it.
"With Arms Wide Open"
Well I just heard the news today It seems my life is going to change I close my eyes, begin to pray Then tears of joy stream down my face
With arms wide open Under the sunlight Welcome to this place I'll show you everything With arms wide open With arms wide open
Well I don't know if I'm ready To be the man I have to be I'll take a breath, I'll take her by my side We stand in awe, we've created life
With arms wide open Under the sunlight Welcome to this place I'll show you everything With arms wide open Now everything has changed I'll show you love I'll show you everything With arms wide open With arms wide open I'll show you everything ...oh yeah With arms wide open..wide open
[Guitar Break]
If I had just one wish Only one demand I hope he's not like me I hope he understands That he can take this life And hold it by the hand And he can greet the world With arms wide open...
With arms wide open Under the sunlight Welcome to this place I'll show you everything With arms wide open Now everything has changed I'll show you love I'll show you everything With arms wide open With arms wide open I'll show you everything..oh yeah With arms wide open....wide open

Burning One,
We will keep your wife and family in our prayers. May you both walk in all His promises including health and properity so that you be fruitful for kingdom work.
We pray for these things in our lives, may we be seen as fruitful and trustworthy servants, blessed and equipped for kingdom work.
Shalom, Renae (& Adrian)

By His Wounds Isaiah 53:5
He was pierced for our transgressions He was crushed for our sins The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed
He was pierced for our transgressions He was crushed for our sins The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed
We are healed by Your sacrifice And the life that You gave We are healed for You paid the price By Your grace we are saved We are saved
He was pierced for our transgressions And crushed for our sins The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed
We are healed by Your sacrifice And the life that You gave We are healed for You paid the price By Your grace we are saved We are saved
He was pierced for our transgressions He was crushed for our sins The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed And by His wounds, by His wounds...........
What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus

This is a simple, short, and sweet love song. Recently, it became a sentimental fav of me and A's, along with a few others. I remember in high school couples or friends would make tapes to exchange with their fav music. I think that it would be cool to download/or burn and make a cd of some of the songs we've shared here. Anyone interested? I know I have a vid coming . You Are So Beautiful To Me Joe Cocker You are so beautiful To me You are so beautiful To me Can't you see You're everything I hoped for You're everything I need You are so beautiful To me You are so beautiful To me You are so beautiful To me Can't you see You're everything I hoped for You're everything I need You are so beautiful To me

This song reminds me of a conversation I had with someone on this board. It made me question, who gets to define what is music? Notes heard with the ears? What is poetry? Words with a certain rhythm and rhyme?
What if one can't speak? What if one can't hear?
Must they miss the music? I say NO! Can they not sing? I say NO!
What if someone's love takes your breath away so that words can not reciprocate what they have expressed to you? Surely there would be a way to express and communicate to that person.
Here on this board there are many miscommunications because we share written words, and it has been said that we only get a glimpse of the person, not their full presence.
I don't want to promote all of this band's music/lyrics, but I share this song because I think the lyrics are beautiful and capture this sentiment. I am very appreciative of all the friends and fellowship that this board has provided. And it has also made it possible that we get to know more about each other off the board. We look forward to when we get to meet some of the friends we've made in person. Some people may be gifted in ways that are better shared in person, like healing. Not saying healing can't take place over the board, but I've heard of laying on of hands and there being healing.
More Than Words Extreme
Saying I love you Is not the words I want to hear from you. It's not that I want you Not to say, but if you only knew... How easy it would be to show me how you feel. More than words is all you have to do to make it real Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me Cos I'd already know What would you do if my heart was torn in two? More than words to show you feel That your love for me is real. What would you say if I took those words away? Then you couldn't make things new Just by saying I love you. More than words. Now I've tried to talk to you and make you understand All you have to do is close your eyes And just reach out your hands and touch me, Hold me close don't ever let me go. More than words is all I ever needed you to show Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me Cos I'd already know. What would you do if my heart was torn in two? More than words to show you feel That your love for me is real. What would you say if I took those words away? Then you couldn't make things new Just by saying I love you. More than words.

