Yes we have a small fellowship that meets here in Paulden. We rent from a church for Shabbat services. We have been meeting together for about three years. Although we do have a couple of newcomers in our group. I LOVE having a group to meet with and midrash with!!!! We read the Torah portion each week then we midrash. It is great, you learn so much that way. We all don't always agree with everything, but that is ok. We keep it friendly and just keep on learning. We used to meet in Prescott so that might be what you heard about. We have people from Seligman and Williams that come to our group, and then us local people. We also do some davidic dancing which is fun!!

It does sound like a good time. Have you heard of anything up here in flagstaff? You know, the people and community of Flagstaff are so different from those in Prescott. Not a very warm people overall, of course not to say that I haven't met some really nice and wonderful people. People here just tend to really keep to themselves. Maybe because it is a university town. It kind of reminds me of the feeling I get when I am in Tucson. I am not fond of being on the road.

Actually, this is all very new to me, Shabbat, etc. But I have enjoyed learning here at EliYah forum and met some wonderful, loving, and kind people here. I am glad you are nearby. Keep me in mind, and I you, and maybe we will get together some time. Maybe if you have anything 'special' going on to where you would invite others in. What is midrash? ..........becky

No I have not heard of anything in Flagstaff, Sorry. And yes I am sure we will be doing some get togethers in the spring like for passover and such. You would be welcome anytime!! Anyway if you would like we could meet in Williams for lunch or something sometime. I'm sure it would be fun!! Why don't you e-mail me and I will give you my phone number at southland2@commspeed.net . And a midrash is where we all discuss scripture back and forth. Anyway the people I know down here are very warm and friendly. Do you fellowship with anyone?

Good morning, Candy,
I fellowship here at the forum. I have recently met some people here that I speak on the phone with occasionally. I'm sure it would be fun to meet in Williams some time, I love that kind of stuff. But I just don't do the highway thing anymore. I had a terrible experience years ago and haven't seemed to be able to get over it completely. Going out of town for me anymore is just too hard and too stressful. I'm really just a boring homebody! I will send you an email, though, and maybe we can talk some time. I will be 50 next month, I have five children, with two still at home. I have a six-month old grandson, Caleb, and I still can't believe that we have him! I read the Word daily and seek to serve Messiah with all my heart, in spite of my terrible failings. I like to laugh and enjoy girl talk. I work at home doing transcription. I am glad you aren't too far away, and if you ever invite me down yonder for get-together stuff, I might even make it! look for my email coming from onlybcc at justemail dot net. you might want to change your email to this format so it doesn't get picked up by the internet robots from outerspace.....becky

Hello Becky,
I will give you a call and we can talk. Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Believe me I am a pretty boring homebody myself, ha!! I will be 42 in january & we have 2 children one still at home who is ten and I homeschool him. The other one is 21 one and she lives down the road from us. We raise chickens, turkeys, goats & miniature horses. I do our canning from our garden, make our own soap, lotion, & milk products from our goat milk. So I keep pretty busy here at home. But I love to learn how to do things for ourselves, & not rely so much on the outside world. Oh we still do have to rely but just not as much.
Thank you about the e-mail address warning. I was wondering why people here on the forum were writing it out that way. Anyway talk to you soon.

Great! You sound very busy. My children both homeschooled also (I don't remember if I shared that). Levi, 11, and Erin, 15 (going on 16, gotta get that in there, you know!) Levi is a most wonderful little pen pal if your ten-year-old would like to do that. He is very faithful about keeping in touch. Wow, you are really impressive! You may have to teach me a few things someday.

I have a really good phone plan, no more than $20 a month unlimited long distance and weekends and nights free, so if you ever want to call, I can always call you right back. I will leave it up to you to call since I am more readily sitting by my phone than you probably are. And if you call and I am not here, leave a message with my family with a good time to call and I will call you right back as soon as I can. Anyway, talk to you later..........becky
