Originally posted by Yahs_Lamb: do you all use a scanner to place pictures in here, or how do you do it ? You can use a scanner, but I think you have to have the image on a web photo site, I use Photobucket for uploads, because my Webshots albums don't seem to have the ability to upload images into threads, although the bulk of my 100+ photos are there. In Photobucket you can upload your image from your scanner folder or a photo CD, or digital camera image. There is a spot for copying the necessary code to make the image come up. I wish that I had made my image a bit smaller, heck you can almost see all my wrinkles!! :-D

Hello exodus, No,Unless my sister posted it somewhere. Where do you think you saw it? I have one of those faces, I am told! At least here in Arizona. The only other place I have posted it is at photobucket where I set it up or maybe someone from this site copied and posted it somewhere.....The picture was taken this year in March the day of my mother's funeral. My sister loves Yah as much as I do. We love to talk about Him via email or by phone as we live at different ends of the state. Here's an extreme close-up of me in front of the homestead...(just kidding, it's me in front of a cabin at Jackson's Mill, the birthplace of Stonewall Jackson here in WV). The other pic is of 5 of the 9 kids, from left to right, Brittany, Travis, Justin, Michael, and littlest one Robby.

Is David the only male interested in this? Seeing what everyone looks like, making people more real, with their families. I doubt i can do mine, but once i'm in my new home with a real connection, maybe so..
We should be traveling soon, if i can figure out i may be able to find a feast somewhere on the way. But i never even remember when they are; i'll look them up again when we're ready to go.

Oh Wow; Real faces to go with the names. How wonderful! I enjoyed seeing all of you so very much!
Thanks for the nice words saying I looked like I could be my Grandsons Mom. Our 10th Grandbaby will be born this Dec. 2007. Our youngest daugter and hubby have 3 boys and are having their first girl.

Bluesun,
Thank you! I haven't dressed the dog up in awhile. We have a new dog hopefully we will have some pics up of him soon. I wish I had taken the pics of our den after I found this pillow...it has a squirrel (which I say is a cute rat) and it has acorns on it and it says "Welcome to the Nut House". We got it because it said that and it had acorns on it. If I update it with a pic I will tell you. Plus we have more nature pics to put up.
Shalom, Naesimo

Shalom Sharon Sharon, That's funny ! We don't get alot of visitors, and when people leave they prob say "that's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there" LOL. We updated the pics part of the site: http://www.hopeville.net/about%20us/Pics.html I listed the changes if folks find themselves with nothing better to do. Shalom, Naesimo PS-Did you see the albino squirrel? That's the second one we've ever seen. It's Thursday so maybe we'll have even more pics to add soon, we try to see the sunset on Thursdays, and now it seems Fridays too.

I have lived here in the Nevada desert for 20+ years now and so all the green and trees and WATER look so good to me. I have enjoyed my stay here in the desert until about a year ago. I think I am being prepared to move. For one I don't enjoy the heat as much since I am older now and seem to produce more of my own heat LOL! And I have a dream of a community with my huge extended family and I believe YHWH put it in my heart because I am actually quite solitary by nature - greatly enjoy my own company in the presence of YAH and realize how much adaptation and getting over myself it requires to live in community. when people leave they prob say "that's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there" LOL. just a little suggestion, break the habit of thinking what others think. but if you can't then at least make it GOOD. I always tell my kids - You ain't no fortune teller or mind reader but if you insist on doing that at least make it good. So, I bet your visitors would probably say" that's a nice place to visit and I especially enjoyed the shalom in their home!" Love Shalom Sharon