I Want To Know You Words and Music by Darrell Evans
When Your heart beats I want to feel it
When Your voice speaks I want to hear it
When Your eyes cry I want to catch the tears
I want to know You
When Your heart beats I want to feel it
When Your voice speaks I want to hear it
When Your eyes cry I want to catch the tears
I want to know You
Oh my Lord, I want to know You Oh my Lord, I want to know You
When You breathe Lord I want to breathe with You
When You make a move I want to move with You
When You're calling I want to answer You
I want to know You
Oh my Lord, I want to know You
This is my prayer oh God!
Oh my Lord, I want to know You
I want to know You Oh God!
I want to know You This is a prayer of my heart
I want to know You my Lord
I want to know You Oh
I want to know You Yeah
I want to know You my Lord
I want to know You
Oh my Lord, I want to know You
Oh my Lord, I want to know You
Just want to know You
oh
Hear the passionate cry of my heart oh God yeah!

here's one of my own...
A MERCY UNMEASURED
The tears that run down my cheek Are laced with the knowledge that I am weak. In my stuttering prayers I seek amends For a vicious circle that never ends.
In the empty hours of the night When I’ve lost all will and strength to fight, I give in to the tempests of remorse, And stagger beneath their crippling force.
My memories run in rivulets, Tainted by shadows of so many regrets. Of accusations I can’t dismiss, Of betrayals akin to Judas’ kiss.
I know I’m young but my heart is old, It is scarred and hard and numb from cold. And the secrets that I hoard inside Are the shames that I have tried to hide.
But in the silhouette of the Holy Every blemish is defined in me… Every mark of Cain, every washed hand, Just another witness that I am damned.
The gavel falls with every rooster’s crow, And all the times I’ve denied I cannot know. For the flames that have been warming me leap from the campfires of the enemy.
So if I stay here I have no choice But to curse Messiah with my own voice. But if I leave here what can I do? For I’ve lost any truth that I once knew…
So I turn my face to stalk innocence - An elusive dream and still my best defense. It is down a path I’ve never been, But I know I can’t go back to where I’ve been.
For behind me looms the image of the beast, And he looks just like me, to say the least. I don’t know what it is that I will find, But this path is better than what I’ll leave behind.
It is way narrow, and rough, and made of hard stone, Where the end is not in sight and the distance is unknown. Worn footprints speak of those who have also come this way, But I cannot trust in others when I struggle to even pray.
And when I think I can go on no more, I find what it is that I was looking for. A treasure beyond innocence is in this place, For the very air I breathe is naked grace.
In a mercy unmeasured I am upheld, And in the light of love all fears are quelled. A favor surpassing my damning worth Embraces my life with a second birth.
All striving for acceptance at last is done, For I’m created anew in the Image of the Son. By grace I’ve been saved, and by grace I will stand, And nothing shall remove me from Yah’s sure hand!

