I wanted to share a story that happened this weekend. I first of all very proud to see Yahuah working in the lives of my family. This Shabbat was the first day of dove season. We usually don't miss the first day......however, this year we did because it fell on Shabbat. So we went on the first day of the week. We arrived to my in-laws property in the early afternoon. My girls and i went to get groceries to cook on the grill and my husband and son set up. A few hours later - the meal was almost ready. They had taken a good number of dove

I had an opportunity presented to me to discuss the up in coming FOT and why my family was going. I then began telling my brother in law about Yahushua's name - i've sent him emails before but never have i spoken to him about the topic. I explained how i came to know the name and why it was important - i didn't get to finish telling or reminding him of the scripture verse that i hang on that says that "there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved". He began telling me that last church he had gone up to ask his pastor the question about Yahushua's name and Jim (my brother in law) said that the pastor gave a real quick answer to pacify him so he would leave - we didn't get to finish this conversation because ......my son had shot a bird and i saw approx. where it had gone down so i was going to retrieve the bird. I walked in a clearing and stepped to another pasture and lost my bearings so i headed back. Then i regained my bearings and turned back around and headed straight in the direction i thought the bird had gone. Well as i parted the tall grass and got to the edge of the clearing - a shot rang out from an adjacent property line. I took bird shot to the face, arm, hand, back and leg. Pretty much down the right side of my body for a total of 14 pellets. I wasn't sure if i would make it - i was at first scared sort of and began to pray - i wasn't ready to go. I didn't know at that time that the injury was not life threatening. I calmed down very quickly but still was not knowing.

They took me to the ER - and looked at the wounds and sent me for a CAT scan. They did give me a tetnus shot but i stopped them until they could tell me what was in it. The tech came back and said that this particular vendors tetnus vaccine was made with bovine - so i allowed the shot. They also gave me one antibiotic shot but i'll admit i forgot to ask about that one.
Once i got in my room (seeing as how they admitted me) i felt as though i needed to battle most of the night so as to not give the enemy any ground to make me ill. The nurses would come in and bring me gadgets to breath with so i didn't get pnemonia. Asked about pain levels so they could give me meds. My pain was not and is not bad suprising enough. SO each time someone would put a thought or suggestion on the table (so to speak) i rebuked the though. In fact at one point my temp was at 99 degrees. Not high but something to watch. SO i prayed about that too - i didn't want their meds. The next time they took it it was back to the normal temp. HalleluYAH!

Anyhow, they suggested that i leave the pellets in because it was cause more damage to take them out and perhaps they will work their way out over time.

I was allowed to come home today (the 2nd day of the week - about 2pm) i'm sore, bruised but all in all i'm okay.

My husband used an eyepiece to get a closer look at some of the holes and could see the pellet in one of them and he dug it out - didn't hurt . he worked on my thigh too - in which the pellet had gone through my jeans...... he pulled a fibre from the pants out of the hole but not the pellet it was too deep. SO..... now i'm concerned about infection. In fact, the only thing they really did at the hospital was clean off the blood - no cleaning agents like peroxide or anything was used. So this too is my concern.

I shared with my husband the reason why i believe this happened to me (of course i could be wrong) but i think it was the enemy which caused it so that i would not complete my conversation with my brother in law.

All of the things that happened are a testimony to each of our walks too - i was extremely (i think) calm - once i got in the truck - my oldest told me how brave i was - she even took some paper towels to cover my head and hers so we could pray. We have all just pulled together too - it just shows us how very quick something can happen.

I believe I've covered most of it............