Love Shalom SharonSharon, I thought what you wrote was really nice too. I'm glad that we are going to be friends because I think I can learn alot from you. In the desert is it like a dry heat? In the south it's heat+humidity=sultry. Sometimes it's hard to breathe and we don't like to go outside much. Do you like to garden and what kind of plants grow well in the desert? If you garden do you use special irrigation techniques? We need to learn to better utilize rain water I think, sometimes the water bill gets high in the summer. I would like to hear more about you being solitary by nature, and how you feel you are overcoming that. If you don't mind sharing. You could email me if it would take the topic off too much. What you said: just a little suggestion, break the habit of thinking what others think. but if you can't then at least make it GOOD. I always tell my kids - You ain't no fortune teller or mind reader but if you insist on doing that at least make it good. It sorta reminds me of what my mom would say "don't try to impress anybody and try not to depress anybody". So, I bet your visitors would probably say" that's a nice place to visit and I especially enjoyed the shalom in their home!" I like that! I would like to hear more about you being solitary by nature, and how you feel you are overcoming that. If you don't mind sharing. You could email me if it would take the topic off too much.
What you said:
quote:just a little suggestion, break the habit of thinking what others think. but if you can't then at least make it GOOD. I always tell my kids - You ain't no fortune teller or mind reader but if you insist on doing that at least make it good.
It sorta reminds me of what my mom would say "don't try to impress anybody and try not to depress anybody".
quote:So, I bet your visitors would probably say" that's a nice place to visit and I especially enjoyed the shalom in their home!"
I like that! It does seem like you have a way with words .
Shalom & Love, Naesimo Shalom naesimo Yes the heat is very dry. Real tough on this freckled Irish Caucasian skin! I love when we go to California my skin just plumps up beautifully and I look 10 years younger LOL. I am a novice gardener and I have my little patch in the back yard. It is 1/2 flowers and half veggies and herbs. You can grow many things here if you have shade and water. I 'll post you some pictures as soon as possible. The desert is beautiful in it's own way. My tomatoes are doing well NOW since the nights are cool and days are 70's. I built a mister around my little garden and I would run it during the hottest part of the day like 11 am to 2 pm. It waters as well as keeping the temperature around the garden down. We have mandatory rules around here about water and you can get fined for inefficient uses. Like sprinklers that hit sidewalks, watering between 11 am and 7pm, and sprinklers more than one day a week in the winter. They actually have water police who will come and write you a ticket> I do like the dry. I grew up in OHIO and I remember when things got wet they would get that moldy smell. Not here, EVERYTHING evaporates! I have a pool and I read on the water page that if we didn't use covers for our pools and didn't refill it would evaporate the whole 19,000 gallons by fall. I thought that was incredible. As for my solitary by nature, I just enjoy my own company and silence.I think it is a good thing and doesn't need to be too overcome. Messiah went off to be alone with the Father regularly. I think I have a good balance in my nature. I just have to adjust my attitude when I am with people to be present and enjoy them but make sure I get my quiet time with my books or just silence. I try to never let things inanimate (stuff) be more important than the people in my life so I have learned to lower my housekeeping expectations and be thankful for all my peoples. I don't mind staying here in this forum since it is the fellowship forum, Ain't that what we doing? Fellowshipping. Love & Shalom sister Sharon

Love & Shalom sister Sharon Sharon, Thank you for calling me sister. I am looking forward to seeing your pics. I think that's a good idea about the mister. Humming birds are attracted to things like that too aren't they, I mean like sprinklers? We like to watch them. I wondered if water conservation was an issue for you. That is incredible about how the pool would evaporate. That's another bad thing about the humidity it can create a mold prob. I apologize if I misunderstood what you said about being solitary. Are you saying what I've heard people say "if you don't take care of yourself how can you take care of others?". Is that the balance you have, taking time for yourself and being alone with Father so you have what you need to give when around others? I hope we are fellowshipping! Shalom & love to you, Naesimo PS-I think you and your husband look so cute together!!!! [This message has been edited by naesimo (edited 11-02-2007).]

Everybody, This is more fun than I thought it would be! Thanks Bluesun for creating this topic and everybody sharing. eliyahuwitz, One of your pics (shorts and coffee cup) reminded me of one of my fav pics when I was little. My dad does something like that sometimes, it's funny. When we were Seniors you could buy a page at the back of the Yearbook as a type of memory page. That's why the pic is black and white, it's scanned from my page. We sat down with our families and picked out our fav pics and wrote a little note. So we decided to put thoses Sr.Pages on our site so people could see them. http://www.hopeville.net/about%20us/Srpages.html Shalom & love, Naesimo & AdoniYah [This message has been edited by naesimo (edited 11-02-2007).]

Thank You Robin Olson Greetings, Robin, I am posting a link where I gave Stephen instructions on how to post pics. If you need more help, let me know. Just scroll down when you get there to find where I am explaining to Stephen. It is actually the post just above his pics....... http://www.eliyah.com/forum2/Forum13/HTML/000057-2.html Also, it might keep confusion down if you would consider getting your own username. .....blessed day to you.....becky

Bluesun, Thank you!
Shalom, Naesimo Bluesun, Do you remember me telling you about our new dog and I hoped I would have some pics of him on our site soon? We put our site back up and it has some new pics on it, and pics of him. Pics of Bubba http://www.hopeville.net/oursite/Bubba.html Funny pics of our other dog and the Karate Monkey A brought me back from Maryland http://www.hopeville.net/oursite/Karate_Monkey.html Here are pics of the new living room decor we worked on while A was unemployed http://www.hopeville.net/oursite/new_LR_decor.html Here is a brief update on A's new job http://www.hopeville.net/oursite/About_Us.html Shabbat Shalom, Renae (& Adrian)