TOBYMAC - BURN FOR YOU Lyrics
I'm a brand new man, I'm a conscious man I'm a man who's burnin' for You The mistakes I've made have been chased away to the bottom of the ocean blue I'm a brand new man in a foreign land, I'm a man who's feelin' that fire And it's all so clear when I'm standing here at the peak of my desire
So won't You move me like You used to I want the world to know I burn for You
I feel revived again, I am alive again (Burnin' for You) You got me lifted and lifted You lift me up I feel revived again, I'm energized again (Burnin' for You) You got me lifted and lifted You lift me up
Let the smoke clear, Let the smoke clear
Woke up in a sweat, those ghosts in my head Had a grip, but I slipped on by It's a whole new day as the darkness fades And the sun's climbing in the sky I concede my love, that I need Your love I'm before You, a broken man And it's only You, no substitutes who can renew this soul again
So won't You move me like You used to I want the world to know I burn for You
I feel revived again, I am alive again (Burnin' for You) You got me lifted and lifted You lift me up I feel revived again, I'm energized again (Burnin' for You) You got me lifted and lifted You lift me up
I feel revived again, I am alive again (Burnin' for You) You got me lifted and lifted You lift me up
You got me higher than Kilimanjaro Got me believin' I can save the day I'm up and running like there ain't no tomorrow I'd rather burn for You than fade away I'd rather burn for You than go my way
I'm a whole new guy with a whole new vibe Changed inside - more flame in the fire Can't stop, won't stop praying for desire Like the bunny on the screen feel so energized Old shell gone without a trace, new face No more shortness of breath, new pace Live life now without the taste of fear TOBYMAC, Double Dutch now let the smoke clear Let the smoke clear, Let the smoke clear
I want the world to know I burn for You
I feel revived again, I am alive again (Burnin' for You) You got me lifted and lifted You lift me up I feel revived again, I'm energized again (Burnin' for You) You got me lifted and lifted You lift me up
I feel revived again, I am alive again (Burnin' for You) You got me lifted and lifted You lift me up I feel revived again, I'm energized again (Burnin' for You) You got me lifted and lifted You lift me up
I am alive again You got me lifted and lifted You lift me up I'm energized again You got me lifted and lifted You lift me up
I am alive again You lift me up You lift me up

Steven Curtis Chapman \ Fingerprints Of God
I can see the tears filling your eyes And I know where they're coming from They're coming from a heart that's broken in two By what you don't see The person in the mirror Doesn't look like the magazine Oh, but when I look at you it's clear to me that...
I can see the fingerprints of God When I look at you I can see the fingerprints of God And I know it's true You're a masterpiece That all creation quietly applauds And you're covered with the fingerprints of God
Never has there been and never again Will there be another you Fashioned by God's hand And perfectly planned To be just who you are And what He's been creating Since the first beat of your heart Is a living breathing priceless work of art and...
I can see the fingerprints of God When I look at you I can see the fingerprints of God And I know it's true You're a masterpiece That all creation quietly applauds And you're covered with the fingerprints of God
Just look at you You're a wonder in the making Oh, and God's not through, no In fact, He's just getting started and…
I can see the fingerprints of God When I look at you I can see the fingerprints of God And I know it's true You're a masterpiece That all creation quietly applauds And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

"Set The World On Fire (Brit Nicole)" Lyrics
I wanna set the world on fire Until it's burning bright for You It's everything that I desire Can I be the one You use?
I, I am small but You, You are big enough I, I am weak but You, You are strong enough to Take my dreams Come and give them wings YHWH with You There's nothing I can not do Nothing I cannot do
I wanna feed the hungry children And reach across the farthest land And tell the broken there is healing And mercy in the Father's hands
My hands my feet My everything My life, my love YHWH, use me
I wanna set the world on fire I wanna set the world on fire, yeah
I'm gonna set the world on fire Set the world on fire

All Kinds Of Everything Lyrics
Snowdrops and daffodils butterflies and bees sailboats and fishermen things of the sea wishing-wells wedding bells early morning dew all kinds of everything remind me of you
Seagulls and aeroplanes things of the sky winds that go howlin’ breezes that sigh city sights neon lights grey skies or blue all kinds of everything remind me of you
Summertime wintertime spring and autumn too Monday Tuesday every day I think of you. Dances romances things of the night sunshine and holidays postcards to write Budding trees autumn leaves a snowflake or two all kinds of everything remind me of you.
Summertime wintertime spring and autumn too seasons will never change the way that I love you.
Dances romances things of the night sunshine and holidays postcards to write Budding trees autumn leaves a snowflake or two all kinds of everything remind me of you. All kinds of everything remind me of you.

