So what kind of homemade hot sauce recipes do you have? Do you sell them or just make them for your own use?.........becky

Chileheads are people who heat up almost everything they eat with hot sauce, hot salsa, hot picante sauce, or hot peppers. I make hot sauces for my own use and to give to my friends. When I can get them, I use Red Savina Habanero and Naga Jolokia peppers to make my sauces. Click on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Savina_pepper and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naga_Jolokia_pepper I use recipes I find on the web. I often change them to suite my taste. My sauces are extremely hot. I let some of the guys at work try some and they had to throw there food away. I take a bottle with me to Mexican restaurants. </font> Hi Tommy, Actually, hot peppers are good for you. How long have you been eating them so hot? Have you burned up the nerves in your tongue? ha! Have you ever tried cayenne pepper eye wash? A few weeks ago my husband had something going on in one of his eyes. He used the eye wash and in a day or so it cleared up. No surprise, huh? And if used on a daily basis, it is supposed to clear up cataracts, etc. There is a book by Sam Biser called Curing With Cayenne. I will check out your links. I'm sure messing with these peppers all the time, at some point you have gotten them in your eyes. I have tried the eyewash. It's pretty cool because it burns while you are using it, but seconds after you stop it doesn't burn. You can use cayenne for nasal infections, too. Seriously, check out Sam's book if you don't have it. I used to like HOT sauces; still do, but if you get away from it you have to get used to it again. I eat it all the time, just not as hot as you, I'm sure. I used to say 'so hot I can't stand it, so good I can't quit.' True,huh?......becky [This message has been edited by becky (edited 09-21-2007).]