The Lemon Latasha A Willis Oblong, bright, and a fragrance with a bite
Unexpected chaos within
Sever it slowly, and the fragrance intensifies
Its pulp glistens, and a drop of juice trickles out
Seems innocent enough
But as you pick up one half
And bite it with a slurp
Your lips are drawn in like a string on a sack
Your cheeks cave in
Your eyes begin to water
Your nostrils are tickled and overwhelmed
As you remove the piece from your mouth
You wonder how anyone could enjoy such a creation
Then suddenly you realize that this acidic wonder has potential
You decide to rein in that flavor
With a glass of pure liquid life
You squeeze its contents into the glass
And take another chance and taste it
It’s calmer, but the concoction needs a companion
Sweet crystals are added and gently blended in
Then when you taste it this time
The sour and sweet mingle together
In a way that is pleasantly refreshing
Suddenly it comes to you
Life can bear a bushel of sour fruit
But when you tame those little beasts
With purity and sweet expectation
You end up with a product
That soothes your weary soul
So take a sip
Savor its goodness
And know that all is well

They tell you where you need to go Tell you when you’ll need to leave Tell you what you need to know Tell you who you need to be
But everything inside you knows There's more than what you’ve heard There's So much more than empty conversations Filled with empty words
Chorus:
And you’re on fire When He’s near you You’re on fire When He speaks You’re on fire Burning hot at these mysteries
Give me one more time around Give me one more chance to see yeah Give me everything You are Give me one more chance to be near You
When everything inside me looks like Everything I hate You are the hope I have for change You are the only chance I’ll take
Chorus: When I’m on fire When You’re near me I’m on fire When You speak And I’m on fire Burning hot at these mysteries These mysteries... mysteries mysteries
You're on fire You're on fire You're on fire
I’m standing on the edge of me (x3) I’m standing on the edge I’m standing on the of everything I've never been before I’m standing on the edge I’m standing on the edge
Chorus:

Artist: Dean Martin Song: That's Amore
(In Napoli where love is King) (When boy meets girl) (Here's what they say)
When the moon hits your eye Like a big-a pizza pie That's amore When the world seems to shine Like you've had too much wine That's amore
Bells'll ring Ting-a-ling-a-ling Ting-a-ling-a-ling And you'll sing "Vita bella" Hearts'll play Tippi-tippi-tay Tippi-tippi-tay Like a gay tarantella
When the stars make you drool Joost-a like pasta fazool That's amore When you dance down the street With a cloud at your feet, you're in love When you walk in a dream But you know you're not dreamin', signore 'Scusami, but you see Back in old Napoli, that's amore
(When the moon hits your eye) (Like a big-a pizza pie, that's amore)
That's amore
(When the world seems to shine (Like you've had too much wine, that's amore)
That's amore
(Bells will ring) (Ting-a-ling-a-ling) (ting-a-ling-a-ling) (And you'll sing "Vita bella") (Vita bell-vita bella) (Hearts will play) (Tippi-tippi-tay, tippi-tippi-tay) (Like a gay tarantella)
Lucky fella
When the stars make you drool just like pasta fazool That's amore (that's amore) When you dance down the street With a cloud at your feet, you're in love When you walk in a dream But you know you're not dreaming, signore 'Scusami, but you see Back in old Napoli, that's amore

sticking to the "fiery" theme as of late:
the lyrics to BURNING CLEAN, by a personal fav. band, STAVESACRE
When this fleeting limelight fades And we're alone again What name will your heart speak? What is true? What is real? Not what you feel What you know eternally
Ten years running blind and aimlessly Warming by the fires of bridges burning Ten thousand peering eyes that can only see The show, the smile, the face i allow How many more break beneath the surface?
Young and bold, but blind and led by blind His person missed beyond His Name Was this the hope when we began? A tragic generation Of faithless children and forgotten love? I know I'd hoped for some other, higher purpose
What is true and what is real Past what you might feel What do you know eternally?
And when this fleeting limelight fades And we're alone again What name will your heart speak?
And if you see me on the way down Would you smile and send me on my way? And if you see me headed down Is there something more Between you and I? Something higher?
I want to be real again I want You, Father, be real in me
And if I see you on the way down I'll lift your name up into His care And if I see you headed down I'll do what I can to lift you up again
Burn us clean, refine this world away Make Yourself real in me Make us to live as You would

Empty Me - Chris Sligh Genre/Lang. : Christian
I've had just enough of the spotlight when it burns bright To see how it gets in the blood. And I've tasted my share of the sweet life and the wild ride And found a little is not quite enough. I know how I can stray And how fast my heart could change.
Empty me of the selfishness inside Every vain ambition and the poison of my pride And any foolish thing my heart holds to Lord empty me of me so I can be filled with You.
I've seen just enough of the quick buys of the best lies To know how prodigals can be drawn away. I know how I can stray And how fast my heart could change.
Empty me of the selfishness inside Every vain ambition and the poison of my pride And any foolish thing my heart holds to Lord empty me of me so I can be filled with You.
Cause everything is a lesser thing Compared to You, compared to You. Cause everything is a lesser thing Compared to You. So, I surrender all!
Empty me of the selfishness inside Every vain ambition and the poison of my pride Empty me of the selfishness inside Every vain ambition and the poison of my pride And any foolish thing my heart holds to Lord empty me of me so I can be, Lord empty me of me so I can be filled with You. Oh, filled with You. filled with You. Empty me.

Artist: Newsong Song: Red Letter Day
I do believe it's gonna be another red letter day It's gonna be another red letter day
Every day before the rush gets started I get down on my knees And I pray, Lord, I need You here to guide me Please speak to me And something happens that I can't explain His Word starts talking to me and I'm out to face this world again
I do believe it's gonna be another red letter day It's gonna be another red letter day I do believe it's gonna be another chance for me To take His Word and walk by faith I got a smile with every step I take Knowing He is here with me It's gonna be a red letter day!!!
I had a friend call me up and tell me How he struggles through each day I told him that I didn't have all of the answers This world's a crazy place But I've learned to hide God's word in my heart So I can have it with me when the pressures of the day start
I do believe it's gonna be another red letter day It's gonna be another red letter day I do believe it's gonna be another chance for me To take His Word and walk by faith I got a smile with every step I take Knowing He is here with me It's gonna be a red letter day!!!
I do believe
So many hidden treasures in God's Word for us to find The mysteries and secrets that are there to bring us life
I do believe it's gonna be another red letter day It's gonna be another red letter day I do believe it's gonna be another chance for me To take His Word and walk by faith I got a smile with every step I take Knowing He is here with me It's gonna be a red letter day!!!

The Music of the Heart In every human heart there is always a special song. A melody that touches the soul, a melody that can do no wrong. Sometimes we hear a sad song when good friends part, Or simply for a broken tired heart. Sometimes we hear a happy song when a new baby is born. Or simply it is just for a beautiful morn. With any song there are many movements, But that divine melody never ever relents. One movement will be sad; the next movement will make us feel glad. Life is made up of many songs. Each song is special. Each song belongs. Each day is orchestrated to perfection by the divine. But there will always be one song that is uniquely mine. The music of the heart accompanies us throughout life. In happiness and in strife. But it will always be there to bring comfort and peace. With this melody comes the greatest release. Embrace that special song in your heart. That divine melody and you will never ever part. It will always be there when you need to hear it. Be still, be at peace and listen to it. Always give thanks for that special song from above. Listen to the music of the heart and fill the world with love.

When I Linger in His Presence
Sometimes when shadows linger And darkness veils the night When pain obscures my vision And things aren’t going right.
When the world around me crumbles And a friend cannot be found When tomorrow holds no promise And life has got me down.
When I am at my lowest And I can bear no more I cry to Him in anguish He greets me at the door.
He gently whispers to me My soul has found release My troubles start to perish My worries seem to cease.
The hardships I have known Seem to vanish with the wind When I seek His loving Spirit And I humbly let Him in.
All the turmoil that surrounds me Seems to fade like shifting sand When I linger in His presence And He gently takes my hand.

I'm Not Alone
While crying out for guidance, holding that the flesh is weak, From within a gentle silence, comes the answers that I seek.
When my days are at their darkest and the nights produce no rest, in His spirit there's a stillness, where He summons up my best.
Since temptations are unyielding in their attempts to gain control, His grace provides the shielding, that protects my mortal soul.
Knowing I can not defeat them; yet, with Him I'm not alone, as He goes out to greet them, soon my troubles will be gone.
I am shielded by His blessing with this armor that I wear and safe from life's transgressions by the powers found in prayer.
My cup is free from sorrow, it's overflowing at the brim. I can stand and face tomorrow, having placed my faith in Him.

Written From The Heart
Poetry is a wonderful gift When written from the heart; It can bring a smile to a lonely face, Or make you cry and tear you apart.
You are given a glimpse into someone's life And with compassion you learn to feel, The need to share with others, Love and understanding, that is truly for real.
You don't ridicule others with the words you choose, If you've never walked in their shoes; You write with compassion and commitment, When you care for others, you cannot lose!
The words that you write, may affect others' lives, You must choose them wisely with care; Write from the heart with love and compassion, For this gift YHWH has given, for you to share.

I heard this at a friend's wedding, I heard it and I thought of them. And for another reason this time of year.
Bette Midler The Rose
Some say love it is a river that drowns the tender reed Some say love it is a razor that leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love it is a hunger an endless aching need I say love it is a flower and You it's only seed
It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance It's the dream afraid of waking that never takes a chance It's the one who won't be taken who cannot seem to give and the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live
When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long and you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows lies the seed that with the sun's love in the spring becomes the rose

Chorus:
And I’m on fire When You’re near me I’m on fire When You speak (yeah) I’m on fire Burning hot at these mysteries...

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is-within us. It is not in some of us, it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Just imagine if everybody understood that YOU and ALL you are is a gift to the world from YHWH. And when you bring your presence to someone's home or bedside or church you are blessing them with your presence, which is your ministry.
Well, I have preached myself happy!!!!
Love YOU, my spectacular gift from YHWH. Thank you for sharing your presence with me via email.

The Touch of the Masters Hand
Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer thought it scarcely worth his while to waste much time on the old violin, but held it up with a smile; "What am I bidden, good folks," he cried, "Who'll start the bidding for me?" "A dollar, a dollar"; then two!" "Only two? Two dollars, and who'll make it three? Three dollars, once; three dollars twice; going for three.." But no, from the room, far back, a gray-haired man came forward and picked up the bow; Then, wiping the dust from the old violin, and tightening the loose strings, he played a melody pure and sweet as caroling angel sings.
The music ceased, and the auctioneer, with a voice that was quiet and low, said; "What am I bid for the old violin?" And he held it up with the bow. A thousand dollars, and who'll make it two? Two thousand! And who'll make it three? Three thousand, once, three thousand, twice, and going and gone," said he. The people cheered, but some of them cried, "We do not quite understnad what changed its worth." Swift came the reply: "The touch of a master's hand."
And many a man with life out of tune, and battered and scarred with sin, Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd, much like the old violin, A "mess of pottage," a glass of wine; a game - and he travels on. "He is going" once, and "going twice, He's going and almost gone." But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd never can quite understand the worth of a soul and the change that's wrought by the touch of the Master's hand.

"Home"
Another summer day Has come and gone away In Paris and Rome But I wanna go home Mmmmmmmm, oh
May be surrounded by A million people I Still feel all alone I just wanna go home Oh, I miss you, you know
And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you Each one a line or two “I’m fine baby, how are you?” Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough My words were cold and flat And you deserve more than that
Another aeroplane Another sunny place I’m lucky, I know But I wanna go home Mmmm, I’ve got to go home
Let me go home I’m just too far from where you are I wanna come home
And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life It’s like I just stepped outside When everything was going right And I know just why you could not Come along with me 'Cause this was not your dream But you always believed in me
Another winter day has come And gone away In even Paris and Rome And I wanna go home Let me go home
And I’m surrounded by A million people I Still feel all alone Oh, let me go home Oh, I miss you, you know
Let me go home I’ve had my run Baby, I’m done I gotta go home Let me go home It will all be all right I’ll be home tonight I’m coming back home

Empty Womb
I had a certain picture Of how my life would be. But I forgot to ask my Lord What He had planned for me.
Just one life to fill my womb, All my dreams leaned toward. But idle waiting no one serves, And least of all, the Lord.
How precious still the things I have I'd somehow lost sight of, God did whisper to my heart, "Hold dear those things I love."
I thank the Lord for emptiness Where life still does not grow For oft' His richest blessing, On the surface, does not show.
He may return what I've let go, Or just want me to see: "You may not have just what you want, But always, you'll have Me."

Title: Rebirth
Deep down my soul wants to cry As satan whispers in my ears “you want to die” Yahweh keep me in your view Don’t allow satan to destroy everything pure and true
I hear a voice, Yahweh is it you Are you calling, calling me towards your grace May I rest in your secret place Will you allow your glory to shine upon my face
Don’t keep silent, help me please Father allow your mercy to flow within me I’m tired and have fallen to my knees Please stretch out your arm to help me up I’m like a babe weaned from its mother’s breast to drink from a ‘sippy’ cup
Wait! What is this I feel Yahweh’s comfort, ohhh my wounds have been healed New report in; that feeling in my soul of wanting to cry And satan on my back wishing I would die Just to let you know my struggles are gone Because satan has been destroyed and Yahweh still sits on his thrown
These words were inspired by the Almighty Yahweh!

That was a beautiful poem Riyyah, very moving. Its awesome to see more fellow believers out there with this wonderful talent of poetry.
World we live in
I sit and watch as cars go by. As the city lights slowly turn on. I watch as clouds darken the moon. Making the world seem what it truly is.
I look at people as they pass on by. I can't help but think. "What is the purpose?" To these fragile, meaningless lives.
We are born. We live. We give life and then die. What more to life then this?
We think. We eat. We drink and be merry. Is this not the essence of life?
What more beyond that yellow brick road? What life would we have led? What is really behind that second door? The path we did not choose.
We work. We build. We are taught then teach. To whom do we do all this?
Is there any light at the end of the tunnel? Or is there only darkness in this world of despair? Do we ever find the end of the rainbow? Or do we leave that pot of gold to the imagination?
We lie. We cheat. We steal and we kill. Where is the punishment for all our crimes? Why is it always the good die young?
Can't someone help me this night? To leave behind the bleakness in this world. To throw out all this fear. That we all seem to cling to.
As the city lights go out tonight. I lay in bed and hear a soft whisper. "Be quiet, be still. My loving child. Forget not why you are here. Tonight you will sleep without fear. For I will always be by your side."

Hello to everybody
What a wonderful place where we can share what is deep within our hearts - Our love for our saviour Yahushua. I heave read just about each and every entry here. I would like to share with you my very first poem I wrote about Him. It was in 2003. It was a dark time in my life, but He did the miracle and changed it around.
the silence of the Light
In the silence I return to You I found you in the midst of my confusion in the silence I feared most I found my greatest my truest love
The love I have always searched for longed for The love I am willing to give everything for
We have walked the long road My road to freedom Without me knowing You were there You have always been there
No matter how far and wide I stepped The road to freedom always lead back to You
You found me in darkness time and time again You showed me the light at first a gentle candle flicker in a dark tunnel The Light became brighter and brighter
The Light touched me Drew me closer
It became my companion, my trust, my love The Light has touched my deepest part The Light has now consumed me
And I now know the Light it became my life
And now I am a light A light of Jesus in a dark world.
Love to all Maria
